Mexico Elections vs “The Resistance”

Posted by Tina

Mexico will have it’s election on Sunday. Widespread corruption is expected, a blot on the validity of the election process. But that isn’t all that’s going on in Mexico and what’s going on is quite disturbing given our close proximity and the resistance movement in this country to President Trump and border security:

534 politicians have been attacked since campaigning began in September and 130 politicians have been killed.

More than 20,500 homicides have also been reported since the beginning of the year, with May coming in as the deadliest month with 4,381 murders.

Reporters without Borders and its Mexican partner, Propuesta Cívica, said that at least 45 journalists have complained to authorities about physical attacks, which were recorded between January and May.

…Mexico is still one of the most dangerous countries in the world for the press. In 2017, 11 journalists were killed for direct connection to their activities. So far this year, we’ve had five cases of journalists killed in the country

…Dead people voting, vote-buying, theft or burning of ballots, threats of violence, rigged counting, particularly in remote areas – over the years it’s all been seen.

These are lousy political/social statistics…yet another reason for adopting strong immigration policy and securing our southern border here in the U.S.

Unfortunately, we are not aligned as a nation. The Democrat Party does not share President Trumps vision for a secure, civil, and safe America. The Democrat Party is a party of self-proclaimed resistance, resistance to the duly elected administration, resistance to law and order, and resistance to our sovereignty as a nation. Even within the government itself there is evidence of party resistance in the Mueller probe and in the corruption of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server prior to the election and after.

The shooting of Republican congressmen at a baseball practice was one lone man’s crusade of resistance. Murders of police officers is another.

It seems the Democrat Party and it’s faithful will stoop to any low in order to achieve victory over the wishes of the people in the last election. Intimidation and harassment, threats and veiled threats, and calls for personal attacks have already been used with promises of even more as we head toward November. Celebrities have publicly fantasized about bombing the White House, beheading the president, or assassinating the president. The President’s family and staff have been targeted and demeaned in the most crude and disgusting fashion. Some have been legally impacted in what many feel is an official witch hunt form of resistance. A recent fanatic has promised “there will be bombs” and all the while the faithful continue to cheer and characterize the Republicans as “Nazis.”

The Democrat party is just a few murders short of diving into full blown chaos and anarchy.

How different are the Democrat Party’s methods to those of the corrupt and violent elements in Mexico? Not much. Not when you consider the lengths they will go to for open borders and a never ending stream of the poor and uneducated crossing into America. Not much when you consider the gangs and criminals that are given sanctuary after crossing freely into the country. If they resist law and order, if they resist due process, if they resist election results, they resist everything that makes America a safe space.

Build the wall? No…they resist that.

Support border agents? No..they want border agents to act as baby sitters and mentors. They want ICE eliminated!

End Sanctuary cities? No…they choose coddling criminals over respecting the law and keeping their citizens safe.

America is a special place. Americans have a clear choice in November…preserve our nation or sink into the deadly violence and corruption that characterizes the nation just south of us by going with the Democrats now and in November.

June 20, 2018, The Hill, “Dem lawmakers join nationwide protests against Trump immigration policies”

Various Democratic lawmakers joined tens of thousands of protesters at rallies across the country on Saturday to protest the Trump administration’s separation of migrant children from their parents for detention.

Immigration and civil rights activists descended on downtown Washington, D.C., for a main rally on Saturday while more than 700 “sister” rallies occurred in cities and towns around the U.S. and in several cities around the world, according to organizers and social media posts.

Do these protesters even know that the same thing was done during previous administrations?

    No?

Media falls down on the job again. Grade F for failure or P for phony, it’s likely both apply.

“The Democrat party is just a few murders short of diving into full blown chaos and anarchy.”

You’re the one who’s come unhinged. I mean, exactly which facts do you base this statement upon? Do you really think that the fact that one of our many “lone gunman”
was a Dem supports this statement? You’s nuts.

See if you can get through this:

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2017/08/18/president-trump-wants-facts-right-wing-extremism-here-they-are-erroll-southers-column/577308001/

The big competition in the violent anarchy departement is between right-wingers and islamists. Us sad little Dems don’t even rank. And as to the next election, a guy named Jeffery Sachs has let fly with a bit of commentary I can get into:

(CNN) The federal government’s top ethics official has asked the Environmental Protection Agency to take “appropriate actions to address any violations” rising from the behavior of the agency’s administrator, Scott Pruitt. These include a $50 a night room rental agreement with a lobbyist whose husband’s firm lobbies the EPA, salary raises Pruitt gave to favored aides and other employees, frequent taxpayer-funded trips back home to Oklahoma — with security entourage — and reports in The New York Times that Pruitt took punitive action against agency staff after they raised concerns about his actions.

