How to Explain Obama Administration Sympathy for Terrorists in Nigeria?

Posted by Tina

The Obama administration has used drone strikes to slaughter Al Qaeda. It is said that he had a “kill list” and personally chose when to target persons on this list, collateral damage not withstanding. So how to explain his State Department’s appeal for “human rights” when Nigerian war planes target Islamist insurgents:

(Reuters) – Nigerian warplanes struck militant camps in the northeast on Friday in a major push against an Islamist insurgency, drawing a sharp warning from the United States to respect human rights and not harm civilians. … Secretary of State John Kerry issued a strongly worded statement saying: “We are … deeply concerned by credible allegations that Nigerian security forces are committing gross human rights violations, which, in turn, only escalate the violence and fuel extremism.”

The United States is the biggest foreign investor in Africa’s most populous nation, notably in its energy sector, and buys a third of Nigeria’s oil. Washington “condemns Boko Haram’s campaign of terror in the strongest terms”, Kerry said, but urged Nigeria’s armed forces to show restraint and discipline.

Some terrorists are more equal than others?

That’s right. Ninny. The Nigerian government has dithered inexcusably in dealing with its Islamic insurgents … but strafing the refugees is always a bad idea. Strengthens the insurgency, don’t you know.

Come come Libby dear. You screeched about collateral damage and refugees under Bush. Obama has the same kind of record killing innocents as he targets extremists and causing refugee flee with not one peep out of you. So now it’s okay for Obama, and not hypocritical of him (or you) when he shames the Nigerian for doing the same thing?

Progressives are strange animals. You have no grounding in principle, you refuse to name the bad guys, and you change the rules for yourselves when you’re in power. Progressives, and particularly this criminal administration, are slime.

    Well said, Tina!

If Barry Sotero had any balls he would admit and declare himself a Muslim who is fed up with Muslim terrorism and call all true Muslims to stand against Jihadists.

But he doesn’t and won’t. He is a coward who gets others to do his bidding and then disavows any knowledge unless it is his political advantage.

THIS is what young men give their lives to protect and secure?

I beg your pardon. I protested fruitless and moronic wars, which have subsequently proved to be … fruitless and moronic. This, of course, includes the brutalizing of civilians in the conduct thereof.
