EPA Chief Resigns

by Jack

Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt resigned from his position, President Donald Trump announced Thursday.

In a pair of tweets, Trump said that Pruitt had offered his resignation and that the president had accepted. “I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this,” Trump tweeted.

Every since Pruitt installed his foolish cone of silence for making secure phone calls, I’ve wondered if he should be in that position? Then we have the travel expenses and extra security because of Pruitt, the man doesn’t get it. That did it for me. He needs to do something else, go some place where he can’t blunder on the taxpayer’s dollar. Good-bye Mr. Pruitt, you won’t be missed.

    Whoopeeeeeeeeeee!

Chris Cillizza is very funny about why it took so long:

“Pruitt is brash and unapologetic about his views and his conduct. And in both Oklahoma and Washington, that willingness to speak his mind made establishment types very nervous. And once Pruitt was in Washington, he was the focus of a seemingly endless stream of negative news coverage, which he insisted was false and driven by liberals who wanted him to fail. Sound like anyone else you know?”

    • Libby says:

      P. S.: Can you believe that jackass, our President, playing “The Big Reveal” with his Supreme Court nominee? He seems to think he’s still working his reality-TV gig. This is sooooooo humiliating.

      • Tina says:

Sure, given the circus in the streets. He can’t let them grab all the headlines.

The Jackasses are those screaming in the streets and those in your party egging them on.

  2. Tina says:

As far as I can tell the so-called scandals amount to unfounded or sensationalized accusations by the usual suspects (CNN, Bloomburg, ABC, The Atlantic) with very little basis in fact. The man has certainly done no worse than others in DC (either party) who still keep their jobs.

Pruitt has been targeted and physically threatened: “We have at least four times — four to five times the number of threats against Mr. Pruitt than we had against Ms. McCarthy” – Assistant Inspector General Patrick Sullivan.

Not content simply to write, one critic showed up in person. An EPA sentry stopped him. “During the confrontation, the subject was able to acquire the security officer’s duty weapon and discharge a round into a nearby chair.” The guard disarmed the visitor, who later was indicted for assaulting a federal officer/employee.

His family is being harassed on Facebook and other media.

Pruitts critics include: Environmental Defense Fund, Sierra Club, and other radical green activists:

Under Obama, the EPA and the Sierra Club might as well have shared offices. EPA staffers would routinely hatch plots to cripple business in the name of this or that “scientific” scam. Al Armendariz, one of Obama’s regional EPA administrators, let the cat out of the bag in 2010 when he admitted that the agency regulated businesses with arbitrary severity. He bragged about this bullying regulation in a speech, likening the EPA’s regulatory regime to that of brutal Roman despots: “I was in a meeting once and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting, but I’ll go ahead and tell you what I said. It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw and they’d crucify them. Then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.”

Armendariz quit after these remarks triggered a backlash. But he soon found employment at the Sierra Club. He became a spearhead of its “Beyond Coal” program. Naturally, he is one of Scott Pruitt’s staunchest critics.

Anyone who works in the Trump administration works da*n hard and gets more done in a single year than others have accomplished in four years. Pruitt is no exception. I’d like to thank him for his service to our country!

Pruits actions at the EPA will save Americans a lot of money that was previously wasted for very little return in terms of a cleaner environment. The EPA under Pruitt has actually begun to clean up contaminated areas again, something that was suspended to some degree under Obama. (Not to mention that incident that polluted the Colorado, Animas, and San Juan rivers.)

According to Scott Pruitt, he left because of how his family was being treated and because he didn’t want to become a media distraction…I an believe it. Radicals on the left are scum!

I doubt if Pruitt’s temporary (?) replacement, Andrew Wheeler, will make Libby or the radical green haters any happier…sore losers that they are.

  3. Peggy says:

The Dems used the same plan of attack on Pruitt that they used on Palin, Trump and any other Republican they don’t agree with. Bombard them with lawsuits and threats to do them and their family physical harm and financially bankrupt them.

They will destroy a person with not a second thought of regret or remorse for their actions. Their goal of the end justifies the means is their sick justification.

Trump is the only one they can’t get to, but they’ll keep on trying with every immoral and illegal act until he leaves office in 2024.

