Sanctuary Cities Are Illegal – It’s Anarchy – They Must Be Stopped!

By Jack

Illegal deported five times who shot woman: I came back to San Francisco because it was a sanctuary city

San Francisco thought they could flaunt the federal law and go their own way because they knew best.  Well, their way cost lives of three of the city’s citizens, the latest being a 32 year old female gunned down in broad daylight while strolling with her father and a friend.  Prior to that it was an illegal/gang member who opened fire on a father and son after a traffic accident.   The City of San Francisco and the Obama Administration that let them get away with this asinine “Sanctuary City” policy share some of the blame for these murders.   This policy has done nothing to lower crime and increase reporting, but it has encouraged plenty of criminals coming from Mexico to sneak in.  San Francisco had no right back in 2008 when I wrote the article below and they have no right now to be a sanctuary for any criminal, that is anarchy and they need to be prosecuted, as do all the government officials, in every so-called sanctuary city!

In Nov. of 2008 I wrote the following about San Francisco and it’s policy of being a sanctuary city for illegal aliens:  ”

City Must Follow State Law Requiring Police Officers to Report Suspected Aliens (undocumented pharmaceutical workers) Arrested on Drug Charges to Feds. Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that the First District Court of Appeal for the State of California has ruled in a Judicial Watch taxpayer lawsuit that the San Francisco Police Department must comply with a state law requiring police officers to notify federal authorities when they arrest a person for various narcotics offenses whom they suspect to be an alien, legal or illegal [Fonseca v. Fong, Case No. A120206].

The appellate court reversed a lower court ruling that the SFPD was not required to obey the law because the law in question, Section 11369 of the California Health and Safety Code, invaded the federal government’s exclusive power to regulate immigration. Rejecting this argument, the appellate court remanded the case back to the trial court to determine if the SFPD’s policies comply with Section 11369. According to the appellate court ruling issued on October 22, 2008:

…Section 11369 does not require any state or local law enforcement agency to independently determine whether an arrestee is a citizen of the United States, let alone whether he or she is present in the United States lawfully or unlawfully. Nor does the statute create or authorize the creation of independent criteria by which to classify individuals based on immigration status… All of those determinations, as well as the duty to tell an arrestee who may be in this country unlawfully to either obtain legal status or leave, are left entirely to federal immigration authorities…the statute is therefore not an impermissible state regulation of immigration.

As a result of the appellate ruling, San Francisco must now end its sanctuary policy that protects aliens arrested for certain drug offenses from being reported to ICE.

Section 11369 of the Health and Safety Code (Section 11369) states: “[w]hen there is reason to believe that any person arrested for a violation [of any of 14 specified drug offenses] may not be a citizen of the United States, the arresting agency shall notify the appropriate agency of the United States having charge of deportation matters.” However, as Judicial Watch argued on behalf of its taxpayer client, Charles Fonseca, the SFPD prohibited police officers from complying with this law. As evidence of the SFPD’s illegal behavior, Judicial Watch quoted a statement from the San Francisco Field Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that noted a “bare minimum of cooperation” between administrators of the San Francisco County Jail and ICE.

  1. J. Soden says:

Anyone who had a part in making and keeping SF a sanctuary city can be considered an accessory to murder now. And will SF voters (or other cities) allow it to continue or will political correctness still run amok?

If we had a DOJ that was anything other than a clean-up goon squad for the Demwits and a prez that thinks he’s above the law, there would be much less division in our country

  2. Chris says:

“Anyone who had a part in making and keeping SF a sanctuary city can be considered an accessory to murder now.”

Boy, guilt by association sure is fun when it’s targeted at someone else!

    • Post Scripts says:

“Anyone who had a part in making and keeping SF a sanctuary city can be considered an accessory to murder now.” Boy, guilt by association sure is fun when it’s targeted at someone else! Chris S.

Chris, it either is or it is not. Are the advocates for sanctuary cities, who flaunt the federal law, complicitous or not, yes or no?

Try to avoid deflection and spin and just be honest and tell it like it is. You’ll have a lot more fun taking the high road.

  3. Chris says:

“Chris, it either is or it is not. Are the advocates for sanctuary cities, who flaunt the federal law, complicitous or not, yes or no?”

