Obama Supports Global Tax From United Nations, by Christine O’Donnell

Obama Supports Global Tax From United Nations, by Christine O’Donnell

His Global Poverty Act, currently under consideration in Congress, is just one such policy. Despite its seemingly innocuous title, the Global Poverty Act would force America to adopt the U.N.s Millennium Development Goals as official U.S. policy. This means outsourcing to the United Nations all important decisions concerning the use of U.S. foreign aid dollars. Not only that, but the fee for allowing the U.N. to play the middle man in our global war on poverty would be a tax of .7 percent of the U.S. Gross National Product. Thats right. Barack Obama and his liberal allies such as Senator Biden have signed on to a bill that would allow the U.N. to tax America (and Americans) an estimated $845 billion over the next 13 years. Obamas plan represents perhaps the greatest affront to our national sovereignty since the War of 1812.

RUSSIAN TROOPS INVADE GEORGIA!

by Jack

“Russia sends troops into Georgia” was the headlines as American’s opened their morning newspapers! “Russia is fighting a war with us in our own state, well call out the Guard and get me a flight to North Carolina!” decried Governor Sonny Perdue at his Atlanta Office. In other areas of the state heavily armed militias formed up willy nilly as the word of the invasion spread. Country stores were the ralling points in some areas ofthe state with hunters buying up entire stocks of beer an moonshine in preparation of a protracted war. Elsewhere sporatic gunfire could be heard across the capital in Altanta where city parking lots filled with armed volunteers like truck driver DeWayne Pickens, wearing his camoflauge clothing and face paint. He was busily loading his Winchester from the back of his pick up truck as he told local reporters, “I always knew this day would come!!” Then they explained the story to DeWayne….uh, wrong Georgia. See story below.

Fabulous Quoteand Timely Too!

Posted by Tina

While reading a tribute piece in the Herald Sun titled Alexander Solzhenitsyn feeds the darkest temptation, by Andrew Bolt I came upon a quote from the great Philosopher Karl Popper. The discussion, why so many intellectuals are attracted and seduced by ideologies that aim to replace open societies with tyranny, prompted this wonderful gem:

I am inclined to think that the reason is that they give expression to a deep felt dissatisfaction with a world that does not, and cannot, live up to our moral ideals and to our dreams of perfection. ** (T)he revolt against civilization may bea reaction against the strain of our civilization and its demand for personal responsibility.

Those in the green movement seek to perfect our society. But the convoluted rules and restrictions that spring from movements like these are designed to define and shape an unreasonable ideal, a perfected society. We have been told that people must be controlled and made to conform because they are too stupid or greedy to do the right thing on their own. We have been told that because our system fails to reach perfection in terms of the human condition it must be forsaken for a government controlled system, a government take-over of the oil and health care industries for instance.

My question for you? What makes intellectuals (and pretend intellectuals) think that government in absolute control (administered by mere human beings, after all) wont disappoint in equal or greater measure? Or do they even bother to ask that question?

Notice the Silence

news-paper-clipart1.jpgby Tina Grazier

So whats up with the media; why are they so quiet about some stories? Stories about politicians caught in compromising positions have always provided that POP the media loves and craves. Pro-lifers lined up in front of abortion clinics were sensationalized as religious protesters were labeled as crazies and then when a real crazy took it upon himself to bomb an abortion clinic all pro-lifers were implicated in the act by association. We have watched as the media covered the Iraq war as a total failure and the surge as wrongheaded and a waste of time and resources, until we started winningthen we heard nothing. In the primary season the attention paid to Barack Obama was considerably more enthusiastic and charitable than coverage of Senator Clinton causing her to complain of media bias.

So what is up with the media? How do they decide what to report (or not) and how to report it? What do they use as their guiding principle? Two recent events are reason enough to ask these questions. One features typical bad boy behavior and the second violent behavior:

Divided Dems Could Spell Obama’s End

by Jack Lee

Will the Clinton’s be the undoing of the Obama for Presidency campaign? That is the question given the fact that Mrs. Clinton felt like she came within a heartbeat of securing the nomination and that she was treated unfairly during the race. Her husband certainly has expressed that and added, he didn’t appreciate being called racist. Now Hillary is talking about having her name submitted in the nomination convention.

A divided party can’t win and Obama knows it, but he has billed himself at the great uniter and in this context he may become a victim of his own success. Obama has characterized himself as a sort of modern day Messiah, the ultimate statesman that is going bring the Israelis and Palestinians together, he is going to bring Iran onto the same page with the rest of the world, he is going to heal old racial divisions in the US and tribal conflicts in Africa, but first he must unite his own party. If he can’t…he will be seen for what he is, just another politician who makes a lot of empty promises.

This following list (see below) is explained in part as as half-truths or misleading over at http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp. Why I Am Voting Democrat!

I’m voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I’m voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I’m voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they’re doing because they now think we’re good people.
