Trump and Tweets

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said President Trump should follow Attorney General William Barr’s advice after the top Justice Department official said the president’s tweeting was making it “impossible” to do his job.

“If the Attorney General says it is getting in the way of him doing his job, maybe the president should listen to the Attorney General,” McConnell added, asked if he didn’t like the president’s tweets.

Barr said during an interview with ABC News that he thought it was “time to stop tweeting” about DOJ criminal cases – a rare break with Trump.

“The public statements and tweets … make it impossible to do my job and to assure the courts and the prosecutors in the department that we are doing our work with integrity,” Barr told ABC News.

Barr’s remarks followed days of growing scandal over the Justice Department’s decision to ask for a lesser sentence for Trump associate Roger Stone. The request contradicted an initial seven-to-nine-year recommendation made by frontline federal prosecutors and came after Trump publicly criticized the initial recommendation.”  END

Trump would be infinitely better off if would tweet about 30% less.

Here is an article every taxpayer and voter must read.

It’s bleak reading. California politicians in this one party state have miserably failed the people of this state and it’s fair to conclude that the only alternative is to leave. But whether that’s your conclusion or not, you owe it to yourself to read this article as the article does offer solutions at the local level.

There were some great Tweets to be found on Twitter for Valentine’s Day. They were absolutely hilarious, and here’s a Breitbart story on them all:

Barr’s remarks are all for show, and we can tell because Trump isn’t mad about them. I had hopes that Barr would perform his duties with honor, but he is 100% Trump’s guy and the attorney general no longer represents the position of America’s lawyer, but Trump’s personal lawyer. Barr is all in on using his position to reward Trump’s friends and punish his enemies. Anyone who challenged Trump has either resigned or been fired, and now all he’s got are lickspittles and toadies. This next election is nothing less than a chance to restore our system of checks and balances.

I do believe we need a special council and complete investigation on this.

Source: Democrat Senator Held Secret Meeting In Munich With Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif:
FEBRUARY 17, 2020 By Mollie Hemingway

“Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and other Democratic senators had a secret meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during the Munich Security Conference last week, according to a source briefed by the French delegation to the conference. Murphy’s office did not respond to repeated requests for comment by press time.

Such a meeting would mean Murphy had done the type of secret coordination with foreign leaders to potentially undermine the U.S. government that he accused Trump officials of doing as they prepared for Trump’s administration. In February 2017, Murphy demanded investigations of National Security Advisor Mike Flynn because he had a phone call with his counterpart-to-be in Russia.”