No. And I’ll remind you that when liberals have tried to accuse conservatives of being complicitous in murders for opposing things like universal background checks, you’ve responded by accusing them of politicizing tragedies.

Don’t be hypocritical, Jack. Supporters of sanctuary cities may be wrong, but they aren’t murder accomplices, any more than opponents of gun control are.

  4. Peggy says:

The problem is worse than just San Francisco and other cities. Gov. Brown in 2013 signed into law a bill that made all of Calif. a sanctuary state.

Jerry Brown Betrays Americans, Makes California ‘Sanctuary’ State:

Gov. Jerry Brown continued his streak of anti-Americanism by signing the so-called “Trust Act,” turning California into a “sanctuary” state.

The law bans state officials from transferring illegal immigrants to federal authorities for deportation if in the estimate of those state officials the aliens haven’t committed “serious” offenses.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and former Homeland Security Secretary and current University of California President Janet Napolitano are among the Democrats who leaned on Gov. Moonbeam to sign the “Trust Act.”

Thanks to the liberal leadership of California, illegal immigrants, only half of whom are actually from Mexico, can break the border secure in the knowledge that nothing much will happen to them so long as they don’t kill somebody (or at least aren’t linked to any killings).

Combined with the new law allowing illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses, the “Trust Act” will cement California’s position as staging ground for the invasion of the rest of the country. By trying to mince the law according to state officials’ estimations of “serious” and nonserious crimes, Gov. Moonbeam has just invited criminals of all levels to make California home base as they spread their influence across the USA.”

O’Reilly’s Talking Points 7/6/15: (He’s pissed to put it mildly. Challenges Congress to write a Kate Steinle’s law.)

“O’Reilly directly calls out both the city of San Francisco and the Obama administration for their support of so-called “sanctuary cities” — of which San Francisco is one — which provide safe haven even for convicted, illegal criminals. And, in this case, can be tied directly to Kate Steinle’s murder, given perpetrator Sanchez’s admission that he kept coming back to San Francisco to avoid deportation, given its sanctuary policy.”

  5. Tina says:

The proponents of this insane policy may not be accessories to murder, legally, but they certainly are irresponsible citizens who flaunt ESTABLISHED law in the name of political correctness!!!

There’s a big difference in engaging in political argument and flaunting established law…but that’s just me.

As we know the left has no use for laws they don’t like…they don’t engage honestly in political debate either.

  6. dewey says:

I am more concerned by the Right wing extreme hate groups who kill more Americans than any other group. Those sovereign citizens carrying the Tea Party and Confed flag.

Never a mention of that here why?

    Trump? You voting for Trump?

Hey I am all for free speech, if you want to hop on that band wagon buy all means do so…. we need to see exactly who is who in America

  7. Harold says:

There really isn’t any similarities between harboring criminals and preventing he unnecessary creation of additional restricting Gun laws that only hinder law abiding citizens. There is no law that will ever prevent a criminal from obtaining a gun easily, and California has some of the most restrictive.

If San Francisco politicians are going to welcome these criminals maybe we should relax gun laws and encourage law abiding people to carry and be able to protect themselves.

However I do see where the San Francisco’s 3 most recognizable and two most influential Politicians have failed their own constituents by closing their eyes to San Francisco ignoring Federal immigration laws in their own districts, thereby providing undocumented(PC)criminals a place to move freely about. Now to me there’s where the crime started.

  8. Chris says:

I’m not defending sactuary cities. I think if someone commits a crime, no matter how small, and they are found to be in the country illegally, they should be reported to the Feds and booted.

But the hysteria has to stop.

The crime rate among first generation immigrants is much lower than the crime rate of the general population, and there is no correlation between immigration (legal or otherwise) and violent crime.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/07/02/surprise-donald-trump-is-wrong-about-immigrants-and-crime/

I understand having concern for the border and our right to control who comes through, but the right wing has allowed this concern to cross over into blatant racism too many times. Just look at these statements by Donald Trump:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some of them, I assume, are good people.”

    Recently, he tweeted:

“#JebBush has like Mexican illegals because of his wife.”

    Before deleting it.