Pruitt did an awesome job, but he blew it by not giving up being a member of the swamp club. Some of the charges against him are petty, but others he deserves the criticism.

    • Libby says:

“They will destroy a person with not a second thought of regret or remorse for their actions. Their goal of the end justifies the means is their sick justification.”

Oh, horsepucky. We, of the resistance, will not relent. And Pruitt was a swamp-dweller of the very highest ilk. Furthermore …

      • Tina says:

        Horsepucky?

        Hardly!

        Daily Torch:

there is a concerted effort to get Scott Pruitt fired. He has been a constant target of the left, but the recent announcement about ending “secret science” in the EPA has sent the radical environmentalists crazy. Who is doing this, and where are they getting the money? … One of the critical groups leading the charge against Mr. Pruitt is the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP). The radical group was founded in 2002 by Eric Schaeffer, a former disgruntled EPA employee. EIP is dedicated to ending the fossil fuel economy. Seems like a typical radical environmental group, until the funding comes to light.

EIP has received over $700,000 from a group known as the Energy Foundation. A 2014 Senate report called the Energy Foundation a “pass through.” It is an organization that receives tens of millions from other charities and foundations to dole out to groups that can do the activist work the donors are not allowed to do. It is one of these main funders of the Energy Foundation that raises eyebrows.

The Sea Change Foundation is a San Francisco based group that has given tens of millions to the Energy Foundation. The Sea Change Foundation gets their money from a variety of funders, but $23 million came from Klein Ltd out of Bermuda. Klein Ltd is interesting because according to a report exploring the link between environmental groups and the Kremlin, “Klein Ltd. Klein Ltd., a corporation that ‘only exists on paper’ and is based out of a Bermuda law firm called Wakefield Quin.”

Wakefield Quin is a law firm tied to Russian oligarchs Leonid Reiman and Mickail Fridman (two close allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin), along with Russian state-owned oil giant Rosneft. Because of Bermuda secrecy laws, this is where the trail of environmental cash ends. This begs the question, are firms connected to Russia funding the radical environmental movement? This would make sense considering the energy policies of Scott Pruitt.

The energy policies of President Trump, enacted by Scott Pruitt, scare radical environmentalists and Russia to death. Russia profits financially and geopolitically when energy prices are high. Oil and gas revenue make up a sizable portion of Russian government revenue and cannot be happy the U.S. is moving towards energy dominance. An energy dominant America, embodied by policies that end the war on coal, and supporting drilling and fracking, do not allow environmentalists get to push unproven unreliable green policies. The USSR was famous for using radical leftists as “useful idiots” in the Cold War, and now it looks like the more things change the more they stay the same.

Clearly, there are no valid claims being levied against Scott Pruitt. The left simply hates him (yes hates, just look at the threats) and will do anything to stop him and push their radical agenda, even if they have taken Russian money in the past to cripple U.S. energy production. The President has already voiced support for Pruitt, and he should continue to do so and ignore these baseless attacks from people that want him to fail.

The author writes that if his detractors wanted him to stop spending money on security they should tell these radicals to stop all of the threats!

One of the biggest complaints was about that expensive privacy communication room.

I’m amazed that conservatives don’t immediately get the justification for it after revelations of corrupt activities by radical left activist agents embedded in the IRS, FBI, Justice, and others. Could any say with certainty that activists were not involved in sabotage against Pruitt at the EPA or would they more likely expect such?

        Horsepucky?

Not at all. Decades long lobbying, using lies, scare tactics and bullying has done great harm all across the world.

Big Green Radicals keeps track of the left radical greens’ activities:

…a group of environmental “activists” vandalized the fifth green at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA … “tearing up the golf course felt justified in many ways… repurposing what was once a beautiful stretch of land into a playground for the privileged is an environmental crime … Just a few years ago, several members of Greenpeace destroyed a UNESCO World Heritage site in Peru before fleeing the country to avoid prosecution.

