Biggoted SPLC “Hate List” Influences Financial Blacklisting of Donations – David Horowitz Freedom Center

Posted by Tina

Democrat and socialist activists are blatantly engaging in the most biggoted attacks we’ve witnessed since the days of the Jim Crow South. First amendment rights are being attacked and squelched through false labeling, intimidation, and lies. The latest example involves the Southern Poverty Law Center’s inclusion of David Horowitz’s Freedom Center in it’s so-called list of hate groups. Costco’s sponsored Mastercard and Citi Visa cards have allegedly been cutting off donation payments by cardholders to the think tank. Breitbart reports from Mr. Horowitz:

We have been attacked by the left wing hate machine whose goal is to suppress and silence conservative voices. This is the work of a Soros funded Media Matters and Southern Poverty Law Center operation. It’s cynical, calculated and supported by the Democratic Party. The reason Mastercard and Visa gave us for cutting us off and thus sabotaging our online fund-raising operation is that the SPLC told them that we were a hate group. It is wrong to focus on the Tech heads as the culprits because as businessmen they have a vested interest in keeping their platforms politically neutral. They have been threatened by Senator Mark Warner and other Democrats if they don’t censor conservatives. The fact that Mastercard and Visa are now part of this juggernaut indicates how dangerous this has become.

Mastercard did not respond to Breitbart’s request for comment but Visa did:

After the publishing of this story, Visa replied to Breitbart News’ request for comment, denying any involvement in cutting off the Freedom Center from payment processing. In fact, Visa claims to have not been aware of the Freedom Center’s financial blacklisting before this article.

At this point it’s difficult to tell what exactly is going on. Mastercards silence suggests corporate involvement…at Visa it could be a few activists on the payroll.

There have been too many examples of Democrat activist efforts to silence their opponents through devious means on platforms like Facebook and Twitter to say this isn’t a serious threat no matter how it’s happening.

J. Soden, who alerted me to this story, had this to say:

Just got off the phone to Costco’s Citi VISA expressing my extreme disapproval, although I was able to refrain from using unacceptable language. I thought it, though!

Contacting Costco will be next. Suggest others do the same.

Good advice. If we remain silent in the face of such vile oppression we’ll have no one to blame but ourselves when tyrants again take over and fundamentally transform America into a one party socialist nightmare. Yes, that statement is “hyperbolic,” Libby. It’s also fitting given the anti-American behaviors of your party’s activists. Your party’s platforms will demolish the progress we’ve made in creating jobs and raising the hopes and dreams of minority individuals and families: Raise taxes, impose Universal Healthcare, impeach President Trump, lax enforcement or open borders (no wall), $15 min wage or living wage, and the restoration of job killing, economy killing, industry killig regulations!

We can’t sit idly by and let them win this serious battle for power…they don’t support equal justice, freedom, free speech or gun rights…and they will continue to bully and silence any opposing voices.

  1. J. Soden says:

    Wow. Thanx, Tina!
Results of both calls were so-so. Neither representative was knowledgeable about the issue, but I expect that changed as more folks called in. I requested that my comments be recorded and submitted to higher authorities.
Oddly enough, Citi sent me a customer survey that I just completed where I could make my point in writing.
And it took 2 days for Drudge to post the story that Breitbart ran . . . . .

  2. J. Soden says:

This just in Sunday morning on Breitbart:

    https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/08/25/david-horowitz-wins-credit-card-donation-showdown-credits-breitbart-drudge/

    Wonder how many other folks called their VISA banks and Costco . . . . . . . . .

I imagine it was enough to cause panic!

This is why the left is frantic to shut us up! They do not respect the First Amendment rights of their fellow Americans, that’s for sure.

  3. Pie Guevara says:

Media Matters and SPLC are of the same crowd. Vile propaganda and character assassination posturing as independent and objective. They think Americans are stupid and they may have a point to this degree —

Americans so stupid as to take Media Matters and the SPLC seriously are stupid. Americans who are part of, fund or are in the employ of these organizations are stupid.

  4. Libby says:

    No retraction? Figures.

    Out in real world:

What a petty little man your man is.

    • Joe says:

McCain was a crook. Remember the Keating 5? Well, he was one of them.

And his complicity in the IRS persecution of the Tea Party was unconscionable.

And there are many other unconscionable acts in his past.

    • Tina says:

U.S. Flag Code states that flags be lowered “on the day of death and the following day for a Member of Congress.” The flags at the White House were lowered over the weekend to mark the death of Sen. John McCain. Flags at the U.S. Capitol remained at half-staff on Monday to honor the Arizona Republican. McCain will lie in state in Arizona and at the US Capitol.

Trump expressed condolences to the family but made no statement on McCain (RIP). This is, in my opinion, a more honest response given McCain’s mixed loyalties and betrayals through the years and his lack of support for the President’s agenda.

      Silence is golden.

CNN has no room to point fingers. Their partisan coverage of Trump has reduced them to a sad bunch of partisan journalistic a$$#o*es.

      • Libby says:

Oh, my … when I posted the comment above, I had not seen the footage of that sad little man, with his short arms crossed over his ample front, and his pissy face on, practicing “golden silence”.

You know, by now, everybody on the freakin’ planet has seen it. Gorby has seen it. Merkel has seen it. Trudeau has had a healthy chuckle over it. And here we are, globally humiliated, yet again.

    • Joe says:

The only reason you libby’erals care about this McCrook issue is so you can take cheap shots at Trump. You fool NO ONE!

      • Tina says:

And let’s not forget, Joe, the way the media turned on their darling Maverick when he was running against the sainted BHO!

