Chris wrote in comments that this report from Snopes settles the matter regarding the mysterious death of John Ashe. Chris always thinks he’s found just the source to discredit items with potential to harm Hillary and the Democrats once and for all…typical authoritarian. But Chris is a poor communicator. He operates on belief system, partisan politics, and (noticeable) bigotry toward those who do not think as he does. Let’s examine what was in that Snopes article:
WHAT’S TRUE: Former UN Official John Ashe died in June 2016 at his Dobbs Ferry home. His death was initially misreported as a heart attack rather than an accident, and he was about to begin pre-trial meetings related to corruption charges at the time he died.
WHAT’S FALSE: Ashe’s corruption trial wasn’t set to begin just days after his death, and he wasn’t going to testify against Hillary Clinton.
Okay, while it’s true that Ashe wasn’t scheduled to testify “against” Hillary Clinton specifically, it IS TRUE that he was set to answer questions related to “corruption charges” regarding ” Hillary Clinton and “co-defendant” Chinese billionaire Ng.”
So who is this Ng character? Back to Bob’s source, Mac Slavo of Zero Hedge. He calls attention to the thing that makes a possible conspiracy believable: “Call it conspiracy theory, coincidence or just bad luck, but any time someone is in a position to bring down Hillary Clinton by testifying they wind up dead.”:
Now, another official has found himself on the wrong end of the Clintons. That John Ashe was a former President of the United Nations General Assembly highlights the fact that no one is safe once in their sights. … The New York Post’s Page Six reported that after Ashe was found dead Wednesday, the U.N. claimed that he had died from a heart attack. Local police officers in Dobbs Ferry, New York, later disputed that claim, saying instead that he died from a workout accident that crushed his throat.
Adding to the mysterious nature of Ashe’s death was the fact that he had been slated to be in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, from whom he reportedly received over $1 billion in donations during his term as president of the U.N. General Assembly.
And then there is this: During the presidency of Bill Clinton, Seng , [Ng] illegally funneled several hundred thousand dollars to the Democrat National Committee.
Hmmm…lets dig deeper. In April 2016 McClatchy reported on the Panama Papers, the scandal involving off shore accounts:
WASHINGTON Hillary Clinton recently blasted the hidden financial dealings exposed in the Panama Papers, but she and her husband have multiple connections with people who have used the besieged law firm Mossack Fonseca to establish offshore entities.
Among them are Gabrielle Fialkoff, finance director for Hillary Clinton’s first campaign for the U.S. Senate; Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining magnate who has traveled the globe with Bill Clinton; a member of the Chagoury family, which pledged $1 billion in projects to the Clinton Global Initiative; and Chinese billionaire Ng Lap Seng, who was at the center of a Democratic fund-raising scandal when Bill Clinton was president. Also using the Panamanian law firm was the company founded by the late billionaire investor Marc Rich, an international fugitive when Bill Clinton pardoned him in the final hours of his presidency.

Ng Lan Seng, currently incarcerated in the U.S. on charges of bribery in the John Ashe case, has close ties to the Clinton family and the Democratic National Committee, not only being a major donor to the Clinton Foundation in recent times but also pleading guilty to a felony for illegal contributions to the DNC in a Democratic fund-raising scandal towards the end of Bill Clinton’s presidency and the beginning of Al Gore’s presidential campaign. In 1998, a Senate committee reported Ng, of Macau, China, sent $1.1 million to Little Rock, Arkansas restaurateur, Yah Lin, who in turn contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Democratic National Committee for years on Ng’s behalf. Ng’s relationship with the Clintons is well documented as he had visited the White House 10 times from 1994 to 1996 and had his photograph taken with President Bill Clinton and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, as seen in the attached photo from ABC News. Ng was also, according to court papers, served in July 2014 with a subpoena to appear Sept. 17, 2014 in connection with an unrelated investigation, but never showed up.
USA Today reports on Ng’s recent incarceration,
At a bail hearing Saturday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Richenthal described Yin, a U.S. citizen, as Ng’s right-hand man in his U.S. operations, someone who played a key role in transmitting funds.
The prosecutor said Yin spoke to law enforcement after his Saturday arrest, admitting he transmitted money on Ng’s behalf to pay people to do unlawful things, though Yin interrupted the prosecutor, saying: “That is not true,” according to a hearing transcript.
Federal Defender Sabrina Shroff, representing Yin, said at the hearing that her client, educated in the United States with family here, may have served as Ng’s “mouthpiece” but the cash and the investments were not Yin’s.
“He doesn’t know what Mr. Seng is doing with the money at the end of the day,” Shroff said.
Ng’s arrest occurred in September of 2015 and spurred the investigation into John Ashe when authorities discovered Ng had, according to Manhattan federal court papers, smuggled over $4.5 million into the United States over several years with the excuse that he had used the money for gambling and buying paintings from art dealers. According to the New York District Attorney Preet Bharara and the FBI, Ng and Yin were previously arrested on September 19, 2015, based on a separate complaint alleging that Ng agreed to make false statements to Customs and Border Protection officers about the true purpose of the cash that Ng and Yin had brought into the U.S. from China since 2013.
There’s a big freakin’ cloud of smoke around Hillary and Bill Clinton. We owe it to ourselves to see every stick of material that sourced the fire!
People like Chris who can casually dismiss evidence of corruption, including a criminal investigation involving Hillary’s time at State as well as possible ties to her Foundation, should concern any American…our leaders must be held accountable! Our nation is grounded and supported by the rule of law. If the courts are seen to be corrupt then the very foundation of the nation is compromised. The law must apply to all citizens, even the wealthy power couple Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Evidence of corruption and wrong doing is serious and should be taken seriously. Suspicion of criminality should be thoroughly investigated and, when appropriate, brought to trial WITHOUT political interference. Attempts to dismiss and minimize Hillary’s legal troubles indicate deep moral corruption and stupidity among too many in our citizenry.

