Worst Predictions for 2019

Posted by Jack, excerpted from Politico

Okay, we know those who report the news or comment in the news, rarely get it right, but check out these pundits, what a bunch of dufus’:

17. “By the end of 2019, the president of the United States will be Nancy Pelosi”

Predicted by: Stephen Kinzer, Boston Globe

16. “The Syria withdrawal probably won’t happen in anything more than a cosmetic sense”

The U.S. withdrawal from Syria in 2019—allowing Turkey to decimate the Kurdish population and Russia to make major advances in the country, including taking over American military installations—marked a more than cosmetic change in Middle East policy.  Damir Marusic, The American Interest

15. Trump will “resign from office before he can be impeached, citing health reasons”

Predicted by: Jon Cooper

Jon Cooper, a Democratic fundraiser and prominent #resistance Twitter personality, is prone to outlandish statements that rack up retweets from his fellow partisans. A particular subgenre of this type of tweet is calling for the resignation of Republican officeholders (retweet if you agree!) and then predicting they will resign. With Trump, Cooper has done both, repeatedly calling for his resignation and predicting that the resignation is coming soon.

14. “Beto O’Rourke will be the next president of the United States”

Predicted by: Lee Drutman (severaltimes) and a great many others

For a time in late 2018 and early 2019, it plausibly looked like Beto O’Rourke was the future of the Democratic Party. CNN’s S.E. Cupp, James Gagliano, Joey Jackson, Scott Jennings, Roxanne Jones, Peniel Joseph, Jen Psaki and Alice Stewart each predicted that he would be leading the polls of Democratic presidential candidates at the end of this year. Less than eight months later, O’Rourke dropped out of the presidential race altogether.

13. Joe Biden won’t run for president

Predicted by: Ari Fleischer

12. House Democrats and Senate Republicans will “secure a number of legislative victories … [and] meet on middle ground”

Predicted by: Orrin Hatch

At the start of 2019, with a new Democratic majority in the House and the Republicans firmly in control of the Senate, retiring Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) saw the possibility of bipartisan compromise on the horizon. The actual story of Congress this year was not one of meeting “on middle ground,” but of party-line triumphs—House Democrats impeaching Trump and Senate Republicans installing ever more conservatives into the federal judiciary. It’s become so routine for legislation that passed in the House to get held up in the Senate that Speaker Nancy Pelosi has dubbed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s chamber “the graveyard.” Bipartisan successes? There were very few.

11. Mueller will “exonerate Trump,” “implicate the Deep State” and “forever legitimize his presidency”

Predicted by: Bill Mitchell

10. Kamala Harris will win the Democratic presidential nomination

Predicted by: Myra Adams, Real Clear Politics

9. “Buttigieg will drop [in the polls] soon, and many of his supporters will migrate to Warren”

Predicted by: Noah Smith

Leading the fourth-largest city in Indiana hasn’t historically been a launching pad for the Oval Office, but in late December, Pete Buttigieg remains at or near the top of the Democratic pack in Iowa and New Hampshire.

8. Trump will nominate Jared Kushner for attorney general

Predicted by: Carl P. Leubsdorf, Dallas Morning News

When Trump went about finding a successor for Attorney General Jeff Sessions, he could have chosen Jared Kushner, a graduate of New York University School of Law whose legal experience largely consists of two internships. Instead, Trump chose former Attorney General Willam Barr.

7. House Democrats will not impeach Trump

Predicted by (among others): Peter Daou, Kai Ryssdal and Stephen L. Carter

That of course was entirely wrong.  Instead the dems have become known as the party of impeachment.   Yes, its true, just find Nancy Pelosi, she carries the impeachment papers around with her stuffed into her purse.

6. House Dems and the Senate GOP will work together to enact immigration reform

Predicted by: Fortune magazine

In its annual “Crystal Ball” forecast for the year ahead, Fortune imagined Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi working together to pass a “farm bill, immigration reform, and an infrastructure bill that President Trump has long wanted to see on his desk.” Immigration reform shows no signs of life, and major investments in infrastructure—despite the ostensible support of both Trump and House Democrats—remain unrealized.

