HILLARY v TRUMP DEBATE Tonight 6 PM PST

Posted by Jack

The TV pundits say most voters will judge the entire debate by the first 15 minutes.  The experts believe voters will not care enough about whatever follows to change their opinions.  It’s also been said by the political experts that the issues will matter less to the voters than charisma, confidence and poise.  So, the fate of the nation will once again be in the hands of the low information voters who want to be entertained.

I’m confident you’re many times smarter and better informed than the average voters.

The debate will be broadcast live on all the major networks and leading cable sites, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox, Fox News, MSNBC, and PBS NewsHour, Telemundo, and Univision.

The debate will last 90 minutes unless Hillary faints or other medical issues.

Lester Holt will be the moderator.  One area that will be delved into is the break down in trust, lack of support and rancor between the black community,( liberals in general) towards the police across America.   Expect the Q & A to be focused on what the police must do better, not the other side…they never are held accountable by the media or by politicians for obvious reasons.

Well, Trump was his usual unfocused self. Hillary was her usual focused self. Stasis is maintained.

All we can do is wait for the body count: how many morons are there in this country?

    • Tina says:

The election of ’08, Hope and Change, showed we have a large population of what you call “morons.” It was proven again in ’12 when this nation gave the president and his horrid band of criminals another shot at destroying the economy/jobs and creating ever greater terrorist challenges. After ’12 we got a even more…scandals showing the IRS and other departments have been used against the people, a private email server was used to hide activity from the public, our leaders negotiated with a sponsor of terrorism, hoards of people are crossing into our nation without the proper legal paperwork, and so much more…and we still have a lousy economy with a lousy jobs picture.

Even a “moron” will act in his own best interests. The question remains, do those “morons” ever wake up or have we been so inundated with liberal progressive crap that they have even lost the ability to protect themselves from evils of corrupt politicians.

Hillary came prepared with talking points at the ready. In the process she proved she is a practiced and wily politician. Her plan to bait Trump worked several times. Her opinions were well articulated and presented as fact. She is a consummate liar and deceiver. She was willing to play it down and dirty and went there in terms of personal attacks. Her smug demeanor and contempt did not look presidential, however. Instead of looking strong and capable she resembled a woman at a cat chat pouring out invective to entertain her gal pals. She looked petty and disrespectful. She put a disgruntled sub contractor in the audience to use as a point of intimidation and scorn…the circumstances of course were left out…nasty, nasty politician.

Donald Trump came unprepared for debate. I hope he takes this experience, learns from it, and does much better next time. Although he was quite good in making the point that Hillary was part of the team that has made America and the world such a mess, he missed several opportunities to shove that point home. He missed several opportunities to explain why his tax policies would work and why hers represent more of the same and will not improve conditions. He got bogged down on the trade issue. He did hit Hillary on several policy points but played it soft on the more personal issues and on the issues of her character. Given her performance perhaps it was a mistake.

I don’t think Trump or Hillary were hurt by this debate performance. At the same time I don’t think either will either surge ahead because of it. Hillary’s close supporters probably think she hit it out of the park; I think she was the Hillary we all expect. I don’t think Trumps close supporters will be as pleased by his performance but he was more authentic. She is a shrew.

I wasn’t informed by this debate…I wasn’t even entertained. I was turned off by Hillary’s smug sense of superiority, especially in the face of her many egregiously unethical practices and failures. Hillary Clinton is the quintessential politician. She lies, she covers, and she never truly admits to being responsible. Her weak, “I take responsibility,” for the decision to use a private email server is meaningless clap trap. When facing an opponent she accuses, she slaps, she hits below the belt while pretending she’s always been above board. What a phony!