The destruction of that server alone should have spelled the destruction of Hillary’s political career, and would have, if not for the likes of her many apologists both professional and nonprofessional.

Dewey we cannot investigate or prosecute political parties. Nor can we prosecute a group, “the big corporations.” In America individuals are held responsible through the courts. When individuals are protected from scrutiny by media and fawning citizens the system breaks down. When corrupt politicians are allowed to “try” individuals in Kangaroo courts (Clarence Thomas) with the willing corrupt partisan press, the system breaks down.
Your argument that Trump is just another corrupt politician and part of “business as usual” in Washington doesn’t hold water. He lives in New York, a “town” of corrupted bureaucrats and mob connected unions in the building trade that shut out competition from independents, protect their buddies in related fields of work, and keep prices sky high. It’s said you can’t get anything done in NY without playing the game…as a builder, Trump is well aware of how these corrupt bodies work. His international dealings, and his inclusion in the world of the famous with its glitz and paparazzi give him insight into the machinery of these things on a global scale as well. Unless you have evidence to demonstrate criminal activity please refrain from lumping him in with the truly bad actors in DC that we do have evidence against. He has not been convicted or tried for any crime as far as I know. Civil cases are not the same thing. Even there, nothing of substance has been brought against him that’s gone unresolved as far as I know. Trump works within the system, including the courts.
Campaign contributions alone do not mean corruption. Generally speaking anyone who contributes to a campaign is looking out for his own interests. Ordinary citizens pick candidates based on issues like healthcare, taxes, and the environment…and they expect action for their contributions! There is only verifiable criminality and corruption when a direct line can be drawn between a sizable contribution and specific legislation. That seems to be the case with Hillary Clinton and foreign donors with the added improper wrinkle of her foundation and her time at State. She has attempted to avoid transparency with that private server, she later lied about it several times…there is hard evidence that she is corrupt.
The most direct way to reduce pay to play corruption is downsizing. Our government is too big and costly with to much power to pick winners and losers and way too much power to destroy businesses and lives. The current governments wanton destruction of the coal industry, aside from the environmental issue, should make every American gravely concerned. If the government can destroy or takeover one business it can do the same with any business thus effecting thousands of lives. This is fascism. It is ugly and it is absolutely against everything we Americans once stood for in solid unity.
The Republicans in Congress have announced a tax plan with reforms in the tax code to make it simpler, to eliminate loop holes, and to allow the average American family to report their taxes on a postcard. It also structures business taxes to provide incentives for businesses to locate and pay taxes in America rather than spending money to avoid oppressive taxes by moving elsewhere. This is a move in the direction of less bloated and less powerful government. If you really do care about eliminating corruption you need to get on board.
Flailing about and waving red flags is fine as far as it goes, people do need to wake up. But if we are not awakened with clarity of purpose and well defined goals we will be left to enraged anarchy without direction…chaos. This is where ideology emerges as an important factor. Chaos would suit the radicals of the left just fine. They operate on agitation; they want the populous enraged and misdirected to a “cause” but lacking in grounding that would preserve freedom and rights. They make “others” in the population the enemy to give agitators a place to focus their attention…a distraction that serves a dual purpose: A) Corrupt elites are free to “transform” America without scrutiny, and B) Conditions are created to create permanent single party rule. Those who agitate on the left are dupes, unconscious participants in a corrupt scheme to transform America away from a representative republic as founded and toward a Marx based one party state. “The Soviet government argued that multiple parties represented the class struggle, which was absent in Soviet society, and so the Soviet Union only had one party: the Communist Party.” Fascism is simply another step in the transformation.
Hillary Clinton is part of the elites that think of themselves as worthy to lead the world. If she is elected president we will move swiftly to become just another cog in the wheel that international elites believe they should control. There’s no evidence to suggest Trump is part of this elitist ideological cabal. He is the only viable choice we have that offers an intention to preserve our free nation and move in the direction of restoring limited government (A daunting task).
Today more than any others it should be made clear that the Democrat Party is not a party that celebrates individual rights and freedom. It is a body whose leaders push an agenda that is antithetical to individual freedom and rights and that works to undermine political competition and individual participation.
Our choices for president in this election are between a demonstrably corrupt woman of international reach and a man who has yet to be tested in the world of politics. Trump is the only candidate that gives us a prayer of beginning to reverse the damage already done to this great nation.
It isn’t about “blame” Dewey. And it isn’t just about corruption at the highest levels. It is about deep ideological differences. If you don’t put those differences in the picture you can’t see why it’s so important to expose individual corruption and to root it out.