Destruction of companies and the jobs they provide over specious complaints is common. Globe and Mail:

Greenpeace has been waging a relentless campaign against Resolute Forest Products, the largest forest company in the region and in Canada. (It is the successor company to Abitibi and Bowater.) … Greenpeace has branded Resolute as a “forest destroyer” that is risking a “caribou herd death spiral” and harming the region’s First Nations. It has vigorously lobbied Resolute’s customers – including the world’s biggest book publishers – to boycott its paper and print products.

In America coal and petroleum was the target under Obama. In California higher gas prices, higher registration costs, unreasonable regulations that make our gasoline prices higher work toward the true goal…getting citizens to sacrifice and give up their vehicles. Not content to let the market accomplish this aim they choose to use force. At the same time they waste valuable resources on trains to nowhere that end up costing the taxpayer in terms of updated infrastructure for travel and water.

        Foreign Policy:

According to Peter Neumann, the director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR) and author of Der Terror ist unter uns (“The Terror Is Among Us”), people who become radicalized typically have a “sense of grievance” — sometimes real, sometimes perceived — and a belief that legitimate channels for redress are shut off, inaccessible, or ineffective. There is also usually a social element, in the form of a charismatic preacher or ideology, that spurs people to seek emotional fulfillment through otherwise forbidden methods for redemption. …

… books like Deep Green Resistance — a sort of how-to guide for radical environmentalists — urge abandoning ineffective peaceful routes and hint darkly that industrial sabotage is the only avenue left open. (This is all without even mentioning the broader anti-capitalist movement, of which environmentalism is increasingly a part. At the last G-20 meeting in Hamburg, Germany, 76 police officers were injured in violent clashes with protesters.)

The revelations that the science behind radical beliefs has been rife with phony methods and data has not embarrassed or shamed this angry bunch or made them more reasonable to deal with. They are not interested in facts and are not about to temper their angry, often violent, zealotry.

Libby your denial that these types exist or that your party embraces them to swallow up the votes of emotionally pathetic uninformed greens (you?) shows your own unreasonable bias and unconcern for others.

And your false belief that Republicans are destroyers of the earth is a silly lie.

It is your party that goes to wild legislative extremes, to appease that emotional green voter base, with zero concern for the economical impact and damage to the citizenry extreme regulations cause for mere fractional gain. That’s not just stupid, Libby, it’s insane!

  4. Pie Guevara says:

    Re Lippy’s and Tina’s comments:

Corruption in D.C. and nearly any other political office exists. The only difference between corruption by Rats and Reps ensnared in the act is that Republicans will resign when their ethical corruption is revealed and things look bad and Rats will fight tooth and nail to keep their offices no matter what.

Nevertheless, I join Lippy in her jump for joy as it means an ethically questionable politician has bowed out.

Case in point, no corrupt administrator and no corrupt policy under the Obama administration was ever resigned under a dark cloud of questionable ethics or violation of law. You can name and list them for me, I won’t bother here.

I will never understand the mindset and psychology of people like Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, Eric Holder, etc. and Scott Pruitt. Does it ever occur to at least a part of them that “this might not be a good idea?”

I do understand the mindset and psychology of Lippy. The usual inane, puerile, fallacious, group left-think.

Pruitt implementing Trump policy did a lot of very good things the left (as a matter of group-think lunacy) hates. No one is irreplaceable. I expect Trump will find someone even more effective than Pruitt on policy.

So, go ahead and jump for joy, Lippy. It won’t change anything, least of all the abject corruption and inherent mindlessness of your ilk and heroes.

    • J. Soden says:

Excellent post, Pie. You said it better than I ever could! Well done!

    • Tina says:

“I will never understand the mindset and psychology of people like Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, Eric Holder, etc. and Scott Pruitt.”

Now I’m shocked. You would really put Pruitt in the same list with Hillary, Obama, and Holder?

Wow. It shows how quick some of us are to condemn based on accusations. Pruitt is apparently guilty of corruption (no justification or explanation) just because the left zealots say so.

Excessive costs for travel occurred because of security concerns for his life. The $50 rent was not an ethics problem…it is the going rate for the DC area on a per night basis. Sabotage from within is very likely a legitimate expense given what we know about the left’s internal efforts to blunt Trump’s agenda or impeach him.

