Rep. Rashida Tlaib – Spreading Hate in Congress

Congresswoman Tlaib Says She Gets a ‘Calming Feeling’ From the Holocaust…seriously?

Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib: “There’s always kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports.

“And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”

Wow, do we have some dumb voters or what?  How else could this idiot hold office?  She’s welcome to her ignorant pro-Muslim reinventions, but not while representing the United States.   A week doesn’t go by that either her or this other dullard, Ilhan Omar say something divisive or inflammatory about Israel.

The Speaker of the House has acknowledged that their views are often historically inaccurate and they’re offensive.  So, how long will the democrats put up with them before they really slam them hard?

Given that she says multiple times in the portions of this quote you highlighted—and in other parts of the quote that you did not—that the Jews were being “horrifically persecuted” and that it’s a good thing they were given safe haven, I’m not sure where any “hate” or anti-Semitism is supposed to be found in her words. That would explain why even Democrats who rightly condemned Ilhan Omar’s comments a while back are ignoring the manufactured controversy over these.

Meanwhile the president called Netanyahu “your prime minister” to a group of American Jews a month ago, implying dual loyalty in terms far stronger than Ilhan Omar did, and you said nothing. He has a record of statements just as anti-Semitic as anything Omar or Tlaib have said, and you say nothing. Moving beyond that issue, he laughed off a supporter enthusiastically advocating shooting women and children at the border a few days ago, and you say nothing. So until you do say something about these far worse statements, I’m not sure why you think your opinion on what is hateful and divisive is well-supported or fair.