5. Mueller will reveal that Trump’s 2016 campaign received millions of dollars from Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar

Predicted by: Former Rep. John Leboutillier

4. In 2019, there will be a “move toward forcing African-Americans to secure 19th century Black Codes-type passes that they must carry in public”

Predicted by: Dr. Ricky L. Jones, Louisville Courier Journal

It was an alarming, eye-popping prediction from Ricky Jones, a professor at the University of Louisville and a contributor to the Courier Journal: “We will see a move toward forcing African-Americans to secure 19th century Black Codes-type passes that they must carry in public. Any white person would be able to demand the blacks in question produce these IDs to prove they have the right to inhabit certain spaces or engage in pre-approved activities in 2019.” Nothing even hazily resembling the prediction has been entertained. Was Dr. Jones black?  Well, yes, but why would you ask that?  Do you think he’s biased or something?

3. British Prime Minister Theresa May “will see out Brexit and then depart on her own terms and timing”

Predicted by: Nick Williams

British Prime Minister Theresa May announced that she would resign as prime minister in May, after the Brexit plans she negotiated were defeated in Parliament for the third time in as many months. The House of Commons rejected her Brexit plan for a fourth time two days later. She stepped down as prime minister in July and was succeeded by Boris Johnson.

2. Republicans will break ranks with an increasingly erratic Trump

Predicted by: Patti Solis Doyle

At the end of 2018, Patti Solis Doyle, who managed Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, predicted: “Republicans, who have supported the mayhem and chaos up to now, will be looking down the barrel of a 2020 presidential cycle with abysmal numbers with women, suburban voters and independents. They’re going to break.”  Not a single Republican broke…

1. Alabama will be hit by Hurricane Dorian, never mind what the National Weather Service says!

Predicted by: President Donald Trump    Donald, if you want to be a weatherman, take a hint….don’t.  And don’t quit your day job either.

Democrats and the Impeachment Charade

by Jack

The democrats say they are going to ratchet up the impeachment process.  They will be seeking more charges to include in their impeachment papers, an action designed to force the Senate to accommodate the House with trial standards acceptable to them.

They argue there is no reason why Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Speaker,  should not provide rules that the House Speaker can accept as fair.

Nancy Pelosi has said Republican bias is obvious!  She wants is assurances the trial in the Senate will be conducted in an impartial as well as thorough manner before the House submits their findings of impeachment to the Senate.

Americans are all about fairness, so it seems like a reasonable request, until you hear Sen. McConnell’s side.   Remember the last president to get impeached, William Jefferson Clinton?  Did the democrats behave in an unbias way back then?  Was Nancy Pelosi demanding an unbiased and thorough trial then?   How about Sen. Schumer-D from NY, do you think he will be unbiased for Trump?   Can we say any Senate Democrat will be unbiased?

This is why Sen. McConnel says if the democrats really want balance, he will give it to them.  He will treat President Trump just like the democrats treated President Clinton.  Hey… fair is fair, right?

“Well, this is Another Fine Mess You’ve Got Us into Stanley”

by Jack

Was anyone surprised that the democrats finally found a reason to impeach Trump?  No. This has been a charge in search of an offense from the day Trump beat Hillary.

Had there not been such a fevered attempt to reverse that election by any means necessary, the democrats would look a lot more credible now, but the fact is they didn’t and they don’t.  They cried wolf for way, way too long and the charge they bring before the public now is so thin you can see right thru it!

What Trump did was little different than what presidents have done throughout American history and they got away with it totally unscathed.   It was not a big deal.  At the very worst it was a little political arm twisting and it was far milder than what Vice President Biden actually did, extorting Ukraine to remove a prosecutor from a corruption case for the benefit of his son.

The democratic controlled House has cried, what Trump did threatened “national security!”  In a word… pffffft!   Overstating one’s case also undermines credibility.

The dems are looking disturbingly partisan and desperate.  So, at this point in time the democrats ironically find themselves on trial in the court of public opinion and the damage done is perhaps worse than what they hoped to do to Trump.   About the only thing saving the dems from further embarrassment is that the Senate has not been able to weigh in and expose this silliness for what it is.   And that is only because Pelosi is stalling and not  sending the impeachment papers over to the Senate.  I think I would be mulling over not sending this case to the Senate too…. as in….not ever!   First smart thing Nancy has done.

