Worst Foreign Policy Speech in History

by Jack

Some are calling Kerry’s speech on Israel the worst foreign policy speech in U S history. Kerry couldn’t exit quietly, he just had to rip on Israel and now we have reignited the Israeli-Palestinian settlement issue. Kerry was parroting the Obama (liberal) position, and it was a total disaster fraught with mistakes and condescensions.

Let’s get to the point, here’s what made his speech STUPID:

1. Kerry insisted the “explosion of settlement activity” necessitated the action. Administration officials cited a “100,000” person increase in population beyond the 1949 armistice lines.

The figure of 100,000 sounds significant until you realize that 80 percent of it has been in the settlement blocs “everyone knows” Israel will retain in any conceivable peace agreement. The 20,000 person increase east of the separation barrier, established to stop the wave of Palestinian mass murders against Israelis, translates into less than one percent of the population in the disputed territories, over a period of eight years.

It is ludicrous to argue that the settlements are an “obstacle to peace,” because they were not an obstacle to offering the Palestinians a state on three separate occasions: (a) in July 2000 at Camp David; (b) in the Clinton Parameters six months later; and (c) in the Olmert offer at the end of the one-year Annapolis Process in 2008. Each time, the Palestinians rejected a state on substantially all of the West Bank and Gaza with a capital in Jerusalem. Since then-as Rhodes’ numbers show-the vast majority of Israeli settlement activity has been within settlement blocs that no one can realistically expect Israel to dismantle.

Israel already committed to a 10-month settlement freeze with no reciprocal move by the Palestinians. Moreover, the vast number of additional units are within the confines of existing blocs pursuant to an agreement memorialized in an exchange of letters between President George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2004.

2. There is genocide occurring in Syria. Russia has invaded multiple countries. Iran is chiseling away on the JCPOA and seeking to destabilize multiple countries. Egypt and Turkey are engaged is an unprecedented crackdown on civil liberties. But in the final days of the administration, Kerry chose to single out our ally Israel. No wonder our friends do not trust us.

3. He revealed that the United States didn’t have the courage to vote for the resolution although it had a hand in it. He acknowledged telling other countries the United States would not block it if it was “balanced and fair.” The resolution, incidentally, never required the Palestinians to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
4. Kerry never addressed the role of Iran, Syria and others who fund Hamas and its attacks on civilians.

5. He blatantly cast Hamas (terrorism) as equivalent to home building for Jews, much of it in Israel and in Jewish blocs elsewhere “The truth is that trends on the ground — violence, terrorism, incitement, settlement expansion and the seemingly endless occupation — are combining to destroy hopes for peace on both sides, and increasingly cementing an irreversible one-state reality that most people do not actually want.” This is moral idiocy.

6. He asserted that the Palestinian state must be contiguous. This raises the question whether he is demanding some connective corridor between Gaza and the West Bank. This would be a new demand.
7. He hypocritically acknowledged only direct negotiations can solve the crisis. He and the resolution, however, do not demand, for example, Palestinians give up the right of return. He is either intentionally obtuse or lying about the resolution’s predetermination of key issues between the parties.

8. Kerry neglects to mention that Palestinians are not supportive according to recent polling of the steps needed to achieve peace: “A deal that would mark a final end to the conflict and an end to claims was supported by 64 percent of Israeli Jews, but only 40 percent of Palestinians. Making the new Palestinian state entirely demilitarized gets the backing of 61 percent of Israeli Jews but only 20 percent of Palestinians.” The speech was designed to hold one party, Israel, responsible for the conflict.

9. The speech was pointless, simply an empty rhetorical jab designed to respond to criticism of the administration.

10. Kerry is very concerned about Israel’s democracy. If only he would spend as much time criticizing the Palestinian Authority for lack of elections, massive corruption and failure to establish viable civil institution.” From an article by Rick Richman.

Consider this and Kerry looks even dumber:

1. From 1946 until 1958 Jordan controlled the West bank where Israel now builds homes contrary to the wishes of the Palestinians and the UN. But, Jordan didn’t make any attempt to give this territory to the Palestinians and nobody was upset with Jordan were they? But, the Israelis won this region in the 6 days war and now they are developing it and the US liberals are having a fit.

2. Israel has no agenda with the Palestinians, except to coexist and live in peace. On the other hand the Palestinians are taught from childhood to embrace death as a martyr and drive the Jews into the sea.

3. Only one nation in the Middle East has a constitution that protects basic human rights, including the over 1,000,000 Palestinians that live among them…and that of course would be Israel.

4. For the last 5000 years the Israeli’s have never NOT occupied the land they now live in and share with the Palestinians. During this time Israel has been called by many names, Jericho, Phoenicia, Caanan, Judea, to name but a few and it had as many rulers.

5. After WWII the British controlled Palestine and local control was lost because the previous ruling body had allied itself with the Nazis. By 1948 there was massive resurgence of immigration from Europe’s displaced Jewish population to form a reborn country of Israel.

6. To this day, the United States has no better friend in the Middle East than Israel, and both Kerry and Obama would rather be pals with the Palestinians?

Obama and Kerry are going to leave as much chaos and disaster as they can before January. Can’t wait till these clowns are gone!

