Hillary Promises Free College Tuition if Elected

Posted by Tina

It’s official, a President Hillary means tuition free college. It’s too bad that most of young voters and their economically challenged parents don’t realize the down side.

What good is a free education if you can’t find a job?

A suck-up attempt to woo Bernie supporters, but you’ll notice that $hrilLIARy doesn’t say how “free” college tuition will be paid for.
Those who would believe $hrilLIARy should read James Comey’s list of $hilLIARy’s lying transgressions before deciding whether to believe her.

Stop allowing them to concentrate you on the emails. It’s the hidden secrets in them. I think some FBI is pissed.

It is a Huge House of cards. Mark My words. I have read enough emails and with the common knowledge I can feel it.

Corruption at it’s highest levels of USA and foreign gov’s are at risk if they allow this to be opened up in a court…….

it’s all about the Foundation not just the emails.

I can not vet it yet…….. but … if it is true there were SAPS on that server………. That is incredibly scary…… No One has SAPS on a server…..

We need to know one way or another……

It’s was a plan for “free” college that would cost $350 billion according to Politico last year.

Whatever she’s offering now is getting mixed reviews

What about the people buried in student loans?

If most everyone else gets free college going forward you can bet they will feel like suckers stuck with all that debt!

And what about all those who busted a gut to work their way college? Are they suckers, too?

So to be fair shouldn’t $hillerary write off everyone’s student loans (there is currently over $1 trillion in student debt) and pay the tuition of those who worked their way through college?

And with the feral gooberment $20 trillion in debt and with hundreds of trillions in unfunded liabilities how does all this get paid for?

There’s not one liberal who infests this blog that has any answers to these questions.

    • Libby says:

I’ll tell you how it gets paid for. Not the one percent, nor the two percent, but the top twenty percent, after a 40-year abrogation of their responsibility to the state … forks over and pays up … and they pay up big, as there is 4o years worth of damage to repair.

      • bob says:

You are inane and clueless. Most people in the top 20% spend well over a third of every year working for the gooberment.

        • Tina says:

Not only that but progressive policies have made sure that nearly half have no responsibility at all. So that 1/3 of a year, actually it’s closer to half a year for Californians and New Yorkers, is one heck of a lot of responsibility.

      • bob says:

How about everyone’s pay check is made out to the gooberment and then the politicians and bureaucrats sent us how much they think we deserve. The same goes for every business. Or outlaw cash and checks and have every cent remitted to the gooberment electronically. At the end of each week the politicians and bureaucrats debit our accounts based on how much they think we deserve. You’d love that, wouldn’t you?

      • bob says:

“…responsibility to the state … forks over and pays up … and they pay up big…”

Spoken like a true commie. Stalin would love you. You are the ideal apparatchik. Stalin and you will be together eternally in Hell.

    • Dewster says:

The collections agencies and loan sharks in student loans are predators,

I say we bailed out the banks find sensible guidelines to excuse some of that debt….. And at the least stop the high interest that keeps one from paying it off

Business can send money to a shell account and then file bankruptcy after they are done raiding assets but education? It is a crime!

      • Tina says:

Interest rates have been very low for many years.

        Refinance!

Of course if students were educated as they should be, they might know they have that option.

But you forget Dewey that the Obama took over the student loan business right after he was elected in 08. Our government has made a nice little profit in the deal:

The $41.3 billion profit for the 2013 fiscal year is down $3.6 billion from the previous year but it’s a higher profit level than all but two companies in the world: Exxon Mobil cleared $44.9 billion in 2012, and Apple cleared $41.7 billion. … Estimates show more than $1.2 trillion in student loan debt across the nation, more than the nation owes on credit cards.

Progressive LOVE other peoples money and big government. they don’t get it means less for all of us…less opportunity and less individual wealth building capability. They DO know how to rack up debt!

What is needed is less government involvement. As long as the colleges know their bottom lines will be subsidized through government student loans and grants they have no incentive to lower tuition or keep costs in line. colleges are bloated at the top…high salaries and perks and too many expensive administrators.

I have a feeling the entire education system is about to get a major overhaul due to it’s incompetence and bureaucratic bloat.

Carrot and stick, carrot and stick. this is the Democrat bit.

  5. Peggy says:

If the socialist democrats have their way for the first time in our nation’s history children will be paying for their parent’s education instead of parents paying for their own children.

God, I wish democrats would pull their heads out of the sand and realize nothing is free unless everyone is willing to work for nothing.

  6. Tina says:

    You sell it as “free.”

    You do it for votes

You AVOID explaining to the people what it will mean in terms of costs and you assume your message will go out to ignorant people.

    Left media does it’s part:

Huffington Post, “Hillary Clinton Unveils Debt-Free College For All, Adopting Major Bernie Sanders Plank”

KSL, “Would you get free tuition under Hillary Clinton?”

NY Magazine, “Hillary Clinton Embraces Free Public College (for the Non-Wealthy)”

Time, “Hillary Clinton Adopts Major Bernie Sanders’ Idea: Free College for (Almost) Everyone”

More conservative media rebut it as expensive:

Reason, “Hillary Clinton Proposes Free College Tuition, Won’t Explain How to Pay for It”

FOX, “Hillary Clinton to unveil $350B college affordability plan”

TownHall, “Huh, Hillary’s “Free” College Plan Isn’t Actually Free”

The Federalist, “Hillary Clinton’s ‘Free College’ Plan Will Work As Well As Obamacare”

  7. Libby says:

I can’t be responsible for what a passel of poor journalists get up to, though one of them did at least put the “public” qualifier in there. Because that is the other thing, this is only public colleges were talking about. The Ivy League goes on about its business unmolested.

And we won’t take it all the way back to free. If the human does not have something invested, it will not apply itself … we know from long experience.

I remember paying $104 per semester at SFSU. $100 in tuition and $4 in student activity fees, whatever the hell they are.

Back to this is where we are headed.

  8. Libby says:

On the news today, I heard a list of states read out that spend more on prisons than education. The list was much too long.