I kept reading an article here and another there, but there were so many it was hard to keep them all straight along with those involved. Many of the names kept coming up again and again. It’s very confusing as I’m sure it is designed to be. Plus, information once disclosed never has an ending.

In ‘Crisis of Character’ by former Secret Service agent Gary Byrne the author describes an incident identical to Bill Clinton’s “chance” meeting with Loretta Lynch on the Phoenix runway and an agent who had testified during the Monica Lewinsky investigation.
Read this excerpt from Byrne’s blockbuster book:
“Not long after my video deposition, I was talking to a Secret Service colleague who worked the West Wing Lobby. He had just resumed his shift after returning from his own testimony. The president had just visited him. That was extremely suspicious—my associate was spooked.
‘He just came out and came straight up to me like—like he was looking for me. Yeah, and he asked how I was by name. We chatted—like small talk—like normal. And then he asked how my wife and kids were. . . . We’ve never actually talked before.’
Nothing about that was normal. It was obviously a subtle form of intimidation. The president was sending a message that he knew of the officer’s recent testimony—and perhaps was sending an even more sinister message. I certainly was glad to be at JJRTC, away from them. It was all so wild, so bizarre. Prior to that, the president didn’t seem to know my fellow officer by name. Someone—most likely the president’s attorneys—advised him to make small talk immediately after the officer testified. The president’s little ‘hint’ spooked both of us. It confirmed to me what I suspected: That was indeed how they operated.

Also, whatever happened to all of those incorrect Clinton Foundation donation entries the IRS said they had to correct and refile? I believe the last I read was the Foundation wasn’t going to make them.

“The Clinton Foundation expects to re-file tax forms for the years 2010 through 2012 because of possible errors in reporting contributions from foreign governments. The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) also is expected to re-file its Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990 for 2012 and 2013.
The Foundation reported receiving no funding from foreign and U.S. governments for three consecutive years starting in 2010, after millions in contributions reported in previous years, according to reports by the Reuters new agency. The foundation also might audit returns going back 15 years.
In a statement on its website, the Clinton Foundation said total revenue was “reflected accurately on each year’s tax form, and there was no under-reporting or over-reporting. We are in the midst of conducting a voluntary external review process and will determine whether to re-file after that process is completed.”
“As far as we know, the only error on our tax forms was that government grants were mistakenly combined with all other contributions for three years. These grants were properly listed and broken out on audited financial statements and donors also were included on the annual donor listing. All total revenue and expenditures on these forms were accurate but as we are committed to transparency and accountability and as such, we expect to re-file.”

I’ve had similar problems in my back. There are over the counter creams (and patches) with lidocaine now; I intend to use the cream whenever I start to feel those twinges.

It would be bigotry if the suggestion of a temporary ban came up based in attitudes against all people of the religion. It did not. It sprung from factual knowledge that Islamic terrorists are embedding in the hordes of refugees fleeing Syria and the then recent Islamic terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino. It is based in security not religion; the radical warring political Islam…not the religion.

It may have been inaccurate to claim that Ashe’s testimony had anything to do with the current case against Hillary. It is not outside the realm of possibility that his testimony could reveal connections to Hillary given her criminal troubles, her past involvement with her husband to Ng, their many connections discovered in the Panama papers, and the connection of the their foundation and the “global Initiative” to the UN. It is entirely within the realm of possibilities that something Ashe had to say would further indict or at least besmearch the reputations of Hillary and Bill.

They just gotta suck it up. I got so infuriated with “Hear and Now” going on and on the other day about airport security after the Attaturk bombing. There is no such thing as as airport security that will prevent three guys from getting out of a cab and opening fire. Security can deal with it once it starts, but there is no preventing it … with increased security.
Counter-terrorism is a wide-ranging field of endeavor, however, and one very important component is NOT to be seen to publicly violate the founding principles. If the enemy can provide examples, instances, where we demonstrate that the principles and protections are not extended to Christians, but not to Muslims … they win.