Virginia Proposses Strict Gun Control

by Jack

In case you missed it: Virginia has gone completely Democrat. The last election ushered in a partisan shift of the state government that has left the House of Delegates, the Senate and the governor’s office in Democrats’ power — a leftist hold on the commonwealth that hasn’t been seen for decades.   Could this be the start of something revolutionary?

‘Second Amendment Sanctuary’ Movement Grows in Virginia as Democrats Ready Gun Control Measures

Dozens of counties in Virginia have declared themselves ‘Second Amendment sanctuaries’ ahead of the 2020 legislative session in which Democrats will hold the majority.

Currently VA is mulling over using the National Guard to enforce upcoming gun control laws.  If they do that I guarantee a violent reaction.

Ironically the 2nd amendment had its origins in VA and our revolutionary war and now this state, under the control of liberal democrats, is obsessing over more gun control laws.

Currently in the Senate is SB64…

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 18.2-433.2 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 18.2-433.2. Paramilitary activity prohibited; penalty.

A person shall be is guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity, punishable as a Class 5 felony if he:

1. Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

2. Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

3. Assembles with one or more persons with the intent of intimidating any person or group of persons by drilling, parading, or marching with any firearm, any explosive or incendiary device, or any components or combination thereof.

(CNSNews.com) — A bill being pushed by Democrats in the Virginia legislature would make it a Class 1 misdemeanor to carry, buy, sell, import or transfer firearm magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. House Delegate Kathy Tran (D-Va.) is the primary sponsor of the legislation, and she also supports a ban on semi-automatic rifles, such as the AR-15.

In the November election, Democrats won control over the Virginia House and Senate, which they will assume in January; Ralph Northam, a liberal Democrat, is the governor of Virginia.

The bill, HB2492, would prohibit a person from carrying a gun with a magazine that could hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition in a public space in Virginia; a similar bill has been introduced in the Virginia Senate (SB1748). According to the House bill, the only exception to this rule would be for firearms used by law enforcement officers.

The summary of the proposed law states, “Prohibits any person from importing, selling, bartering, or transferring a firearms magazine designed to hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. A violation is a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Virginia Del. Kathy Tran (D)

Virginia Del. Kathy Tran (D)

Delegate Tran, who was endorsed by the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence, said she is “fighting to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, domestic abusers and those with severe mental illnesses.”

“Tran pushes for universal background checks to close the loopholes for sales of firearms at gun shows and over the Internet, and fights to restore Virginia’s ‘One-Handgun-a-Month’ rule to combat gun-running,” states her official website.

However, pro-gun groups, say measures like this will make citizens less safe, and believe that people in the United States need weapons with high magazine capacity to protect themselves.

“A magazine ban is unconstitutional, according to the U.S. and state constitutions,” Erich Pratt, senior vice president of Gun Owners of America said. “It will not keep criminals from acquiring them, but it will make citizens less safe.”

According to Pratt, there are many cases in which criminals have intruded into people’s houses but because the homeowner had a gun with a higher capacity magazine, they were better able to defend their homes and their families.

Pratt also noted the August shooting in Dayton, Ohio, which took six policemen firing 58 rounds to take down the gunman who was wearing a bulletproof vest.

“If it takes that much lead from six well-trained officers to stop an attacker,” Prat added, “Why should we think that average citizens need less than 10 rounds?

2017: California First To Pay For Male Prisoner “Transgender” Surgery

By Pie Guevara

Thanks to Joe for bringing this to my attention. Somehow this ran completely under my radar. Obviously I wasn’t paying attention at the time.

In 2017 California taxpayers paid for the elective genital mutilation surgery — aka in PC speak “sex-reassignment” — for convicted killer Shiloh “Heavenly” Quine.

But that wasn’t enough for the convicted first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery for ransom criminal. An unnamed federal magistrate ruled that California provide “transgender” female inmates housed in men’s facilities with more female-oriented items like nightgowns, scarves and necklaces.