Having said all of that I don’t blame the man for leaving the job. No person should have to deal with the hate toward family members much less concerted efforts to sabotage while doing one’s job.

And…I can’t fault my fellow conservatives for wanting to be nonpartisan when it comes to corruption, I share that position.

The radical Democrat activist are scum.

      • Pie Guevara says:

Shocked? Really? I wasn’t grouping them. I just don’t understand the mentality of Pruitt to do what he did (or any of the others). Yes, Pruitt was under heavy attack from left wing scum, but that does not excuse what he did, which was foolish and — frankly — stupid.

He sowed his own destruction. Maybe it is all about arrogance.

        • Tina says:

“…Pruitt was under heavy attack from left wing scum, but that does not excuse what he did, which was foolish and — frankly — stupid.”

Are you referring to the communications room? How do you know the expense wasn’t justified, even necessary?

  5. Peggy says:

This article made my physically ill. Will the corruption exposed by Obama and his administration ever end? This country will be lucky if it survives what they did to destroy it. The drip, drip of the secret deals in the JCPOA coming out is shocking and sickening. God help us survive the worst president in US history.

    • Pie Guevara says:

One of the most corrupt and vile administrations since Andrew Jackson

    • Tina says:

We can only guess about what this will mean, if true.

The thing that gives it some merit is the stuff we already know…secret side deals, the lack of transparency with Congress…the midnight deliveries of cash…and in return, just sketchy promises regarding nukes and inspections. We got zip in the deal so the question becomes, “What else might he have offered them to build a legacy item for himself?”

    • Tina says:

Pie that is good news. Maybe one day free speech and inquiry will be restored at America’s institutions of higher learning.

It’s hard to believe we ever got to this place but as long as we have it’s good to know there is push back.

Another “offensive” absurdity? Action taken against Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House book collection:

The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) says they are stripping Wilder’s name from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award for children’s literature, an award Wilder was the first to receive. The Laura Ingalls Wilder Award will now be known as the Children’s Literature Legacy Award. The ALSC says the award “may no longer be consistent with the intention of the award named for her.”

More likely, the modern radical ALSC is no longer consistent with the original intention of the ALSC.

The group explained: The decision was made in consideration of the fact that Wilder’s legacy, as represented by her body of work, includes expressions of stereotypical attitudes inconsistent with ALSC’s core values of inclusiveness, integrity and respect, and responsiveness.

In other words, the Little House books aren’t politically correct.

      (They’re racist)

      • Pie Guevara says:

Re Tina “It’s hard to believe we ever got to this place”

Brought to you by people who do not understand what free speech means and don’t care. AKA the left.

    • Libby says:

      Bimbs? Probably not.

We’re doing well enough in the courts, for the time being.
The Congress is as moribund as it was during the OA … an amazing circumstance. And then there are the mid-terms to look forward to.

You must gird your loins, as we of the resistance will continue to make hay with every idiotic thing that comes out of The Donald’s mouth, twitter account, whatever.

LOL…my arthritic hands do make life interesting!

“we of the resistance will continue to make hay with every idiotic thing…”

Yes, Trump totally commands and controls resist freaks…keeps you busy.

He seems to be accomplishing a lot while you guys tear your hair and go nuts over words…the people are winning and that’s what counts.

Radical greens want to impose an imagined pristine perfection on the reality today by force…that never works…it can’t work. They are insane. Activists that buy into every new green scare, even when they conflict with previous scares, demonstrates shallow understanding and emotional trust in anything the green activist scientist is hawking. They say it’s “settled science.” Settled on what? Is the earth cooling and we’re all going to die or warming and we;re all going to die?

If you want to put this level of faith behind something a better bet would be those scientists and engineers who work diligently to create solutions for clean water and air. American ‘s have contributed greatly in this area…money well spent!

Libby’s party of hate and destroy those who do not agree with everything they dictate has another target. Jim Jordan is now their latest victim to force out because he’s a member of the Freedom Causes, is demanding congressional over site request of the FBI and DOJ be met and he’s let known he’s interested in being House Speaker.

The party of hate and lies can not let Jordan be speaker, so just like Pruitt they will try to destroy him.

