Leaker You’re Fired!

by Jack

President Trump has the support and admiration of tens of millions of American when he takes bold action to stop the White House leaks. Anthony Scaramucci, President Trump’s new communications director, announced moments ago he was given the power to take whatever action may be necessary, up to and including firing his entire press relations staff, in order to stop the leaks to the media.

If there is one thing democrats and republicans will agree on, it’s that nobody likes a rat. With very few exceptions, anyone who sells out his boss and his team while claiming loyalty is no good. His/her actions undermine the best efforts of the team elected to serve the people, not to mention threatening the employment of many loyal and patriotic people. Such a person has no character and has to go!

I practically cheered when I heard, “I’m going to fire everybody — that’s how,” Mr. Scaramucci told reporters in the White House driveway, when asked how he planned to identify who had been leaking to the press and ensure that the disclosures stopped. He said he had authority directly from Mr. Trump to do so.

“You’re either going to stop leaking, or you’re going to get fired,” he said.

Why to you keep insisting that it’s the reporting of the behavior, rather than the behavior itself, that is the problem.

This does not make any moral sense at all.

I’ve been a little fast and loose with the language lately, but I should definitely not repeat the adjective related in this article:

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2017/07/25/trump_humiliation_of_jeff_sessions_alienates_republican_alt_right_allies.html

… even though it is attributed to a “cabinet level official”. Now, if indiscretions are being blurted at so very high a level, don’t you think it’s the indiscretions, and not the blurting, that is the problem?

    • Post Scripts says:

The problem here does have exceptions and that’s why I said so early in the article. If the leaker had some high moral calling it might be understandable, if he was right. But, he has to be right and so far I’ve not seen anything except leaks designed to only embarrass Trump and undermine his presidency. Trump has not done a thing that was illegal and therefore the leaker should have kept the information quiet. I know he’s not done anything illegal because if he had the democrats would have a lynch mob outside the White House. What he has done is make some minor mistakes, said some overly blunt things and improperly used that twitter account, but he’s far from being the crazy maniac trying to destroy America that the dems want us to believe. So, my feeling is the man is being picked on relentlessly and the leakers are a bunch of lowly partisan rats who should be exposed and fired.

      • Libby says:

“So, my feeling is the man is being picked on relentlessly ….”

Really? You really think that the furor over his speech to the Boy Scouts was uncalled for? No leakers responsible for that one. Now I’m thinking, the last damaging leak I remember is his phone call with Teresa wherein he did his “fatuous idiot” faultlessly. The Brits leaked that, and I don’t blame them.

He wants us to quit picking on him, he has GOT TO STOP doing jackass things.

        • Tina says:

          Jackass things?

Barack Obama was your hero for many years while he made Jackass statements and did jackass things.

And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

          “police acted stupidly”

“The private sector is doing fine.”

“I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.”

“…I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.” (punished…really?)

“It’s very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth- or sixth-most interesting person.”

“No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.”

“Whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower….” (is that why he turned to social engineering in the military?)

“Let’s not play games. I was suggesting – you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith.”

“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…That’s the world! On which hope sits!”

“Nobody really thinks that Bush or McCain have a real answer for the challenges we face, so what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he’s not patriotic enough. He’s got a funny name. You know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He’s risky.”

“The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person…”

“When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking — whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia…” (He was in Hawaii)

“It was also interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate. There’s a lot of — I don’t know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing.”

“Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under a McCain…administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change.”

“In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” –on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people

Is it time we stopped the games or are we going to continue?

          • Libby says:

No, Tina … no “Obama did this ….” You have to explain to me how it is that making a political pitch to minors spiced with salacious innuendo is not the behavior of a jackass.

You cannot deny he did it (or can you? … you delusional thing, you).

You tell me how it was appropriate behavior in a President.

      • Libby says:

But this, from CNN, may constitute “picking”:

“Despite the attacks, Sessions has no plans to resign, sources have told CNN. Instead, he’s forging ahead with his duties as attorney general, including routine meetings with administration officials at the White House.

“His vehicles were spotted around 9 a.m. ET at the West Wing, where he regularly meets with fellow officials. He was not expected to meet with Trump.

“The President, meanwhile, wasn’t scheduled to begin his workday until 10:30 a.m. ET, and wasn’t present in the West Wing while Sessions was there.”