This answers the question I posed in the blog post  “Prison Inmates Entitled to Taxpayer Funded Transgender Surgery”. I asked… will men in prison who elect to get surgery to mutilate their genitalia into the form of a the woman’s sexual orifice and “identify” as women be then confined in a women’s prison?

You bet they won’t. The vile, gender bigoted state of California still treats them as if they were men! Moreover they will be provided “female oriented items” to complete their “trans-sex” role as the ultimate prison bitch for fellow male inmates.

THAT is the “liberal” left for you. High school girls are forced to allow boys who dress a girls to be granted free access to their locker room space because these boys “identify” as female but a male “sex-reassignment” criminal convicted of robbery, kidnapping and first degree murder who “identifies” as female is left to languish in a men’s prison.

Get it? It is truly impossible to satirize the left.

Read about it here.

Prison Inmates Entitled to Taxpayer Funded “Transgender” Surgery

By Pie Guevara

Pie Guevara appears in Post Scripts courtesy of Jack Lee and Tina Grazier. Pie Guevara is an unregistered trademark of Engulf and Devour Investments LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Walton Industries which, in turn, is wholly owned by David Walton.  So there!

Just when you thought the loony radical left in this country could not possibly get more ridiculous along comes 2020 Democrat Party presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren.

In 2012 Warren said she didn’t think that funding transgender surgeries for criminals in jail was “a good use of taxpayer dollars.”

As one of a murder of 202o extreme left-wing lunatic Democrat candidates for president vying for attention from the extreme lunatic left Warren has reversed herself announcing, “that was a bad answer…everyone is entitled to medical care that they need.”

One might ask, since when was elective body mutilation surgery needed medical care? Is penis or vagina genital transformation surgery the same “needed care” as treating a brain tumor, removing a diseased pancreas or excising a burst appendix?

Is this the sort of “needed medical care” taxpayers should be expected to pay for?

Moreover, will men in prison who elect to get surgery to mutilate their genitalia into the form of a woman’s sexual orifice and “identify” as women be then confined in a women’s prison?

Since Fauxcahontas has raised this as an important presidential race political issue, inquiring minds would like to know.

For “trans-people” this could be a genital surgery bonanza. Commit a crime with low years punishment and get a taxpayer paid “sex change”.  Democrats have already supported elective “sex change” surgery for military personnel. Get in, have your genitals carved up for free, get out. Toss in some boobs and a lifetime of free hormone treatments as a veteran to consider and were talking some real dough. You don’t think this is possible or even probable? Think again.

Politicians Go Too Far to Win High Office – We Need New Limits on Hate Speech

by Jack

We all know the old joke about a chicken in every pot.  Politicians have a long history for exaggeration to work their crowds and I get it.  That’s tolerable.   However, it gets dangerous when exaggeration turns to deliberate lying, slander and libel.  This is especially true when it scares the public and causes unwarranted social tensions and racial division.

This is what I see happening today.   We’ve heard too many speeches/tweets incorporate fake anger and unfounded allegations, some so extreme that it promotes violence.  This is hate speech folks and we should not let them get away with it – it’s wrong.  I want to show you a video (see below) of exactly what I’m talking about.

Please take a moment to watch the following two videos and then you tell me if you think these politicians, namely Kamal Harris and Elizabeth Warrant  were guilty of lying and  inciting others to violence:

https://youtu.be/GVdFdTfsO4Q

When a politician’s lie exploits volatile issues and stirs up the passions of people to win votes, they have gone too far!   This ought to be where free speech ends and a crime begins, because it is so similar to “inciting a riot.”   I say this knowing Donald Trump has made a number in of angry inaccuracies in his speeches, but by far the worst examples are in speeches by democratic candidates for the presidency.  Look at these false collusion charges fabricated by the Democrats and in particular Hillary Clinton and this charade they call impeachment.

The lies have been so detrimental that they have caused unstable individuals to murder police officers and shoot republicans.   Yes, lives have been lost for the personal gain of certain  politicians and that has to stop.  The guilty politicians need to be held personally accountable…if that means a criminal indictment, then so be it.