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-deletes-tweet-jeb-bushs-wife/story?id=32256986

And here’s Ann Coulter, defending Trump with even more racism:

“I will bet you by the end of the weekend, more Americans will have been killed by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks.”

    http://insider.foxnews.com/2015/07/05/ann-coulter-strikes-back-critics-who-slammed-her-immigration-stance

She didn’t even have the decency to say “illegal immigrants.” She said Mexicans. She said you should be afraid of being killed by Mexicans. Well, I’d bet more Americans will be killed by white people this weekend than sharks or ISIS as well. What the hell is that supposed to prove?

  9. Pie Guevara says:

Well, well, well, again Chris and Dewey come down on the wrong side of the issue, again. The paranoid Dewey being the most nauseating and Chris, who will use the use the typical left wing punchline and cry “racist” at the drop of a hat coming in a close second.

No Chris, Ann Coulter is not a racist, but you are a typical, unthinking, uninformed bigoted, liberal for calling her that. She was, in fact, correct. And given the pervasive corruption of the Mexican government and police and their ineptness or actual collusion with the vicious drug cartels, who also are engaged in human trafficking and sexual slavery, that statement rings even more true.

Yep, we should be concerned with the flood of Canadian illegals and drugs and human trafficking sex slaves, BUT THEN THAT WOULDN’T BE RACIST, WOULD IT?

Coulter also thinks that instead of allowing a yearly flood of legal and illegal immigrants to lower wages for corporations and wealthy politicians’ maid, yard and pool cleaning services we should be providing legitimate American citizens with jobs, especially black Americans who suffer greatly from poverty and unemployment.

    But that is RACIST!

Mexican illegal immigration is a huge problem. Mexican sexual slavery and their drug cartels are too. MEXICAN, MEXICAN, MEXICAN! But it is “racist” to speak of the problems caused by MEXICANS.

God, do you liberal morons make me ill.

  10. Pie Guevara says:

Sadly, the above was a bit sloppy.

    Addendum —

Chris : “Well, I’d bet more Americans will be killed by white people this weekend than sharks or ISIS as well.”

By your logic, that is a racist statement. Please provide statistics over the holiday weekend on violent crime that includes percentages of population based on race. My bet is you lose.

  11. Pie Guevara says:

    Addendum to the addendum —

Chris : “Well, I’d bet more Americans will be killed by white people this weekend than sharks or ISIS as well.”

Actually this statement is racist and saying Mexicans will kill more people than sharks or ISIS is absolutely not. Chris presumes that Mexicans are a race or of one race. They are not. Mexico has all kinds of ethnic, cultural, and racial backgrounds some quite mixed, some not. Mexico is quite diverse, they even have a large population that is labeled “white.”

Mexicans are not a race, you sad and despicable racist bigot.

So who is the racist? Chris is. And, evidently, a self loathing racist.

  12. Libby says:

Hear the latest? One of Jack’s responsible gun owner/law men made a contribution. You want it to be stereotypical, but it ain’t.

  13. Chris says:

You know Pie, I used to think you were a smart guy who played dumb in order to justify the most ridiculous arguments imaginable, but your last stream of comments leaves me no choice but to conclude that you aren’t pretending.

Chris : “Well, I’d bet more Americans will be killed by white people this weekend than sharks or ISIS as well.”

Pie: “By your logic, that is a racist statement.”

Yes, of course it is. That’s because it was an ANALOGY, lunkhead. You know what an analogy is, don’t you? I was showing the ridiculousness of Coulter’s racist statement, which was meant to stoke fear of Mexicans, by showing that a similar statement about white people would be both a) equally true and b) equally meaningless.

“Chris presumes that Mexicans are a race or of one race.”

    No, I do not.

Are you actually saying that because Mexicans are not a race, it is impossible to be racist against Mexicans?

Why am I asking that as a question? Of course you are. There is no argument too dumb for you to make.

This is just like when you started calling me the despicable name of “negro burner” because I said I would “hold Obama’s feet to the fire,” a very common figure of speech meaning “to criticize harshly.”

You don’t give a sh*t about racism, you only care about flinging poo at people you hate, and you don’t care how stupid you make yourself in doing so.

“But it is “racist” to speak of the problems caused by MEXICANS.”

Yes, and you are just as much of a racist bigot as Coulter.

  14. Pie Guevara says:

Idiot Libs, this is what “racist” Ann Couter is talking about.