So, somebody was at work, and somebody else wasn’t, and facts is facts, though CNN did kinda go out of its way to point that out.

        This is so much fun.

    • Post Scripts says:

Libby, I read your link and some parts were ok, but this part was very discomforting, “White nationalist Iowa Congressman Steve King tweeted that Trump’s agenda would be “crippled”without the AG.” White nationalist? What’s with the blatant racism and fake labeling at Slatest.com? This kind of thing undermines the authors credibility.

      • Chris says:

Jack, that statement seemed extreme to me as well at first, but after doing a Google search it seems the shoe fits. King has peddled blatant white nationalist catchphrases such as “demographics are destiny,” “We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies,” and worst of all, asked what non-whites have ever done to contribute to civilization. It is discomforting that there is a white nationalist in Congress, but that’s where we are in 2017.

        • Tina says:

“…blatant white nationalist catchphrases such as “demographics are destiny,” “We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies,” and worst of all, asked what non-whites have ever done to contribute to civilization.”

          Newspeak anyone?

These are legitimate concerns ‘in the context of an agenda of “fundamental transformation,” the Reconquista movement, and both violent and quiet Jihad.

I can understand having grown up terribly PC how that last one in particular sounds racist, however, can you answer the question? What have non-whites contributed to modern civilization? Is the list extensive?

Another question is vital for full understanding. What is the difference between the West and most of the rest of the world where so many people suffer because they lack even basic improvements like accessibility to clean water and toilets?

A comment can be seen from different perspectives and therefore have totally different meaning. Yo u are trained to look through a race lens and you have rules that keep you from even considering legitimate issues and concerns.

Tom Tancredo defended Kings comment at Breitbart:

his week Congressman Steve King of Iowa made the following comment on his Twitter account about the outcome of the Dutch election contest between nationalist candidate Geert Wilders and the incumbent socialist Prime Minister:

“Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.”

By the ensuing mud fight, you would think Congressman King had praised the beheading of children or “honor killings.” But, no: King had only committed a crime against “diversity” by saying American culture is different and is worth saving. …

… Steve King Is watching the slow collapse of European civilization and suggesting that the United States follow a different course. Perhaps if his Republican critics bothered to examine the demographic assault on Europe they would not be so quick to condemn his Paul Revere-like warning.

Turkish President Erdogan tells Muslims in Europe to have “at least five children,” because, “You are the future of Europe.” Do you think Erdogan is planning to win the
2040 World Cup—or something more “comprehensive.” If the Muslim Brotherhood has its way, it is the future of America as well.

Our nations citizens have fully supported immigration for decades. Only recently have we changed the regulations, discouraged assimilation, and imported hordes of people without hesitation. This practice undermines our nations most treasured value, freedom, and more concerning, invited elements that would like to destroy America.

This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with continuing and preserving the values of our American republic. In case you’ve forgotten the highlights: freedom, individual rights, equal justice under the law, the rule of law not the rule of men, tolerance, religious liberties, gun rights, the right to speak and assemble. Are these not valuable and worth preserving? These things are not, as Reagan once said, passed on in the blood but must be taught if future generations are to be free.

          Think about it…please.

          • Libby says:

Tina, this entire screed only confirms that you agree with Steve King’s white nationalist agenda. I know you don’t see it. Why you don’t see it is a mystery … but it is true.

            For instance:

“This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with continuing and preserving the values of our American republic. ”

If the values you purport to preserve are WHITE (horrified by multiculturalism) and NATIONALIST (get these furriners the hell out of my country), guess what? … you are a white nationalist … disclaimers notwithstanding.

  2. J. Soden says:

Continuing the Swamp drainage with the famous words “You’re Fired!”

Now let’s apply that to those members of the “intelligence” fraternity who seem to be so zealous in their mission to take down TheDonald that they would risk our security!

  3. Chris says:

I think it’s worth asking why there are so many leakers under Trump. Has any other president had this many people under his leadership who have anonymously badmouthed him to the media behind his back? If not, what does that say about Trump’s leadership? Wouldn’t a better leader inspire more loyalty than this?

Of course, we know from his treatment of Sessions, among many others, that Trump has no loyalty to anyone else, and will sell out even his earliest and most ardent supporters if they have the audacity to, say, recuse themselves from an investigation that they are legally required to recuse themselves from.

