Sessions: Second Special Council Unnecessary – Investigations Well Underway – Prosecutor in Place

Posted by Tina

AG Jeff Sessions sent a letter to Congress informing them that a second special council is not needed because the investigative work has already been accomplished by IG Michael Horowitz. A federal prosecutor from Utah, Obama appointed U.S. Attorney John Huber, will be available to handle prosecutions. Reports on investigations will be released starting in April…apparently there are four areas of concern:

Horowitz has assembled all of the information for his report but the scope of the report is so exhaustive it will most likely be released in segments according to the subject material and the myriad of issues involved.

The first section of the IG report, encompassing the DOJ/FBI political activity -specifically surrounding leaks to the media and fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe- will likely come out first in April.

The McCabe release should be followed by a release of the IG findings on the topic of FBI and DOJ conduct, and the politicization therein, within the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

The issues with the DOJ/FBI representations to the FISA Court, the October 21st DOJ/FBI application therein and other issues, will flow thereafter; there may be sub-chapter reports released supplemental to the FISA investigation surrounding Christopher Steele, Fusion-GPS and/or the private contractors and abuse of FBI and DOJ databases. (more)

Horowitz is releasing an investigative report on his review of “phase #1” very soon. This is the Clinton email investigation, the pre-planned exoneration, the media leaks, and the political corruption to attain the objectives therein.

A special prosecutor could still be appointed but since the investigative work has already been done appointing one at this time would be unnecessarily costly. Stay tuned, we may have fireworks even before the Fourth of July!

An aside: “Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit has died, a court spokesperson confirmed Thursday. He was 87.

Trump will replace this very liberal Carter appointed judge. Ahhhh…so good, so good.

I want a special council filled with all republican donors to investigate Mueller and his special council. But, I ‘ll wait and see what the IG’s report has to say, for now.

There’s already proven facts the Obama administration and Hillary committed crimes. It won’t be like Mueller’s council having hunt down a crime that is connected to Trump and the Russians and isn’t took place by a campaign volunteer or worker 10 years ago.

Peggy if my understanding is correct we don’t know the half of what they’ve found, although there has been incredible evidence thus far that’s been revealed.

It’s pretty clear that Trump is exonerated of collusion with the Russians after several investigations, including a year or more of Mueller, have found nothing. His costly investigation should terminate, preferably by him, in particular given the discoveries of abuse and impropriety even by those on his team.

I have a feeling that the panic and attack mode that’s been rife on the left government elite is a result of Hillary losing more than Trump winning. The left needed a Hillary win so their tracks would be covered and their crimes hidden.

It’s going to be an interesting summer.

Peggy you would enjoy, “President Trump Should Play Hardball With Robert Mueller,” by George Parry over at The Federalist:

given the toxic, highly partisan atmosphere in Washington, Mueller’s glaring ethical shortcomings, and the Hillary Clinton sycophants who comprise his staff, it is irrelevant whether Trump is innocent.

Based on the declassified House intelligence committee Republicans’ memo and the Senate Judiciary Committee’s referral to the Justice Department of British spy Christopher Steele for possibly lying to the FBI, it appears that the hierarchies of Comey’s FBI and President Obama’s Justice Department conspired to save Clinton’s candidacy by running a fake investigation of her unsecure private email server and conducting illegal electronic surveillance of the Trump campaign. If Trump somehow managed to win the election, their backup objective was to take him down and end his presidency.

All of this raises the question of the true purpose of Mueller’s investigation. Is it an honest search for the truth or a continuation of the anti-Trump plot hatched during the campaign?

Parry in a somewhat related article in the Spectator reminds us that the roads actually lead to Clinton and the DNC:

On June 15, 2016, CrowdStrike, a private computer security company working for the Democratic National Committee, announced that it had detected Russian malware on the DNC’s computer server. The next day, a self-described Romanian hacker, Guccifer 2.0, claimed he was a WikiLeaks source and had hacked the DNC’s server. He then posted online DNC computer files that contained metadata that indicated Russian involvement in the hack.

On July 22, 2016, just days before the Democratic National Convention, WikiLeaks published approximately 20,000 DNC emails.

Much to the embarrassment of Hillary Clinton, the released files showed that the DNC had secretly collaborated with her campaign to promote her candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination over that of Bernie Sanders. This caused the Clinton campaign serious political damage at the Democratic convention.

Well after the convention, Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s public relations chief, said in a March 2017 Washington Post essay that she worked assiduously during the nominating convention to “get the press to focus on… the prospect that Russia had not only hacked and stolen emails from the DNC, but that it had done so to help Donald Trump and hurt Hillary.”

We now know that at about the same time that WikiLeaks made its announcement, the DNC and the Clinton campaign were funding efforts by Fusion GPS and its hireling, former British spy Christopher Steele, to dredge up anti-Trump dirt purportedly from Russian sources.

    Fireworks, I tell ya! Fireworks!

Unless Sessions is doing a comprehensive investigation behind the screen he needs to step up and do his job. According to Mark Levin he recused himself from the Trump/Russian collusion (which is not a crime) ONLY. Allowing Rosenstein to grant Mueller constant expansions to his investigation to chase down rabbit holes going back decades must stop. Sessions needs to begin the approval of Mueller’s request when not Russian related.

Levin and others are pointing out what we’ve learned so far is just the tip of the iceberg. What the he77 was Samantha Powell doing unmasking over 300 US citizens for during her last months? She was the UN ambassador for the head of the FBI or the NSA. And what the heck was that IT guy doing that Miss DWS hired who hacked into most of congress members computers? What’s the real story on him and why was she paying him? Hush money?

Levin’s epic outline of Obama “spying” on Trump should be engraved on Mueller’s and Session’s eyeballs and used by Trump in any lawsuit that’s presented.

Mark Levin outlines ‘evidence’ in President Donald J Trump wiretapping claims:

I’m sure it will be should the occasion arise, which is doubtful!

Turley and Dershowitz have become one of my favorite sources of real information. Thankful also for both of them clarifying the difference between what a Liberal is vs. a Progressive. We can believe what Liberals say even though they may differ in opinions and nothing of what Progressives say with the Alinsky agenda of the end justifies the means. Hillary was/is a Progressive.

Dershowitz on Alleged Trump Collusion: Robert Mueller ‘Inventing a Crime’:

“Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz reacted to reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating President Donald Trump for possible collusion, but does not consider Trump a criminal target in the probe.

Dershowitz, a longtime Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, said Mueller would be “inventing a crime” to charge Trump in that case.

“There’s no such crime as ‘collusion’ in the federal statute,” he said.”

      • Tina says:

The entire probe is discredited from the start. The law requires evidence of a crime, not speculation of a crime, before a FISA warrant can (should be) issued.

Peggy I agree both Dershowitz and Turley have conducted themselves with honor, remaining nonpolitical, in their observations and pursuit of the truth. Great Americans both! I expect nothing more from the opposition, unfortunately the opposition party has moved radically left where the Saul Alinsky wing resides. All they do is play games, lie, and agitate.

“Trump will replace this very liberal Carter appointed judge.”

… with yet another “Fox & Friends” find, no doubt … who then gets impeached for some corruption or other. It’s getting to be downright tedious.
