Interesting Election Talk This Week – Some True, Some Not

by Jack

Elizabeth Ann Warren disclosed she would like to tax unrealized capital gains.  Do you know what those are?  Lets say your stock portfolio increases in value by $5000 in a year.  But, you have not sold your stock, this is just a paper gain.   However, under Warren’s tax plan you would be paying for that unrealized gain!  Yikes!

She’s got to figure out some way to raise taxes in order to pay for all her expensive giveaways, so hang on to your wallet if this one gets elected!

Next, did Trump really slash the budget for the CDC?

Depends on how you look at things.  See, Trump has actually increased the budget of the CDC by about 20B since he took office, but he has also cut  some of their proposed budget increases.   So, in reality Trump only cut a proposed budget, one that they never had.    But, democrats are howling and misinforming how Trump put everyone at risk by recklessly cutting huge chunks from the CDC budget.  Another half truth that is closer to a lie when the whole story is not reported.

Which democrat candidate for president would not derail the stock market, raise your  income tax, damage the healthcare system, raise unemployment, cause inflation and create trillions in new national debt?   Answer:  None of them.

Jack, the last line of your comment says it ALL about the current crop of Demwit clown car candidates.

Just finished Peter Schweizer’s newest book “Profiles in Corruption,” and it’s a must read! Chapter 1 is all about Kamala Harris and Chapter 2 details the entire Biden family – not just Joe and Hunter – history of corruption.

J.S. I know about that book and I wish I had read it. I heard S. Hannity talking about it with the author. Biden is no better than a mobster.

Was really surprised to find out how much chicanery Harris pulled since we had already left Taxifornia when she started flexing her political muscles.
Hardly ever buy those kind of books anymore. I use my tablet to download ebooks from the Phoenix Library – which is where I got Schweizer’s book.
Used to have a Butte County Library card when we lived in Chico, and they had some good ebooks as well.
A free ap called Overdrive is used by 98% of the libraries around the US. Just checked for Butte County Library, but nothing comes up. Further search shows the Overdrive selection for Chico is through something called NorthNet Libary System. You can find it by choosing “Add a Library”, then United States, then your state, and browse down the list ’till you find what you need.
To actually use Overdrive for ebooks or audiobooks, you’ll need to enter your library card number and get a password from the library in order to download. You can place holds, extend checkout, recommend new books and view your checkout history.
The Overdrive people are very helpful as well. Had a tablet stolen with several books on it and the Overdrive folks helped me out to download them again on the new tablet.

Trump has already derailed the stock market with his horrendous handling of the coronavirus, and he has added trillions in new debt.