That he will attempt to publicly humiliate anyone he isn’t fully satisfied with is old news at this point–we all saw his disgusting treatment of Cruz (ugly wife and dad might have killed JFK), McCain (not a war hero), Jeb (has to like illegal immigrants because his wife is Mexican, Fiorina (ugly face) and all the other Republican candidates during the primary. So why should any of his underlings give him loyalty when they know that will never be returned? Usually it’s an honor to serve the president–any president, of any party. But anyone who goes to work for Trump, at this point, is a sucker, and they should start counting down the days until Trump throws them under the bus too.

    • Tina says:

There were leaks during the Bush administration. Some leaks were particularly bad because they put our soldiers lives at risk. The Bush administration called the NYT one time and begged them not to publish. Of course they did anyway.

11/29/05, The Weekly Standard, “Leaking At All Costs – What the CIA is willing to do to hurt the Bush administration.”

…In one leak after another, generally to the New York Times or the Washington Post, CIA officials have sought to undermine America’s foreign policy. Usually this is done by leaking reports or memos critical of administration policies or skeptical of their prospects. Through it all, our principal news outlets, which share the agency’s agenda and profit from its torrent of leaks, have maintained a discreet silence about what should be a major scandal.

Recent events indicate that the CIA might even be willing to compromise the effectiveness of its own covert operations, if by doing so it can damage the Bush administration. The story began last May, when the New York Times outed an undercover CIA operation by identifying private companies that operated airlines for the agency. The Times fingered Aero Contractors Ltd., Pegasus Technologies, and Tepper Aviation as CIA-controlled entities. It described their aircraft and charted the routes they fly. Most significantly, the Times revealed one of the most secret uses to which these airlines were put…

Bush took the polite, presidential route. Forty years ago this would have been a major scandal. Trump is president because the people have had it. They elected a scrapper.

There are many Lois Lerner types working to undermine the Trump administration . This would be happening no matter who in the Republican camp won the last race.

Democrats are covert as he77 and never let up.

The Wahsington Free Beacon, “State Dept. in ‘Open War’ With White House – Source: State Dept. ignoring White House edicts, going rogue on key issues”

Just hours after a Palestinian terrorist murdered several Jewish civilians, the State Department told the Free Beacon that it is not clear what motivates such violent acts. The statement sparked anger within the administration and on Capitol Hill, where many viewed the State Department’s declaration as a sign the agency is openly rebelling against the White House.

“It’s no secret that the State Department is waging an open political war, which includes policy insubordination and press campaigns, against the Trump White House,” according to one veteran foreign policy analyst who regularly briefs the White House and Trump appointees in the State Department.

“Foggy Bottom is still run by the same people who designed and implemented Obama’s Middle East agenda,” the source said. “Tillerson was supposed to clean house, but he left half of them in place and he hid the other half in powerful positions all over the building. These are career staffers committed to preventing Trump from reversing what they created.”

These are career people. It’s not easy to fire government employees with “tenure.” If they’re willing to sabotage their president you know they are willing to do just about anything.

Regarding Sessions and the AG office see Consrvatve Treehouse

…the Department of Justice (under Obama, Holder,Lynch) was weaponized politically and legally by the executive branch against ordinary American citizens. A political example was the joint effort between the DOJ and IRS to target political opposition, the Tea Party and organizations like True the Vote.

The legal examples of DOJ weaponization extend from “Fast and Furious” gun running ops to the targeting of the manufacturer of Gibson Guitar, and to legal cases involving local police departments like Ferguson Missouri, Baltimore Maryland and individuals like George Zimmerman. These are only a few examples; there are many more.

Attorneys’ General Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder did not participate in these examples alone. Under their guidance there exists a myriad of corrupt officials, black hats within the DOJ, who participated in all aspects of the weaponization and the outcomes therein.

This underlying corrupt architecture is what Jeff Sessions is choosing to ignore. This is the source of Trump’s frustration and disappointment. These deep state black hats within the DOJ are transparently not being confronted…

A few House members are pressing for a special prosecutor to look into Comey’s and Lynch’s investigation and handling of Hillary’s email scandal.