    MICROSOFT LAYS OFF 7,800
WHILE LOBBYING FOR MORE IMMIGRANT WORKERS

    http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/08/technology/microsoft-layoffs-7800/

  15. Chris says:

Pie: “Ann Coulter is not a racist”

Right. Here are more totally-not-racist things said by Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter echoes white nationalist rhetoric, describing demographic changes as white “genocide:”

“One may assume the new majority will not be such compassionate overlords as the white majority has been. If this sort of drastic change were legally imposed on any group other than white Americans, it would be called genocide. Yet whites are called racists merely for mentioning the fact that current immigration law is intentionally designed to reduce their percentage in the population.”

Ann Coulter compares immigration to being raped:

“My favorite network for humor is MSNBC. They’re always sneering, demographics are changing. No this isn’t a natural process. It’s like you’re being raped and the guy is telling you ‘my penis is in you.’ No, you’re raping me. Demographics are changing by force. There is nothing natural about it.”

Ann Coulter suggests executing amnesty supporters:

“Amnesty is forever and you got to vote for the Republicans one more time and just make it clear; but if you pass amnesty, that’s it, it’s over and then we organize the death squads for the people who wrecked America.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORSVaz0pozM

Ann Coulter calls middle easterners “rag-heads:”

“I think our motto should be, post-9/11, ‘Raghead talks tough, raghead faces consequences.”

    http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/ann-coulter-raghead-comments-spark-blogger-backlash

Ann Coulter once again tells Americans to be afraid of getting killed by Mexicans:

“I have a little tip for you–If you don’t want to be killed by ISIS, don’t go to Syria. If you don’t want to be killed by a Mexican, I don’t know what to tell you.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4lsOb-j3o0

Ann Coulter implies to a Honduran immigrant that only blacks can be the victims of racism:

“You’re not black, so drop the racism crap.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUNyJKuvO2Y

Ann Coulter insists that Santa Claus is white:

“You go find me a black Santa at the North pole. He’s white, Piers.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhSH1b0_KLk

Coulter says mixed race couples in New York have “a chip on their shoulder” and are “waiting for somebody to say something” and that Jews “should be perfected:”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wnPHFSdrME

But yes, Ann Coulter is not racist, because it’s impossible for any conservative to be racist, because only liberals are racist. This you believe with all your heart, and no amount of evidence will ever change that.

Ann Coulter is a racist, Pie, and so are you.

  16. Chris says:

Libby at #16: What are you referring to?

  17. Chris says:

Pie at #18, where in that CNN article does it warn Americans that they should be afraid of getting killed by Mexicans? How on earth does that article justify Ann’s statement that Americans should be afraid of getting killed by Mexicans?

Did you perhaps mean to cite a different news article, one which explained why you and Ann Coulter believe Americans should be afraid of getting killed by Mexicans?

  18. Pie Guevara says:

Chris takes a few Coulter statements out of context and lamely tries to make a case. Ann Coulter is a firebrand who uses loaded remarks to make a rhetorical point. She is not a racist.

Chris, however, is the true racist, as evidenced by his above remarks and his willingness to burn the feet of blacks. He is the unthinking, ill-informed, bigoted racist product of liberalism.

I never asserted that it is impossible for a conservative to be a racist, and Chris has no idea what is in my heart. Chris is a presumptive, arrogant, and stupid bigoted liberal Democratic party hypocrite. God if that statement from Chris does not absolutely define him, what does?

It is the Democratic Party that has a two hundred plus year old history of racism and slavery, not conservatives and Republicans you pathetic liar doofus.

  19. Chris says:

Pie: “Chris takes a few Coulter statements out of context”

I see the term “taking out of context” has now been redefined to mean “directly quoting people in their own words saying things I wish they hadn’t said.”

None of the remarks I quoted are “out of context.” I even linked to video evidence for most of them.

Your assertion that these comments were taken out of context–which you back up with nothing–is cowardly. It shows that you are trying to weasel out of acknowledging the clear meaning of Coulter’s words. Clearly, acknowledging that Coulter made these racist statements would cause you severe psychological distress. She’s a person you greatly admire. And why shouldn’t you? She’s a hateful, nasty, bigoted bully, and you’ve spent all of your time on Post Scripts attempting to emulate her.