Jordan will be on Special Report today with Bret Baier to address the charges that he knew about the sexual assaults taking place while he was an assistant coach at Ohio State. Jordan denies he knew.

Given the history of the lies and smear tactics of the Hate Party, like they also did with Herman Cain, I’ll assume Jordan is innocent and the Dems are lying again as usual. Liars do what they always do. Lie!

Another good article about the “Walk Away” movement.

Exalted Righteousness, Tawdry Methods Lead to Walk Away
    By Clarice Feldman

“The center left is dying and Matthew Continetti explains why:

This is a trend that has been building for some time but over the last two years acquired galvanic force. Why? Is it because the nature of the threat that Donald Trump represents to the left? Is it because, as Victor Davis Hanson has argued, Trump denied the left the power it considers its due? Or is it because Barack Obama, despite all of his purple rhetoric and fantastic publicity, was unable even to approach his goal of “fundamentally transforming” America — because he left the Democratic Party a smoking ruin, and bequeathed a regulatory and policy legacy as fragile as a paper crane?

All of these explanations for the resurgent left have some merit. I am especially partial, naturally, to the one that pins responsibility on Obama, who raised the hopes of a generation that the waters would cease to rise only to hand over command of the ship eight years later to Donald Trump and become a Netflix producer. Still, it is important to recognize that the collapse of the center-left is not limited to America. It is a global phenomenon. Obama and Clinton may have broken the Democratic Party, but don’t hold them responsible for the destruction of the French Socialists, the fall of the Italian Democratic Party, the takeover of Labor by Jeremy Corbyn, the worst result by the German Social Democratic Party since World War II, and the triumph of López-Obrador in Mexico.

If there is a common denominator to these electoral shakeups, it is the politics of migration. The overthrown establishments all benefited from the economics of illegal immigration and used migrants as chits in a humanitarian sweepstakes in which the leader who signals the most virtue wins. Migration became a symbol for the “flat world” of globalization where not just people but also cultures, goods, and investments flowed freely, borders had little meaning, and sovereignty was pooled upwards to transnational bureaucracy as identity was reduced to racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual characteristics. The fantastic wealth produced by the global marketplace enriched the center-left to such a degree that its adherents became walled off from the material, social, and cultural concerns of the working people they professed to represent. And so middle-class workers who believe a country’s leadership ought to be accountable to a country’s citizens went elsewhere — devastating the ranks of the center left and creating a vacuum for the neo-socialists of the twenty-first century.”

    • Peggy says:

More from the above article. Love it!

“Tongue in cheek, Andrew Klaven offers a countermovement to #WalkAway –“the #DescendIntoEmotionalInfantilism and become a Democrat movement with Five Reasons to Shift to the left.”

In sum, like Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein you can treat women very badly while posing as their champion by supporting abortion. You can become the darling of late night comedians. You can be as uncivil as you want to be while virtue signaling. ”You can pretend to like black people while setting up the systems of dependence, family disintegration, and resentment and envy that make it unlikely any black child will ever compete with your child for a good job.” And last, but not least in his reasons to stick to the party: You never have to learn the facts, but can just turn on the TV and hear your ill-formed opinions echoed back at you to justify your marching and screaming.

I don’t think I’ll follow his suggestion. I’m planning on making lots of popcorn in November because I think the party platform of raising taxes, open borders, identity politics, massive redistribution, calls to violence and censorship, increasing regulatory hamstrings on the economy, and supporting corruptocrats in the UN, Iran, and Palestine are the ticket to ride – to defeat.”

  13. Pete says:

This guy can speak for me on this issue:

    From Twitter, Rick Wilson

“Other people are mocking the lame clickservative trope that it was the *coverage* of Pruitt that’s at fault here.

