It’s only a one night poll, but John Zogby reports that his Friday night survey shows McCain leading Obama by 48 to 47. It’s only a one night poll (as opposed to the usual three day moving average) but it is 1,000 interviews. It is also over Halloween night! But it is the first poll in three weeks that shows McCain leading. What’s up? We think that the advertisement being run by GOPTrust.com is having an effect. It is an ad featuring Rev. Jeremiah Wright decrying America and calling it “the USA of KKK” while Obama sat, deaf-mute in the congregation. By bringing the shocking reality of Rev. Wright back to America’s TV screens; GOPTrust.com is performing an important public service. It is just not credible that Obama sat in the congregation for twenty years, asked the Reverend to officiate at his wedding and to baptize his children, titled his book after one of his sermons, and did not know the kind of vile, anti-American hatred he was spewing.
Sarah Palin wowed em on Saturday Night and got great ratings, but did she get any votes? SNL has been unmercifully mean-spirited, in effect pulling down McCain’s pants on a regular basis, but he shows up and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, does his own self-deprecating gag, playing along with the SNL’s age joke and alluding that Palin was not his best choice. Sure, it was funny, sure it got ratings, but did it get any votes and did it help his stature? I guess that part (stature) that bothered me most, was it Presidential? Is comic entertainment on SNL or Letterman what we have come to expect from our Presidential candidates? If it is, it reafirms my feeling about low-brow voters. Obama had the poorest showing of all, coming off stiff and stodgy…but, then isn’t that what we would expect from a President?

Are the masses too dumb or irresponsible to be trusted with something as important as the vote, without first passing some sort of qualification test? 
This is the day we set our clocks back to the normal time….officially it happens at 2:00 AM but I doubt if many of you will be up to witness the event…as for me I’ll be catching some zzzzzzzzzzzzz’s
Congressional candidate Charlie Brown has been accused of appearing in full uniform at a radical political event where a soldier was hung in effigy. Just the thought of this made me really mad! No doubt this was the whole purpose of the political ad too. But, how true was it? If it was true this is a court marshal offense! No soldier may appear in uniform or otherwise at any radical political event, nor in uniform at any event that brings discredit upon the military.