If you really believe these remakes were out of context, you could always provide the full context to prove your assessment. I mean, what do you think she said to justify her disturbingly white nationalist comments that immigration amounts to a genocide of white people? “No, totally kidding guys, of course I don’t believe immigration is white genocide, because only crazy racists believe that!” Is that what you think the missing “context” is?

“Chris, however, is the true racist, as evidenced by his above remarks and his willingness to burn the feet of blacks.”

I’ve had my share of squabbles with most of the posters here, but I can guaran-damn-tee you that not a single one of then believes that I am willing to “burn the feet of blacks” because I said I would “hold Obama’s feet to the fire” if the Benghazi accusations turned out to be true. You don’t even believe that. So what is the purpose of saying it? What could you possibly have to gain by making statements about me that no one could possibly believe? Why are you wasting everybody’s time?

“It is the Democratic Party that has a two hundred plus year old history of racism and slavery, not conservatives and Republicans you pathetic liar doofus.”

Yes, and the parties are exactly the same as they were at the time of the Civil War up to LBJ up to now. Why don’t you find out which party is defending the Confederate flag and which one isn’t, then get back to me with your “The Southern realignment never happened” bullish-t.

  20. Pie Guevara says:

OK, let me take these one at a time …

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #1)
“One may assume the new majority will not be such compassionate overlords as the white majority has been. If this sort of drastic change were legally imposed on any group other than white Americans, it would be called genocide. Yet whites are called racists merely for mentioning the fact that current immigration law is intentionally designed to reduce their percentage in the population.”

That is not “racist” it is stating facts. The white majority has shown deep compassion from abolitionists to the misplaced and ill-advised failure to enforce immigration laws which are, in fact, designed to decrease the “white” majority. Whites should be called racists and have been called racists for doing just that to American Indians. And guess what, THEY WERE! But under liberalism, if the same is done to whites, it is not racism. That was the whole point.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #2)
““My favorite network for humor is MSNBC. They’re always sneering, demographics are changing. No this isn’t a natural process. It’s like you’re being raped and the guy is telling you ‘my penis is in you.’ No, you’re raping me. Demographics are changing by force. There is nothing natural about it.”

Yes, the demographics are being changed by force (by not enforcing already existing immigration laws.) Rape is done by force. Now, you may find the comparison distasteful, but the fact is the demographics are being changed by force. Pointing that out is not racist.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #3)
“Amnesty is forever and you got to vote for the Republicans one more time and just make it clear; but if you pass amnesty, that’s it, it’s over and then we organize the death squads for the people who wrecked America.”

Coulter was being factitious about death squads to make a point, not advocating executions for racist reasons. Besides, the people who are wrecking America (Democrats), are not a race as neither are Mexicans, dimwit.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #4)
“I think our motto should be, post-9/11, ‘Raghead talks tough, raghead faces consequences.”

Yes, if a raghead talks tough, a raghead should face consequences. Moreover, if a racist, evil, ISIS raghead talks tough, the racist, evil, ISIS raghead should face consequences. You disagree? Yes the term “raghead” is a derogatory term, but that does not make Coulter a racist. Especially to a self confessed potential n****r burner like the bigoted racist Chris.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #5)
“I have a little tip for you–If you don’t want to be killed by ISIS, don’t go to Syria. If you don’t want to be killed by a Mexican, I don’t know what to tell you.”

I have already addressed this. The notion that this is a racist statement is just plain nonsense. Radical Muslims are not a race and neither are Mexicans, but the bigoted racist Chris is too much of a drooling, toothless, backwoods inbred moron to get it. (With apologies to all drooling, toothless, backwoods inbred morons.) La Raza is a racist organization that claims Latinos are a new race but Chris has never addressed this and avoids it. Why? Because he is a bigoted racist who identifies with idiotic racist organizations that identify themselves as non-white.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #6)
“You’re not black, so drop the racism crap.”

The Honduran was making false accusations of racism with regard to immigration, which was, indeed, a load of crap, just like the racist bigot Chris is a load of crap.

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #7)
“You go find me a black Santa at the North pole. He’s white, Piers.”