Let Daddy say a few words about why this is such a bad look for you, kids. First, I get it. You’ve abandoned every shred of conservative principles in favor of a statist, nationalist, bullying, shitbird president, so your left clean to the thin reed of – say it with me! – “Duh librul media!” Save some tiny iota of dignity. Do you really believe that the coverage of Pruitt was driven by anything other than actions he took himself? Did the New York Times make him send his minions out seeking hand lotion? Did the Washington Post force him to live with a lobbyist? Was a crack team of CNN mind control operatives responsible for Pruitt hitting up his aides to cover hotel rooms? Who at MSNBC forced him to travel first class, and to demand an army of security dudes more suited to a third world dictator than a Cabinet official? But hey, you got your go-to villain, and I get that you’re all out of other ideas. I am curious if any of you can explain to me when a tolerance for corruption and criminality became a conservative value as long as you’re getting the policy outcomes you want. Bonus points if you can explain it without using the construction of “But Obummer!” or “But Hillary would be worse.”

    • Tina says:

Pete, your smug superior attitude will get you nowhere at Post Scripts.

We have not compromised our principles. We are in a furious battle with a radical left that includes institutions of the media, education, entertainment, and the law as well as Congress and government agencies. If you have any principles at all you will stop lying and covering up for the horrendous corruption in your own political circles before attempting to criticize mine.

“Do you really believe that the coverage of Pruitt was driven by anything other than actions he took himself?”

DC is full of corruption and abuse. I believe that journalists followed a trail they thought could lead to a damaging story because they wanted the man that was cutting unreasonable green regulations, Pruitt, driven from his job. They took what they found, which was not that unusual by DC standards, and sensationalized it.

The problem isn’t that they found a bit of dirt that could inform the public…it’s that they used the information differently because Pruitt is a Republican in charge of the EPA and he was effective.

Before you go off on another tangent let me ask you to be honest.

What did the main stream press (CNN, ABC, Bloomberg, NYT…) have to say about Hillary Clinton resigning following the Benghazi scandal?

By my estimation, and the estimation of many others, they did everything possible to cover for her and help proffer a lie to hide the scandal.

This woman irresponsibly provided less security for Chris Stevens in a dangerous terrorist nation than she provided to the ambassador in Paris France. Over 600 requests for more security from Stevens office were ignored by her and her staff. Planning before, during, and after the anniversary attack was incompetent to the point of criminality…we should have had a plan in place to get those people out safely before we ever sent them over there!

The liberal press was not interested in sniffing out the facts (Nor was the Obama justice department). Instead they covered for her…and continue to do so…because they do journalism by politics and if you haven’t noticed it then you are simply not paying attention.

How about Nancy Pelosi, who was flying back and forth to SF on the taxpayers dime:

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained new documents from the United States Air Force detailing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s repeated use of United States Air Force aircraft. According to the documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Pelosi used Air Force aircraft on 85 flights from March 2009 through June 2010. Members of Pelosi’s family were guests on at least two flights.

Among the highlights from the documents, obtained pursuant to a FOIA request filed on January 25, 2009:

Pelosi used the Air Force aircraft for a total of 85 trips, covering 206,264 miles, from March 2, 2009 through June 7, 2010. Pelosi, her guests and Air Force personnel logged a total of 428.6 hours on these flights.

Members of Pelosi’s family were guests on at least two flights. On June 20, 2009, Speaker Pelosi’s daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons joined a flight from Andrews Air Force Base to San Francisco International Air Port. That flight included $143 in on-flight expenses for food and other items. On July 2, 2010, Pelosi took her grandson on a flight from Andrews Air Force Base to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, which is northeast of San Francisco.

According to previous documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol. For example, purchases for one Pelosi-led congressional delegation traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.

Is the press exposing her corruption or leading the call to remove her from office?

      No…no sir they are not!

Do you think it’s remotely possible that Nancy Pelosi or Maxine Waters or Sheila Jackson Lee have sent staff out to make personal purchases for them?

I think it’s highly likely, and the press does not give it a thought much less demand a resignation:

According to accounts from former staffers, Jackson-Lee would berate staffers, calling them names like “You Stupid Motherf***er.”

Those former staffers claim she was physically abusive, threw cell phones at staff and demanded unsafe driving while being chauffeured, which allegedly resulted in at least one car accident. She would reportedly demand staffers go to the market and buy garlic supplements for her at 2AM and would be furious with them if her demands were not met.

Until the media begins to cover politicians with an even hand the right will continue to call out unequal treatment and work to correct the record.