Trump did nail her on her email stating factually that she did it on purpose and has not taken responsibility. (Responsibility is accountability and she avoids being accountable)

I was disappointed that Trump lost focus several times and let the debate become about him when I know that he knows it’s about the people and the conditions in our country and the world. But Hillary’s pandering wasn’t convincing either and showed her contempt for the people and the conditions we face. I gag every time she or Obama pretend the last seven years of poor economic growth and the abysmal pay and jobs situation isn’t real or is “improving.” When after nearly eight years of control they expect us to believe that redistribution, destroying energy companies, Obamacare, and taxing the rich works…an absolute insult to our intelligence and yet another indication that Hillary, a politician, cares only about Hillary’s gigantic personal ambitions.

All in all a pretty disappointing night.

You really don’t like other women, do you?

Tina, I wrote another response that has disappeared. When I tried to post it again it said it was a duplicate. Mystery?

    • Tina says:

Mystery to me Peggy. I’ve been busy doing other things. Jack may have some information.

I’ve had the same “duplicate” window pop up. Either that or I’m accused of posting too fast. In a hat tip to a friend Laurie, I’m going to blame the blue people who are always accused of stealing things like socks in the dryer and car keys.

What was the subject of your comment? I’ll take a look to see what I can find.

  5. Deplorable J Soden says:

Lester Holt was auditioning for a new job as press secretary should $hrilLIARy win.
He protected $hrilLIARY, admonished ONLY the Trumpsters in the audience and displayed his bias by NOT asking questions on $hrilLIARy’s Bubba foundation, her health, her untrustworthiness, Benghazi, and the orgchestrated FBI/DOJ cover-up. But then, he DOES work for the Nothing But Clinton network . . . . .

Yes, it was disappointing. Anyone else notice that $hrilLIARy had a look about her as if she was lightly medicated on valium?

    • Libby says:

Poor J … that was the look of a woman who did her homework and prevailed.

Maybe a little too triumphantly satisfied with the results of her hard work, but to my mind, it’s past time the woman caught a hard earned break.

    • Tina says:

Yes…or another drug that causes blinking and eye darting. The woman rarely focuses her eyes forward. What does she need to conceal?

  6. Libby says:

“I was disappointed that Trump lost focus several times and let the debate become about him when I know that he knows it’s about the people and the conditions in our country and the world.”

Do you really know that? When once the early stage of Alzheimers is suggested, a person comes to see more and more of it. Alzheimers patients are impatient and peevish and the focus of their entire world.

  7. Libby says:

I knew I would enjoy the reporting more than the actual debate:

“The crowd in the hall at Hofstra literally laughed out loud when Trump declared that he has a better temperament than Clinton. ‘I think my strongest asset, maybe by far, is my temperament,’ he said.”

“The Clinton super PAC, Priorities USA, released a new ad at 3:33 a.m. highlighting this quote. What follows are 25 seconds of him saying outrageous, unhinged things at rallies. The sport will run in North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada and Pennsylvania.”

3:33 a.m. Lord preserve us poor afflicted citizens … on the other hand ….

    Yee-Hah!!! Ride ’em, Hillary!

    • Tina says:

So far Hillary has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on such ads and still must ask contemptuously “Why aren’t I 50 points ahead?”

She’s making movie shorts for her rabid fans…BFD, to quote the VP.

If you think the frozen smiling Hillary on stage last night is the woman that would preside in the Oval Office, think again. She is a shrew, a phony, and a failure.

Everything we stand for is NOT Hillary Clinton.

      • Pie Guevara says:

That manic display of character was magnificent.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVCHU4wCBQg

      • Max says:

Well, it’s a good question. She’s a woman who has spent her entire life in this particular field, and the other night she spent an hour and a half patiently listening while a loud, angry man who’s never worked in her field told her that she’s doing everything wrong and he could do it better.

I’ve had many women tell me this is a familiar experience to them.

The question is a valid one, but the answer does seem somewhat obvious, and comments like “shrew” make it even more obvious.

      • Libby says:

She is a shrew, a phony, and a failure.

No, you think “she is a shrew, a phony, and a failure.”

You need to start working on this sort of thing. Also, do you think you could come up with some epithets that are not gender-based … your misogyny has been much on display of late.

I mean, four years of this?? It’s already old.