In this Coulter was being purely facetious because the issue was plain stupid. Of course there is no black nor white nor any “race” Santa at the North pole. In this Chris is merely being a pissant, bigoted racist whiner blowhard. The tradition of Santa Claus in northern Europe and in the USA is that he is a jolly white man. Now I don’t give a damn is anyone wishes to portray him as any race, and I’ll bet Coulter does not either. Question: Given that the tradition in the USA is to portray Santa as “white”, isn’t it racist to portray him as non-white?

FAIL FOR THE RACIST BIGOT CHRIS #8)
Coulter says mixed race couples in New York have “a chip on their shoulder” and are “waiting for somebody to say something” and that Jews “should be perfected:”

This video is actually hilarious. Coulter was being badgered and responded with wit and humor. She is obviously a Christian who thinks Christianity is wonderful religion. Nothing racist about that. Her comment about mixed race couples having a chip on their shoulder waiting for somebody to say something is racist? It was hilarious. The worst you could say is that she is something of a true believer in Christianity. Again, the vile bigoted racist Chris is fishing for racism where none exists. He sees and charges racism over nothing.

No Chris, I am not a racist, nor is Ann Coulter, but you sure as hell are. Chris is an over-blown, bloviating, niggling liberal twerp who would find eating a vanililla ice cream racist.

  21. Peggy says:

The illegal immigration problem is bigger than just sanctuary cities. Gov. Brown signed the Trust Act in 2013 making all of Calif. a sanctuary state on Jan. 1, 2014.

    California Trust Act:

“Welcome to the California TRUST Act website.
The TRUST Act (AB 4) went into effect on Jan. 1, 2014. All counties in California must follow this law, which limits cruel and costly immigration “hold” requests in local jails.

With TRUST, immigrant crime victims and witnesses will be able to come forward and cooperate with police without fear of deportation. This will rebuild confidence in local law enforcement that’s been badly damaged by the “Secure” Communities or S-Comm deportation dragnet.

This website provides resources to support you in educating, monitoring, and implementing the TRUST Act.”

    http://www.catrustact.org/

The California TRUST Act is now in effect!:

“As of January 1, a new law in California limits local jails from wastefully holding people for extra time, solely for deportation purposes.

This new law is called the TRUST Act. The TRUST Act will keep families together, save local resources, and enhance community confidence in local enforcement.

Learn more about the new law on this website!

    What the TRUST Act does

The TRUST Act sets a minimum standard across the state to limit cruel and costly immigration “hold” requests in local jails. These optional holds are often caused by the deeply controversial “Secure” Communities or S-Comm program. They trap undocumented and immigrant Californians – and even citizens – for extra time, at local expense, just because ICE thinks it can deport them.

The TRUST Act ensures that people with most low-level, non-violent offenses are not wastefully held for deportation purposes. At the same time, it allows holds for most felony convictions and also for those accused of felonies under certain circumstances, along with a number of higher level misdemeanor (or “wobbler”) convictions within 5 years and for certain federal criminal convictions.

Since all immigration holds risk violating the constitution, local governments can and should enact further protections.”

    http://www.catrustact.org/about.html

“Below are the County Policies implementing the TRUST Act in California.

Please contact us if your county has a policy that is not listed here and you would like it to be included.” (Check out the list of counties. Butte IS on the list.)

    http://www.catrustact.org/countycity-policies.html

This administration stopped Arizona from enforcing federal immigration laws. So, why didn’t they stop Calif. from not enforcing those same laws? Rhetorical question. We all know the answer.

  22. Pie Guevara says:

Re #18 Chris : What are you, a one dimensional, self absorbed nitwit? That comment refers to the core issue of her book, not crap you spew and assume to be the one and only focus here.

    Sheesh.

  23. Pie Guevara says:

Back to the original posting by Jack Lee before the racist bigot scum Chris hijacked this thread with his usual and despicable left-wing jerk Bill Ayers diversionary tactics …

Yes Jack, sanctuary cites are illegal and need to be forced to comply with federal immigration laws as comes under the auspices of the federal government.

Obama needs to be forced to comply with immigration law too. How we can get this criminal POTUS to comply is anyone’s guess.

It is my view we do not need to change immigration law as it exists (although it could be improved)just enforce it.

One improvement could be to stop the complete farce of asylum seekers. Just drop it, period, and consider them as everyone else is considered.

  24. Pie Guevara says:

Add to the above that despicable illegal immigration criminal Jerry Brown and the Democrats who invite illegals into this state. This is just plain nuts.

