ISIS Calling for Attacks on Law Enforcement

The nation’s largest police force is on high alert after ISIS re-released a propaganda video urging the murder of “intelligence officers, police officers, soldiers and civilians” in the U.S., a development federal law enforcement agencies as well as the NYPD took seriously, given recent events — including last week’s Islamist rampage in Paris.

“Strike their police, security and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents,” the video, released on Twitter by ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammad Al-Adnani, urges. It specifically named the United States, France, Australia and Canada as targets.

    Hello Jack:

Sorry for changing the topic, not trying to be impertinent.

You said a while back in response to someone who posted about the bag ban that it would take 5 votes on the city council to over turn the bag ban. This is not true. It only takes 4 votes.

The council would have to wait a year from the time it is passed to do this (which I believe is March) if the members who voted for the bill are not willing to re-consider the ban. (And I’m sure Schwab and the other two liberals would not re-consider.)

But the council can choose to by pass this policy, so they don’t even have to wait until March.

If you have any questions about this I suggest you contact Dani Brinkely in city hall.

So the conservatives could over turn the ban and very soon if they want.

Thanks Bart I will check into this, however I was actually advised by a council person who investigated the matter and I was assured that it takes 5 votes, so somebody has made a mistake and we’ll have to see. I will consult your source. Your information is appreciated.

    Back to the post subject.

I just read this on line:

    http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/paris-magazine-attack/charlie-hebdo-massacre-jihadist-mentor-farid-benyettou-condemns-attack-n284471

If the person speaking is telling the truth, then maybe the Muslim community is waking up and realizing they too have a stake in stopping the Jihadist.

I am skeptical at this point and will wait for other articles prior to forming a opinion.

His statement could be nothing more than propaganda to get France and other counties to relax their guard, or it might be a break though, lets hope for the latter.
When the peaceful followers of Islam speak up and against the Jihadist, the sooner this needless radical terrorist activity can be crushed.

So far, I will restate, they(peaceful Islam)have been way to quite as a group, to help prevent these terrorist execution style murders..

  3. Tina says:

Harold retired General McInerny articulated a five point plan this morning that included forming a coalition of nations, including those in the Middle East and their high profile Imams. He said we will only defeat these guys if/when peaceful Muslims stand with the West against the enemies that damage their religion and murder people of all races and creeds in the name of Islam. He thinks they should issue monthly fatwas.

At some point one would think that if these people and their leaders were serious about Islam being the “religion of peace” they would act to rid the religion of this cancer. It would be the most dramatic way to demonstrate their genuine desire to be a peaceful religion, would it not?

  4. Bart says:

OK, Jack. It will be very interesting to see what happens. My understanding is that there are similar bag bans in cities throughout the state and even in cities in other several other states such as in Oregon, Hawaii and even Texas (Austin for one).

I have never heard of a ban being overturned. If Chico does overturn it I bet it would make national news and outrage the so called “environmentalists” throughout the nation. Maybe the council doesn’t want that kind of attention.

  5. Chris says:

    Harold, thanks for posting that.

While I appreciate your newfound willingness to listen to moderate Muslims who condemn Islam, I disagree that Muslims as a whole have been too quiet about the issue over the years. Many Muslims have been condemning the radicals for years, it’s just that the media hasn’t done much to report it.

I found this (slightly snarky) article from the religion blog Patheos kind of illuminating. The author documents many instances of Muslim leaders condemning terrorism and implores readers to do more research on the subject. (I find number 5 a bit strawmannish, but the rest are very good questions.)

7 Questions to Ask Before Asking if Muslims Condemn Terrorism

    1) Do I know any Muslims in real life that I can ask?

    2) Am I actually following any Muslim activists, scholars or leaders on social media outlets?

    3) Am I assuming that if Muslims are not condemning violence done by other Muslims 24/7 in the medium that I personally follow, so that I can see it when I check into FB or Twitter at a time convenient for me, then that means Muslims support terrorism and are inherently violent people because of their religion?

    4) When I meet a person of a different faith is my immediate assumption, “This person is Catholic, he must be a child molester” or “This Jewish woman hates all Muslim children and wants them to be bombed” or “This person is a Christian, he must want to steal the money of gullible old white ladies who think the Rapture is imminent?” Or is my assumption when I meet people is that they believe all these things are abhorrent and that we share these basic values?

    5) If some people of a faith tradition have committed criminal acts, even if they claim it’s done in God’s name, does it automatically mean that every person of that faith tradition supports crime?

    6) This Hindtrospectives blogger sure sounds mad. She claims that Muslims have been condemning all kinds of Muslim terrorism for over at least over a decade on every medium available to them. Is it up to me to find these condemnations, or is it up to them to make sure I see the thousands of condemnations they’ve issued in the past?

    7) Do I know what a search engine is? If so, I wonder what will come up when I type “Muslims condemning terrorism?”
Was that too snarky? Oops, sorry. Here’s a make-up present for you – Sunni and Shia British imams denouncing ISIS together. That clip has less than 40,000 views – can we work together to change that?

Re #6 Chris: “Harold, thanks for posting that.

ROTHLMAO! Get that ****. “new found willingness”.

Once a condescending and specious ass, always a condescending and specious ass

Such is his magnificence. The magnificent, snotty, ass.

  7. Pie Guevara says:

Hey Harold! Are not you thankful and proud to have the perpetual mean little kid and snotty ass give you a pat on the back?

You need to make an apology post and have Tina and Jack present it like the gut churning Soul Seeking main.

Frankly, this Chris crap makes me want to vomit.

  8. Chris says:

In the spirit of mutuality and fairness:

    Go **** yourself, Pie.

  9. Chris says:

For the record, contrary to the attack dog’s latest spittle-filled sh*t-vomit, my remarks to Harold were not a “pat on the back.” Apparently Pie’s mind is so rotted from bigotry that he cannot see a genuine compliment when he sees one. He is determined to divide and fuel tribal hatred, so even genuine agreement is used as an excuse to insult.

  10. Chris says:

(Apparently I need to resort to talking like Pie in order to draw the moderator’s attention to how horrendous his comments are.

    I feel dirty.)

  11. Pie Guevara says:

The magnificent Chris objects to me identifying his snotty condescension. So much so he falls back on his usual diatribe calling me a bigot with a rotted mind full of hatred.

    Nothing new here.

Harold, I too appreciate your “new found willingness”! 😀

  12. Pie Guevara says:

By the way, now that I have dispensed with the ever magnificent condescending one, the story Harold linked to is truly a wonderful one.

I hope that it has some influence on Muslim youth in France.

  13. Harold says:

Ref: Chris replies Harold, I too appreciate your “new found willingness”!

Chris, thanks for your support of post, however on my part there is no NEW FOUND anything, I still stand strongly about my prior postings, which boils down to,” too little and too late.”

Yes it was a interesting news post.

However as stated before, the Islamic community as a whole has been silent and “protective(result of silence)”about exposing the jihadist fraction of the their religion.

Because of such, I hold them just a culpable for all jihadist terrorism and deaths.