The puzzle here is not how Scott Pruitt could attempt to get away with these things; it is why America’s days are filled with dealing with “public servants” like Pruitt — and, of course, Donald Trump, for that matter. They are cheaters, self-dealers, corner-cutters, and liars for personal or professional gain. Why does our political system fail so badly to screen them out? Why, in short, does the swamp spread so relentlessly?

The answer, of course, is that the Pruitts, the Trumps (and the Tom Prices and on and on) are people who serve interests far more powerful and nefarious than they are. Big money has taken over the political system, and hired people like Pruitt to run it on their behalf. And the big money will triumph as long as the young, the poor, and working class do not register and vote in far greater numbers. That is why our democracy depends so urgently on voters — in the upcoming elections and again in 2020 — beating back the billionaires who manipulate our politics for their own gain.

The current state of our politics would be risible if the stakes were not so terrifyingly high. Pruitt has made a career of trying to gut any and all environmental protection. Trump is an unprincipled hothead real estate developer and reality TV persona who lost all access to serious capital long ago and so has largely relied on foreign money to keep afloat, as even his sons have reportedly affirmed.

Yet Pruitt is now in charge of dismantling every barrier between us and environmental ruin, and Trump has the nuclear codes that could end life on the planet. They both work for larger financial interests. Our country today, and indeed much of the world, is run by and for billionaires actively manipulating the political process. They have the means, power, influence and muscle to get their way. Trump was elected with the backing of several, including Sheldon Adelson, Carl Icahn, Robert Mercer, John Paulson, T. Boone Pickens and Peter Thiel. And Trump has delivered for them, most importantly by signing into law last December a budget-busting $1.5 trillion tax cut that largely benefits the rich. Scott Pruitt was backed for his post as EPA administrator by the titans of Big Oil, including billionaires David Koch and Charles Koch, and Pruitt’s backer for years, Harold Hamm, chief executive of Continental Resources, an Oklahoma oil and gas company. In return, Pruitt has been systematically attempting to gut every regulatory limit on greenhouse gas emissions and leading the effort to pull the United States out of the Paris Agreement (making the United Stats the only country out of 193 to declare the intention to withdraw).

The United States is not alone in this big-money corruption but perhaps has become its world leader. Democracy around the world is being undermined not by a working-class backlash or resurgent nationalism but by money, a lot of it. With the world’s politics awash in money, several world leaders are currently charged with corruption, most recently France’s Nicolas Sarkozy, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, and South Africa’s Jacob Zuma, with two more recently convicted: Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and South Korea’s Park Geun-Hye.

In 2010, the Supreme Court, in its ineffable wisdom, declared that corporations could spend unlimited amounts of money to influence elections — that their contributions were free speech and thus beyond limitation. What could possibly go wrong?
Even now, all is not lost. The rich may have the money but the people still have the votes. Yet time is short. November is our best hope to reclaim our democracy from the likes of Pruitt and Trump.

Facts can be so bothersome to people who lie. “Republicans received more than 50% of the donations from only nine of the 30 companies, most of which tend to be grouped toward the bottom.”

This Graph Shows Which Political Party Corporate America Loves the Most:
      (Must see graph)

“We took the 30 most politically active companies on the Fortune 500 and ranked them in order of their campaign contributions over the last ten years. The bars represent the total contributions ($M) given to candidates in each party. We added the total figures and the percentage breakdown for Democrats and Republicans for easy reference. Several fascinating trends immediately jump out from our visual.

First off, there’s a lot more blue than red on the graph, indicating that Democrats rake in most of the political cash from corporate America. Keep in mind that these contributions are coming from employees who work at these companies, not the corporations themselves. It’s actually illegal for corporations to make contributions directly to candidates. Republicans received more than 50% of the donations from only nine of the 30 companies, most of which tend to be grouped toward the bottom. Additionally, almost all of the bars include a tiny sliver of green, representing contributions to independent candidates. These contributions are there but they definitely don’t amount to much overall. Ultimately, it is fair to say that employees of these big companies have spent the bulk of their political cash on Democrats over the last decade.

Let’s take a closer look at the top of the list. Financial institutions dominate the marketplace for political donations, making up six of the top ten companies. Goldman Sachs is in first place by a long shot, shoveling $11.5M to members of both parties. The bank’s money is split almost evenly across the aisle—possibly showing an effort to hedge against whichever party controls the levers of power. Charles Schwab provides an interesting contrast with Goldman in that the discount broker spends almost 70% of its political donations on Democrats. Microsoft and Apple also crack the top ten, but both companies clearly favor Democrats a lot more than Republicans, pumping 80% and 88%, respectively, of their political money into candidates on the left.”