They praised him (a useful idiot) when it suited their political agenda. He played into because of his own political ambitions.

        Honesty plays no part.

        • Joe says:

Here’s what McCain said about the Tea Party members’ brave efforts to rein in out of control government spending while he was colluding with Lois Lerner to go after them.

“The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame,” McCain recited with a mocking tone. “Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.”

The fact is McCain was a budget busting big government politician who loathed the people expected to pay for all the spending, including his deals with Keating. That would be YOU, the common taxpayer. He hated you just as much as Hillary does.

And he sent an aide to England to bring back the phony Steele dossier, setting in motion a coup to overthrow our government.

I know a guy who was in naval flight school with him and he said McCain was a real scum bag back.

      • Tina says:

        Amen to that Joe!

The same media that is fawning all over McCain as if they actually liked and admired him viciously attacked him during the campaign of 08…such phony partisan jerks!

    • Tina says:

      Great article, Joe!

The SPLC, once dedicated to righting civil liberties wrongs, has become a radical hate group. Power corrupts.

      • Pie Guevara says:

The SPLC has long been nothing more than politically motivated character assassination tool of the Democratic Party and the radical left for at least 4 decades.

        • Libby says:

Pie, a Klansman is a Klansman.

You want to be a Klansman and run for office, be prepared to defend your indefensible position.

          But don’t snivel “persecution” … it’s pitiful.

          • Tina says:

Your party had the Klansmen, Libby. Your party gave birth to them.

            History.com, “Ku Klux Klan”

Founded in 1866, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for blacks. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and black Republican leaders. Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s. After a period of decline, white Protestant nativist groups revived the Klan in the early 20th century, burning crosses and staging rallies, parades and marches denouncing immigrants, Catholics, Jews, blacks and organized labor. The civil rights movement of the 1960s also saw a surge of Ku Klux Klan activity, including bombings of black schools and churches and violence against black and white activists in the South.

The American Thinker, “The Secret Racist History of the Democratic Party”

By the mid-1860s, the Republican Party’s alliance with blacks had caused a noticeable strain on the Democrats’ struggle for electoral significance in the post-Civil War era. This prompted the Democratic Party in 1866 to develop a new pseudo-secret political action group whose sole purpose was to help gain control of the electorate. The new group was known simply by their initials, KKK (Ku Klux Klan).

This political relationship was nationally solidified shortly thereafter during the 1868 Democratic National Convention when former Civil War General Nathan Bedford Forrest was honored as the KKK’s first Grand Wizard. But don’t bother checking the Democratic National Committee’s website for proof. For many years, even up through the 2012 Presidential Election, the DNC had omitted all related history from 1848 to 1900 from their timeline — half a century worth! Now, for the 2016 election cycle, they’ve scratched even more history. Apparently, they believe it’s easier to just lie and claim to have fought for civil rights for over 200 hundred years, while seeing fit to list only a select few distorted events as exemplary, beginning as late as the 1920s. Incredibly, the DNC conveniently jumps past more than 100 years of American history!

Who are you to cast such aspersions?!!

          • Pie Guevara says:

Lippy, You mean like your hero Rat bastard from hell Robert Byrd? How about Woodrow Wilson? LBJ?

Need I mention Andrew Jackson and your party’s near genocidal treatment of native Americans which Republicans fought against and the Supreme Court ruled against yet was carried out anyway by Jackson?

Don’t get me wrong. I love you Lippy. Keep displaying your stupidity and ignorance in all its glory.

      • Libby says:

I’d be worried, but you really are one pitiful practitioner of “The Big Lie.”

  5. Pie Guevara says:

The funniest thing about Lippy’s comment is that she would have excoriated McCain in these pages had he been elected instead of Obeavis.

Despite McCain’s disdain for his underlings (i.e. the great unwashed voters, some of whom put him in office) Trump’s treatment of him during the race was asinine, unnecessary and stupid.

    • Libby says:

“… he would have excoriated McCain in these pages ….”

      Maybe. Maybe not.

But he picked Palin and shot that all to hell.

And once it all shook out, I’ll bet he was relieved not to have to deal with the consequences of the Crash.

      • Tina says:

Palin was just as good as Obama at speaking to the people and she had MORE executive and foreign relations experience than Obama had by far.

Palin scared the Obama campaign to death, that’s why she was targeted from hour one. She and her family were attacked, hounded, harassed, and bullied by liberals and the press. It was one of the most shameful ongoing character assassinations in the Democrat kill bucket…Justice Clarence Thomas being another.

        Your party is truly disgusting.

McCain would have handled the crash better and wouldn’t have put us through eight years of misery like Obama did!

        • Pie Guevara says:

Yes, the Rats are truly disgusting. Lippy is no exception to the rule.

        • Libby says:

“Palin scared the Obama campaign to death, ….”

Palin was, as she herself would hasten to claim, a gift from God to the Obama campaign.

And if you are interested in some dissing of the dead, McCain’s choice of Palin could only have been made: 1) in ignorance (which reflected poorly on the candidate), or 2) because he thought pretty little Palin would do him more good than Kay Bailey Hutchison, which also reflected poorly on the candidate.

          That was one lose-lose situation.

          • Tina says:

“Palin was, as she herself would hasten to claim, a gift from God to the Obama campaign.”

Gift my butt…your party’s activists interned her in a media concentration camp at her own home and proceeded to pummel her to near death. The toxic and deadly war waged against her by your party and the media can not be described as a gift in any way shape or form. Your party’s plan was to reduce her to ashes!

“if you are interested in some dissing of the dead…”

I’m not. But you go ahead.

      • Pie Guevara says:

My goodness, Lippy hates Palin too! Whowouldathunk?
