Virginia Knife Attack “Might Be” Terror…Really?

Posted by Tina

I get it. In America a man is not guilty until proven guilty in a court of law. We use the word “alleged” to describe criminal activity as we should. But must we bend over backwards when a man named Wasil Farooqui randomly attacks a couple with a knife yelling “Allahu akbar?” Is it really necessary to be so careful as if such an attack is not ISIS inspired?

ABC reports:

The FBI has launched a federal terrorism investigation into a weekend stabbing in Roanoke, Virginia, looking at whether the attacker may have been trying to behead his victim in an alleged ISIS-inspired assault, sources told ABC News.

Federal authorities have been aware of the alleged attacker, 20-year-old Wasil Farooqui of the Roanoke area, for some time, sources familiar with the case told ABC News. In the past year, sources said, he traveled to Turkey and may have tried to sneak into Syria, where ISIS is recruiting and inspiring sympathizers from around the world.

Farooqui has been charged with assault with malicious wounding and is being held without bail. His behavior is consistent with the activities of terrorists. That’s all I need to know.

I don’t understand why you can’t understand. If you go all “I’m being terrorized !!!” … ISIS wins.

Think now … and tell me … I mean, people go off half cocked with weaponry in this country EVERY SINGLE DAY … how does somebody yelling some nonsense or other make one assault different, special, or terror?

The creep is in custody. That’s all you get … and … that’s all you should need.

Libby, of course if one allows oneself to be terrorized it contributes to the motive of the terrorizor. That can’t be in question, but the motive for being aware of such things as a preventative step is invaluable and just as valid as your premise. I am not terrorized, just the opposite, I am driven counter terrorism by whatever legal means avail me and so should you.

Libby doesn’t seem to realize that posting this information isn’t about cowering in a corner.

But then this is a woman who went nuts when Bush was president and can’t even muster a wrinkled brow as this president has overseen the explosion of ISIS, terror strikes across the world, destruction and war in several nations, and the worst refugee crisis we’ve ever witnessed.

It seems Libby just cannot acknowledge the horrendous failures of the Obama presidency that was supposed to be so wonderful and so she takes shots at the messengers of the bad news.

        Typical.

      • Libby says:

No, we are not going to incarcerate all the Muslims, so just get over it.

    • Tina says:

No Libby…what we can have and did have under Bush was a safer country!

It’s absolutely dumb and unconscionable to think we have to just learn to live with this.

It is also annoying that you aren’t going ballistic given your nasty criticisms of the former President who stands head and shoulders above this man in terms of fighting terrorism and keeping the American people AND THE WORLD safe.

“how does somebody yelling some nonsense or other make one assault different, special, or terror?

Stick your head right back in the sand, Libby.

You are incapable of discussing what has become under Obama/Hillary an exploded, well funded, well organized and systematic effort to disrupt and destroy western civilization.

This not the same as common criminality. This is Hitler with designs on a superior ruling class and brand new unorthodox methods to accomplish those ends.

“You are incapable of discussing what has become under Obama/Hillary an exploded, well funded, well organized and systematic effort to disrupt and destroy western civilization.”

That would be because no such thing has occurred. Anybody who thinks that subsidized healthcare and education is some kind of harbinger of the apocalypse … is a nut-bunny.

” Anybody who thinks that subsidized healthcare and education is some kind of harbinger of the apocalypse … is a nut-bunny.”

Subsidized healthcare is too expensive and limiting for everyone.

Education has been losing ground for decades…we used to be #1 in the world. Now we rank 17 out of 50 countries. (See my post about the CA Supreme Court decision tomorrow)

But what has either of those to do with “…an exploded, well funded, well organized and systematic effort to disrupt and destroy western civilization.” (ISIS/terrorists) ? That is the subject at hand.

People like you, radical Muslim terrorist deniers, lived in the neighboring countries when Hitler began his march through Europe. It’s a matter of whether you want to handle this now or later when your own doorstep is threatened.

    Somebody’s a nut-bunny but it isn’t me.

    • Libby says:

I just used nut-bunny because I was getting bored with “paranoid” … which is really more accurate. I’m sorry to put a crimp in your entertainments, but the apocalypse simply IS NOT upon us.

And we are not going to let your aberrations impede the advance of civilization.

  3. Tina says:

Oh great seer, please tell us, how exactly you have “advanced civilization” in the last eight years?

  4. Pie Guevara says:

Farooqui screamed ‘Allahu Akbar!’ What part of that do morons like Libby do not get? Duh.