Our government is a big political mess. I have a feeling this is what our Hamilton had in mind when he advised that we had a republic…IF we could hold on to it. There’s too much money and power in DC and too many activists posing as public servants.

Why should underlings give him loyalty?

Because he was elected by the people! They don’t have to like him.

The level of disrespect, impropriety and down right abuse that is leveled at our representatives, and has been for decades, is a much larger disgrace. We are here because the left media, entertainment, and educational sectors declared open season on Republican candidates after Nixon. The truth is if you are going to continually lob grenades at the opposition party you have to expect that at some point they will begin to fight back and fight back hard. Trump pulled back the curtain on the double standard, the hypocrisy, and the phony pretense of decency.

The left destroyed it’s right to be shocked, dismayed, offended, wounded, insulted, and affronted. Just as it has lost it’s standing concerning illegality, decency, bigotry…you name it!

  4. Tina says:

The latest example of disrespect was shown to newly promoted Sarah Huckabee Sanders who the New York Times and MSNBC referred to as a liar and called her incompetent…Some guy at the Daily Beast called her a “butch queen”

“Butch queen first time in drags at ball,” he tweeted to his followers – along with a photograph of the press secretary.

Madison is the same “journalist” who cracked a racially-charged “joke” about Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Asian-American granddaughter during his confirmation hearings. His tweet implied Sessions had borrowed her from a Toys-R-Us store so that he could use her as a political prop. Madison later apologized and deleted the tweet. (BFD) … he also penned a disgusting attack on Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson – wondering if his rule in the Trump White House was going to be “house or field.”

Hmmm, shades of the Bush administration when the left got away with referring to Condi Rice as Bush’s House Ni@@er” and other disgusting things.

Yep…can’t say I’m all that upset with ill-mannered Tweets, at least in terms of Trumps questioned “character.”

The thing that bothers me is that we have come to this…and yeas, I place much of the blame on progressives and their agenda to “fundamentally transform” our nation.

  5. J. Soden says:

ANOTHER story that media presstitutes are ignoring:

    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/449842/bizarre-criminal-investigation-schultzs-it-aide

The Demwits are the biggest threat to national security we have!

    • Tina says:

And the Demwits in the media aid and abet them!

There is no crime to investigate in the Russia probe regarding Trump. It is a totally open fielded fishing expedition. they are looking for evidence of a crime.

There are countless crimes that do deserve more air time and proper investigation.

The so-called Russian hacking of DNC computers.

The Schultz IT guy is another big one. One of the guys tried to leave the country and was arrested by the FBI.

Hillary’s 30,000 destroyed emails, some of which have been recovered. The investigation waged by Comey needs to be investigated. There were several inappropriate goings on (narrowing the investigation and not putting people under oath for instance).

The IRS should be investigated for targeting, and harassing conservatives. It goes on and on…The rot in DC is extensive.

There’s something going on with these tweets besides the left’s and GOPe’s hysteria over them.

  6. Tina says:

Libby: “Tina, this entire screed only confirms that you agree with Steve King’s white nationalist agenda. I know you don’t see it.”

And your response confirms that you are hopelessly stuck in a narrow, closed minded, PC agenda that does nothing but create phony excuses to promote division and animosity and at the same time blunts discussion that is vital to the resolution of serious problems. War, poverty, equal justice…

“If the values you purport to preserve are WHITE”

Who called the values white…YOU! I referred to them as western values. It is you who concentrates on race. I am asking what in order to point to the most obvious difference: FREEDOM!

Face it Libby, you are a PC bigot…I know you don’t realize it…don’t mean to be, but….

    Still with the games?

  7. Chris says:

I can understand having grown up terribly PC how that last one in particular sounds racist, however, can you answer the question? What have non-whites contributed to modern civilization? Is the list extensive?

Tina, I’ve avoided using this word since I’ve been back, but there’s no getting around it: if you can’t answer this question yourself, it’s because your beliefs are racist. That isn’t “PC.” It’s reality.

  8. Chris says:

And now we find out that Scaramucci leaked to Politico that he was gonna fire Short before he did it, then complained about the leak to Politico and said it was unfair that they knew before Short did:

    https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/policy-and-politics/2017/7/25/16026902/anthony-scaramucci-michael-short-fired-leaks

How does Trump even find this many incompetent jerks to work for him? It’s really quite something.
