2016 Violence Predicted

by Jack

Remember, I said it was highly likely that someone was going to die/or be seriously injured last night during my son’s police shift?  Well, it came pretty close a fatal with this one:   “High speed chase which began shortly before 11:00 pm with the vehicle hitting a telephone pole in the area of the 1500 block of Valencia. It is unknown why the suspect did not yield to officers.  The extent of the suspects injuries were unknown as of…

‘The second violent incident occurred shortly after 12:00 midnight when residents reported a man running and shooting an Ak-47 in the area of Fay and… “  For more details see story on New Years through a cop’s eyes.”  There were plenty drunken fights and other kinds stupidity, any one of which could have resulted in a death… people, go figure.

PS Chico had another stabbing, 1st stabbing of the year… sounded like it could be another homeless guy.   Then we had a potential burglar, definitely a homeless guy.  Police said Bryan Miller, a 31-year-old homeless man, allegedly knocked on the front door of a home on Lorinda Lane, he then went into the backyard and tried to enter.

Two weeks before Christmas my only vehicle, a pickup truck was stolen.I was shocked because the truck is so beaten up that thought anyone would be stupid enough to steal it.

    Wrong.

It was recovered the Monday after Christmas following a short chase in Chico where it was driven up over a curb, blowing out both front tires, and smashed into a brick wall in downtown Chico. The thief escaped on foot.

Upon retrieval from the tow company, I discovered a syringe on the dashboard. Whoever stole it also had put truck parts (from another similar vehicle) in the cab and also had a for sale sign on the dashboard.

There is no doubt in my mind that thief was a tweaker idiot who was going to try and sell my truck. But to who would buy it? The only thing that comes to my mind is another tweaker idiot.

I got bitten again by sloppy editing changing sentence structure in the above. Shouldd have read …

I was shocked because the truck is so beaten up that I never thought anyone would be stupid enough to steal it.

And I noticed the error and repaired it before reading your correction comment…LOL. An editors job is never perfect.

So sorry to hear your truck was stolen. I’m glad it was recovered and hope your insurance will cover the cost of repairs.

We see a lot of people in the streets these days protesting for political reasons and painting themselves as victims. Often the only thing they need do in this free nation is mind their P’s and Q’s, get educated and trained, and live an upstanding life.

Criminality, drug use, and bad behavior are widespread in this country. The tolerance level is much too high for this bad behavior. The attitude seems to be a combination of “let the cops handle it” (total joke with the anti-cop movement), and “where’s the compassion for the criminals.” it’s time for a little outrage for law abiding citizens being victimized, for real, by thugs and low-lifes!!!
