Election: The Importance of the Hillary Email Scandal

Posted by Tina

Myra Adams of National Review raises an important question in the election that derives from a single issue. It will have a profound effect in our lives beyond the politics and beyond the election. The question: Can the American people depend on the strict adherence to the rule of law? At issue the FBI investigation into the Clinton email scandal and whether the Justice Department will make a political rather than a legal decision regarding indictment. Myra Adams:

The political bombs will begin to explode when the outcome of the FBI investigations are announced or leaked. Finally, there will be concrete answers to questions that have dogged Clinton’s presidential campaign for over a year. First, did her use of a private e-mail server violate laws or jeopardize national security? Second, did the Clinton Foundation benefit financially from her tenure as secretary of state? Third, was there a connection between soliciting foundation donations and the need for a private e-mail server?

Ultimately, further Justice Department action, or inaction, will either strengthen or crack the foundation of law on which the integrity of our nation was built, thrived for over two centuries, and still rests today. The most favorable outcome of the Clinton case would show all Americans (and the world) how the United States is a nation of laws where all citizens are treated equally. Conversely, the worst possible scenario would prove that the rich and powerful are judged by a different set of standards, especially in the case of a presidential candidate running for the incumbent president’s “third term.”

At a time in our history when the people are in need of economic rescue, our relationships with allies have been dramatically soured, and the world is threatened due to leadership failure, it is sad indeed that we are saddled with a scandal of epic proportions in one of the major contenders for President. The future of our nation is already bleak but if the rule of law fails so as to protect a candidate in her chances to be president our nation will receive a deadly blow. The dangling threads of civility will be ripped apart and we may never again be able to hold our heads high.

Hillary should be rejected by voters until her email issue is legally resolved.

Hillary should be arrested, charged, and prosecuted. But we all know that is not going to happen. That only happens to small fry. Not the anointed.

  2. Tina says:

It certainly feels like that, Pie.

We’ve all become cynical about the Clinton’s but it is going to be a long hot summer of surprises and bombshells. I’m ready for anything.

Hillary should be in prison instead of running for president and so should her conspirators at the State Dept. who hid her Benghazi email/s for over two years allowing her to destroy 30,000 emails we may never know their relevant content.

State Department Hid Key Clinton Benghazi Email from Judicial Watch:

“Email Info Could Have Exposed Clinton Server in 2014

(Washington, DC) – The Obama State Department last week admitted it withheld a key Benghazi email of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from Judicial Watch since at least September 2014. If the State Department disclosed the email when first supposedly found, Clinton’s email server and her hidden emails would have been disclosed nearly two years ago, before Clinton authorized the alleged deletion of tens of thousands of emails.

The developments come in a July 2014 Freedom of Information (FOIA) lawsuit seeking records related to the drafting and use of the Benghazi talking points (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:14-cv-01242)). The lawsuit, which forced the disclosure of the Clinton email records, seeks records specifically from Clinton and her top State Department staff:

Copies of any updates and/or talking points given to Ambassador Rice by the White House or any federal agency concerning, regarding, or related to the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Any and all records or communications concerning, regarding, or relating to talking points or updates on the Benghazi attack given to Ambassador Rice by the White House or any federal agency.

Contradicting an earlier statement to the court, an April 18, 2016, State Department letter admits that it found the email at issue in 2014 but was held back in its entirety:

Also, upon further review, the Department has determined that one document previously withheld in full in our letter dated November 12, 2014 may now be released in part.”

Here is one of several articles that came out today.

The Email That Makes Benghazi Look Way Worse Was Just Released- Hillary And Obama Hid It For Years:

“Even as terrorists attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012, the Hilary Clinton-run State Department was told that military forces were ready to come to its aid, according to a newly uncovered email previously kept secret.

“The Obama administration and Clinton officials hid this compelling Benghazi email for years,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The email makes readily apparent that the military was prepared to launch immediate assistance that could have made a difference, at least at the CIA Annex. The fact that the Obama Administration withheld this email for so long only worsens the scandal of Benghazi.”

The email, released by Judicial Watch, was sent at 7:19 p.m. EST by then-Department of Defense Chief of Staff Jeremy Bash, more than three hours after the initial Benghazi attack and about an hour after a second attack at a CIA Annex almost a mile from the main compound. Two Americans were killed at each location.”

Thanks for posting this news to my story Jack. The discovery is significant for so many reasons.

“Contradicting an earlier statement to the court, an April 18, 2016, State Department letter admits that it found the email at issue in 2014 but was held back in its entirety.”

That’s a nice way of saying someone at the State Department LIED to the court, indicating cover up. (Nixon – the cover up was worse than the crime) The people should be outraged. Those of us keeping track are outraged. Judge Napolitano advises patience, the FBI is busily confirming each bit of evidence with a second source to make a solid case. The more we learn of the Hillary/Obama State Department the more obvious it becomes that Hillary should never be president. In fact she should quietly go away, preferably to a prison cell for a few years.