I personally refuse to be concerned over your outrage until lefties begin to hold their own accountable, and that includes the very unprofessional left media! Your party has an outrageously long history of corruption that has never been exposed by media or properly dealt with.

These conditions have got to end or we will permanently lose all semblance of liberty and equal protection. Maybe you don’t value those things but I do!

      • Pete says:

My opinion is neither smug or superior. I am just a simple conservative that recognizes a bad apple when I see it no matter the party affiliation. I happen to agree with Mr. Wilson on this issue; That Mr. Pruitt created his problems. Do you really think calling me, another conservative, names helps? Let’s please agree to hold all politicians and their appointees to the highest of ethical standards.

        • Tina says:

Pete, you indicated that the person quoted in the tweet, “spoke for you.” Since the tweet began, “Let Daddy say a few words about why this is such a bad look for you, kids,” I assumed you were cheering his attitude as well as his thoughts.

It’s quite noble of you to recognize “a bad apple” regardless his “party affiliation.” I appreciate your hope that we Americans will come to “hold all politicians and their appointees to the highest of ethical standards.” I believe that is one of the long term goals of this administration.

Clearly a third to half of the population has not been holding all to a high standard. In fact they have done everything possible to tip the scale so that some are protected regardless unethical behaviors while others are destroyed over much lesser infractions. This is how we’ve come to a government with high levels of corruption on a broad scale.

The American people elected a rough speaking leader who cannot be rolled by the usual tactics of the radical left wingers. There is great purpose in the choice. If Trump were to immediately fore everyone accused of unethical behavior there wouldn’t be anyone left to appoint. Making accusations against all republicans is sport for the opposition. In Trump they are even more vitriolic because he exposed their hypocrisy and lies.

By degree Pruitt’s offenses were nothing compared to offenses that have been swept away, marginalized and excused. The fact that Hillary Clinton, with all of the accusations leveled against her, was not only protected from legal trouble, but then put up as the standard bearer for her party, indicates a deep unethical approach to governance by leadership in that party.

Donald Trump is rough around the edges but he is effective and, you might have noticed, those accused do not remain…they leave, guilty or not. He has implemented the conservative policies that got him elected. He has done what he said he would do more than any president before him in recent history. So I’d like to know just how DT has earned the label: “shitbird president” who has “abandoned every shred of conservative principles”

As for the rest of this radical’s evaluation, that Trump is a “statist, nationalist, bully,” lets first be clear about terms.

Statist: an advocate of a political system in which the state has substantial centralized control over social and economic affairs.

Trump is for a much smaller federal footprint with power residing in the citizens.

nationalist: a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.

Trump is a patriotic American and as president he fights and negotiates internationally in the best interest of the American people. That does not mean he works to “the exclusion or detriment” of other nations. On trade for instance the long game is no tariffs so that every nation benefits from true free trade practices. In NK, his position is a nuclear free zone and improved conditions for the region and the world.

bully: a person who habitually seeks to harm or intimidate those whom they perceive as vulnerable.

Trump plays hard ball. He defends and counter punches in the political arena against those who unfairly, in his estimation, bully those around him. He hits back in like kind. None who target him or members of his administration are vulnerable…they are playing hard ball in a most offensive way since the facts are often absent and the truth never pursued.

Many of us don’t believe we can afford to elect and appoint well spoken, polite, cooperative people at this critical time in our history. We believe our nations was about to be steamrolled by hard charging radical corrupt socialists in the last election and we took a stand by electing someone who would fight for a more principled society and government.

Trump is delivering in that fight. His call for law and order and his defense of our borders are just two of the ways he demonstrates higher principles…at least if you love the American that was founded on the Constitution backed by the rule of law.

    Trump and Media:

“In the Trump era, there’s been a lot of worthy, aggressive journalism probing every facet of his administration and its alleged missteps. But there’s also been a series of mistakes and fact errors by top news organizations, which may itself be historic in nature. Earlier this year, the President named what he sees as top offenders in his Fake News awards. Some of his examples tracked with ones we, too, identified while researching this report on what we think is one of the biggest stories of Trump’s Year One.

It’s perhaps the biggest media miss of President Trump Year One.”