“Pruitt has made a career of trying to gut any and all environmental protection. ”

The Weekly Standard, “An Inconvenient Truth: Greenhouse Gas Emissions Are Falling Under Trump”

In the United States, where President Trump has promised to unshackle the coal industry and to abandon an international climate change treaty, greenhouse-gas emissions fell last year and are expected to continue falling.

In Europe, where political leaders consider climate change an urgent priority, emissions rose last year.

In the United States, a report released last week by the Rhodium Group says that even though Trump “continues to unravel Obama-era climate and clean energy policies,” falling costs of renewable energy and natural gas are “keeping U.S. greenhouse gas emissions on the downswing.”

The latest government data show emissions have fallen 12 percent from 2005 to 2016. The Rhodium Group report estimates that by 2020, emissions will have fallen between 15 percent and 17 percent compared with 2005 levels.

Private-sector data is also lending support to the view that American emissions are still falling. An estimate by BP, released last month, shows U.S. carbon dioxide emissions in 2017 fell by 42 million tons compared with the previous year—a bigger drop than any other country—equaling a reduction of 0.5 percent in the first year of the Trump presidency.

The left is in scare monger mode. Can’t trust a thing they say.

Libby, just breathe…none of us is interested in dirty air or water.

    “terrifyingly high stakes?

I’m still waiting for the big freeze that should have killed is back in the early nineties…or the collapse and ruination of half the rain forest in SA, or the rising seas that would swamp NY. You people have been terrorizing the public with terrifyingly false stories about the environment for several decades. Every prediction has been shown to be bunk.

You lefties lie and the people know it.

You attack anyone that can show you you’re wrong on an issue and the people see it.

You offer nothing of value and people can see you have nothing to offer.

Pruitt is using a common sense approach to the environment and the people see that too. Strangling the economy with unreasonable regulation in America WILL NOT help the environment. Innovation and new technology will…the people aren’t dumb, they just need accurate information after years of your offensive fake green agenda..

The Democrat Party and socialist powers around the world are awash with dirty, bloody lucre and corruption…don’t try to pretend otherwise.

Of course you will see corruption in leaders you oppose. The question is, are you lying again? Most who have observed the lefts tactics would agree that, yes, you are lying…again!

The people have spoken for now. They want Trump and Pruitt. The way your party is going postal it may be a long time before you have someone in the WH. Sit down, suck it up…and quit lying for heaven’s sake.

More good news democrats aren’t going to like.

Supreme Court Says Foreign Nationals Have No Due Process Rights Here:

“Contrary to what the liberal media and open-borders advocates say, immigrants are not owed same constitutional protections as regular Americans.

Illegal aliens are entitled to considerably less immigration due process than their advocates would have us believe.

And the Supreme Court has been remarkably consistent on this point over the years:

It is not within the province of the courts to order the admission of foreigners who have no formal, legal connection to the United States. “As to such persons, the decisions of executive or administrative officers, acting within powers expressly conferred by Congress, are due process of law.” (Murray’s Lessee v. Hoboken Land and Improvement Co.; Hilton v. Merritt)

“It is an accepted maxim of international law that every sovereign nation has the power, as inherent in sovereignty and essential to self-preservation, to forbid the entrance of foreigners within its dominions or to admit them only in such cases and upon such conditions as it may see fit to prescribe.” (Ekiu v. United States)

The United States need only provide an aliens with a judicial trial when charging them with a crime and seeking a punitive sentence. (Wong Wing v. United States)

“Whatever the rule may be concerning deportation of persons who have gained entry into the United States, it is not within the province of any court, unless expressly authorized by law, to review the determination of the political branch of the Government to exclude a given alien.” (Knauff v. Shaughnessy)

Unadmitted, nonresident aliens have no right of entry to the United States as nonimmigrants, or otherwise. (Kleindienst v. Mandel)

What does this all mean? That foreign nationals outside our borders are not owed any due process whatsoever. The United States may exclude them at will. It also means that illegal aliens apprehended within the United States are entitled only to such due process as Congress accords them.

Congress could act to streamline their removal, and provide the type of no-hearing framework that the president has suggested. it has already done so, in fact, for certain classes of aliens:

Using a process called administrative removal, the government may, without any hearing, remove illegal aliens who have been convicted of an aggravated felony.

Similarly, aliens found inadmissible to the United States upon arriving at the border may be repatriated without a hearing, employing a process called expedited removal.

Aliens who re-enter the U.S. after having been previously deported may also be removed without a hearing, utilizing a process called reinstatement of removal.

What about all of those asylum applications that illegal aliens supposedly have a “right” to file? As the Supreme Court made clear in INS v. Cardoza Fonseca, asylum is a discretionary form of relief. The United States is not obligated to grant asylum to anyone, even those who clearly qualify for it. Therefore, Congress could pass legislation prohibiting those unlawfully present in the U.S. from filing asylum applications.”
