Tina’s Absence

by Jack

Post Scripts fans have been asking, where’s Tina?  Well, we were not going to say anything because she is a very private person, but Tina is recovering from a serious medical procedure.   Not to worry, she’s doing fine, but that’s all I can say out of respect for her privacy.   She will be back soon enough.   I know you all are wishing her a speedy recovery… me too!

Nope. The only verbal abuser here is you.

  10. Southern Comfort says:

This here Pie feller got Chris nailed to the side of the barn just so.

Meanness don’t just happen over night. Folks don’t change neither, they just get more so.

We’ve always held out hope that Chris would moderate his tone, especially with Tina. Chris has made some gestures that he gets it. So, if I see a person making an honest effort to be kind (or at least semi-respectful) I have to acknowledge that. I’m hoping everyone here will give Chris another chance when he officially is allowed back in another week.

All we are asking is that everyone who uses PS as a free speech podium refrain from those really frustrating personal attacks, or personal threats or profanity. It just shouldn’t be that hard, right? We can even tolerate some lightweight personal attacks, we’re not thin skinned, but we do have limits. The ER (our boss) has very clear stated rules for us to abide by, so we try, we just have to make a good faith effort or we’ll lose our soap box…we don’t want that do we? No, of course not. I’ve learned some amazing things here and I have so much respect for the brilliance you all have shown us here in our comment section.

    Re #10 and #11

After about the five thousandth time Chris effectively called Tina (and Jack) stupid, ignorant, knuckle dragging, racist, bigoted rubes (paraphrasing here, the effect of his language is the same) I got fed up with this rude and pompous twit and his arrogant clown airs of moral and intellectual superiority.

If there ever was a person trying to fill Quentin Colgan’s shoes, it is Chris.

Chris claims to be an educator of youth. Given his behavior in the Post Scripts comments section, can you imagine how he treats his students? Can you imagine how he treats any student who crosses his political sensibilities and has the misfortune of disagreeing with him?

I shudder to think of it. I shudder to think of the kids he bullies like he bullies Tina and Jack.

I believe Chris will ultimately be the instrument of his own destruction. It is just a matter of time. If he truly is an educator of children he will eventually bully the wrong kid.

Please get well Tina. We need you!

I’ll try to get everyone an update on Monday. Till then, on behalf of Tina, thank you for your words of concern and well wishes.

Pie, better yet would be the conservative dream team of Hillary, pres. and DWS, vp.

  17. Pie Guevara says:

    Re #17 Peggy:

    LOL!

But seriously, which would be the better Hillarity dream team VP choice? Debbie Wasserman Shultz or faux Cherokee Elisabeth Warren?

Let us not forget another Democratic party power house, Debbie Stabenow. She can feel global warming when she flies.

  18. Pie Guevara says:

Re #15 Southern Comfort “Don’t wish to start a ruckus over this here Chris person, and I will respect your askin’”

You start? Not hardly.Chris started that long ago, even before he took up the reins of the late and not at all missed lunatic Quentin Colgan.

The deranged Colgan was stripped of his teaching credentials in California. I once had a pdf of persons so named generated by the state, but have lost it now. No matter, he is dead and may he rot in peace.

Chris is well headed down the same path. It is just a matter of time.

  19. Chris says:

Jack, this is exactly why I asked you not to publish my comment. I just wanted Tina to know I wished her well. This thread is supposed to be about wishing Tina well and now instead it’s become about insulting my character, my history with this site, and even my teaching profession, something Pie knows nothing about but is determined to baselessly speculate about. It’s really sad that your friend feels the need to twist a simple prayer, a show of compassion from one human being to another, into another excuse for him to bash me. If this is what I’m going to come back to when the ban is lifted, I don’t see why I would come back.

Oh, can’t forget Bite-me-Joe, who according to Gates in his book has been wrong over 40 times on foreign policy alone.

“”I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” former Defense Secretary Robert Gates says of Vice President Joe Biden in his new book coming out later this month. Gates’ assessment of Biden’s boss is only slightly better, depicting an Obama administration with very murky lines of communication on military issues.”

Checking in on my way back.

Your warm wishes and prayers mean a lot to me. I think of all of you as close friends.

My original medical problem required surgery which was delayed for a month but it was resolved with the best possible result, very good news! Unfortunately 2 weeks into recovery I started to falter and ended up back in the hospital with water on my lungs and while they were treating that, just for fun, I experienced atrial fibrillation. The drug worked so I didn’t have to be zapped! I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, and fine staff at Enloe.

I’m home now. All energies are spent catching up at work. Still a bit of discomfort and lack of energy. But, I hope to be back with you full time in the near future, God willing. I’ve missed all of you terribly…by now I’m screaming, “I just want my life back!”

  24. Chris says:

Glad to hear you’re doing better, Tina. I’ll continue to hope for a speedy recovery.

  25. Peggy says:

Welcome home! We’ve missed you. Jack’s done a stellar job in your absence, but it will be good to see you wit and humor again.

On my way out the door for dinner. Let me know if you need anything. Jack has my number.

  26. Post Scripts says:

Tina, I am so happy your are out of the hospital. Harold and I were just talking about you this morning and hoping you were doing ok. So, this is wonderful news. Welcome back… and don’t worry all is fine here- we just missed you!!!! You just focus on what you need to do at home first, we’ll see you soon enough.