Obumble and Lurch have finally taken off their masks with their collusion on the UN resolution. They thought they could get away with an abstention, but their plans have failed. History is not gonna treat either kindly.
Obumble even went so far as to spend US taxpayer $$ sending one of his political hacks over to Israel to help campaign against Netanyahu during the last election.
And “Swift-Boat Lurch” has once again displayed his selfishness and contempt for others with his sorry excuses for the UN resolution.
Perhaps its time to return to the days of tarring and feathering politicians and riding them outta town on a rail.

This was the worst foreign policy speech ever by a US SoS.

The very notion that Palestinians want a state of their own is absurd. Everything they do tells the world that their commitment and goal is the destruction of Israel. They never honor peace agreements, they continue to teach future generations to hate Israel and wish their complete annihilation, they do nothing significant to improve conditions for the people.

Other Arab nations want nothing to do with the Palestinians. There’s a lesson to be learned in that. Until this tribe chooses to mature and adopt ideas and policies that lift them out of the barbaric past and into this century they should not be indulged as equals nor placated with promises of a state of their own. These actions just encourage them to create continuous antagonism, disruption, violence, and death.

The damage done in the ME, and by extension into Europe, America, Africa and Asia by this administration is sizable. Cleaning up the mess we’ve made will not be easy nor will it be inexpensive. With mature people in place at least the opportunity for resolution is possible through, I pray, an actual strategy .

    The Architect of Destruction
    By Maureen Scott

Barack Obama appears to be a tormented man filled with resentment, anger, and disdain for anyone of an opinion or view other than his. He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. that was instilled in him by his family and mentors…it seems to have never left him.

It is not the color of his skin that is a problem in America . Rather it is the blackness that fills his soul and the hollowness in his heart where there should be abiding pride and love for this country.

Think: Have we ever heard Obama speak lovingly of the U.S. or its people, with deep appreciation and genuine respect for our history, our customs, our sufferings and our blessings? Has he ever revealed that, like most patriotic Americans, he gets “goose bumps” when a band plays “The Star Spangled Banner,” or sheds a tear when he hears a beautiful rendition of ” America the Beautiful?” Does his heart burst with pride when millions of American flags wave on a National holiday – or someone plays “taps” on a trumpet? Has he ever shared the admiration of the military, as we as lovers of those who keep us free, feel when soldiers march by? It is doubtful because Obama did not grow up sharing our experiences or our values. He did not sit at the knee of a Grandfather or Uncle who showed us his medals and told us about the bravery of his fellow troops as they tramped through foreign lands to keep us free. He didn’t have grandparents who told stories of suffering and then coming to America , penniless, and the opportunities they had for building a business and life for their children.

Away from this country as a young child, Obama didn’t delight in being part of America and its greatness. He wasn’t singing our patriotic songs in kindergarten, or standing on the roadside for a holiday parade and eating a hot dog, or lighting sparklers around a campfire on July 4th as fireworks exploded over head, or placing flags on the grave sites of fallen and beloved American heroes.

Rather he was separated from all of these experiences and doesn’t really understand us and what it means to be an American. He is void of the basic emotions that most feel regarding this country and insensitive to the instinctive pride we have in our national heritage. His opinions were formed by those who either envied us or wanted him to devalue the United States and the traditions and patriotism that unites us.

He has never given a speech that is filled with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better and grateful and proud that in a short time our country became a leader, and a protector of many. Quite the contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he faults our achievements as well as any critics or opposition for the sake of a laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses his Office to threaten and create fear while demeaning and degrading any American who opposes his policies and actions. A secure leader, who has noble self-esteem and not false confidence, refrains from showing such dread of critics and displaying a cocky, haughty attitude.

Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissension, unrest, and anxiety among the people of America , rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the “Great Uniter”). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping people separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security. He incites people to be aggressive toward, and disrespectful of, those of differing opinions. And through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of street-fighting gangs, when he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured.

Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power.
Never has there been a leader of this great land who used such tactics to harm and hurt the people and this country.

    · Never have we had a President who spoke with a caustic, evil tongue against the citizenry rather than present himself as a soothing, calming and trustworthy force.

    · Never, in this country, have we experienced how much stress one man can cause a nation of people – on a daily basis!

Obama has promoted the degeneration of peace, civility, and quality of cooperation between us. He thrives on tearing us down, rather than building us up. He is the Architect of the decline of America , and the epitome of a Demagogue.

“established to stop the wave of Palestinian mass murders against Israelis”

Source of this mass murder? Get Real! BiBi is a thug now under investigation

Looks to me like Palestine is surrounded and blocked in while Israel uses US Taxpayers money to buy US bombs and mass murders the heck out of Gaza.

Add to that Israel controls their electricity and water and turns it off most of the day for long periods.

Or how about Remember the USS Liberty…… Never mind those US Men

Also MSM has been lying about Syria

Americans … Too many of them are clueless cause they get their news from major networks

    In other words Hogwash

    • Jack says:

Dewey, the terrorist attacks and murders of Israelis has been ongoing for decades. Add it all up, it’s horrific. This fact, which you deny, calls into question your own knowledge and credibility. It’s been attack and retaliate, attack and retaliate since 1947. One side wants to live in peace and with a multicultural society and the other side worships death and martyrdom in order to kills Jews. They could care less about multiculturalism, peace, or human rights…that would be the side you support. Nice Dewster, real nice.