The Wall Street Journal and some GOP nut cases trying to destroy American wages and flood this country with cheap labor should also be admonished and brought to heel as well as nearly the entire left-wing DimRat party.

Ann Coulter is right, if this continues, it is “Adios, America: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole.”

She was also spot on with “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama.” where she just nails vile racist bigots like Chris.

I think both are required reading for anyone who is trying to make sense of the ridiculous mess the left has imposed on this country.

    Pie Guevara:

“That is not “racist” it is stating facts. That was the whole point.”

    Holygodwhat.

Thank you, Pie, for demonstrating to everyone that you are just as much of a paranoid, crazy white nationalist as Coulter.

I hope you will not find agreement or support from Jack, Peggy, Tina or anyone else here that changing demographics amount to a “white genocide” similar to what was done to the Native Americans. That has got to be the craziest, most disgusting thing I have ever seen posted here.

Jack, Tina, Peggy–thoughts? Were you always aware of Pie’s white nationalist leanings, or is this a new revelation to everyone?

  26. Pie Guevara says:

Thank you Peggy for reminding me that thanks to the DimRats and lunatic Jerry “Governor Moonbeam” Brown we have a state law that directly violates federal statutes. Of course the present federal executive does not give a damn that California violates those statutes because Obamabad does not want them enforced.

This just in : Trump is excoriated but Reid got a pass. Funny how that works.

  27. Chris says:

It’s important to note that Pie Guevara and Ann Coulter’s “white genocide” theory is shared by many white nationalists, and may have been part of what motivated Dylan Storm Roof:

“According to a manifesto on Dylann Storm Roof’s website, CCC propaganda was his entry point into the world of hard-core racism. On its website, he found warnings about “white genocide,” incendiary claims about black-on-white crime, and talk of South Africa. The patches he wore on his jacket, including the flag of the former South African apartheid regime, and the words he uttered during his murderous rampage – his claim that black people were “taking over our country” and “rap[ing] our women” – come straight from the CCC playbook.”

  28. Pie Guevara says:

Re #29 from racist bigot Chris : I figured you would completely miss the point. And you, sir, have showed yourself AGAIN to be the scum-of-the-earth left-wing kook you have always been for your most recent despicable slur against Coulter and myself.

Coulter was using an abused and often exaggerated by the left term (genocide) as a rhetorical device, you nitwit. She was tossing it right back into your specious faces. You take it literally because to do so serves your bigoted left-wing purposes of character assassination to take such a narrow and demented interpretation. Also, you have never impressed me as being very bright, so such nuance may be lost on you naturally or purposefully.

Some day you will cast your vicious slurs at the wrong person and then it will be over for you. I look forward to that day.

Unlike you I will not whine to Jack and Tina as is YOUR habit. You will never change. It is AGAIN YOU, sir, who casts the first stone with your disgusting racism slurs and I again responded in kind.

    Other Chris Issues

Chris : I see the term “taking out of context” has now been redefined to mean “directly quoting people in their own words saying things I wish they hadn’t said.

No, I mean the context of the whole body of her work, especially the most recent. You take bits and pieces to make a specious argument that Coulter is a racist. By the way, since when was it moral crime and be white and a nationalist? I am sure there are plenty of my brothers and sisters of other racial backgrounds and ethnic backgrounds who love the USA and are nationalists. I think you have a deep and abiding hatred the USA, nationalism and national pride and conservatives.

    Other Chris Issues —

Chris : I see the term “taking out of context” has now been redefined to mean “directly quoting people in their own words saying things I wish they hadn’t said.

No, I mean the context of the whole body of her work especially including her latest Adios, America: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country into a Third World Hellhole. You take bits and pieces to make a specious argument that Coulter is a racist and a white supremacist. She is not.

Chris : She’s a hateful, nasty, bigoted bully, and you’ve spent all of your time on Post Scripts attempting to emulate her.

No Chris, the only one here who is a hateful, nasty, bigoted bully is you. Just ask Jack and Tina who have suffered your ugly abuses innumerable times. All I have ever done is respond in kind to your horrid slurs against others and myself. If I wanted to emulate Coulter I would not throw your slurs, or your curses right back into your ugly mug. I would also have a plethora of books that have been #1 or at least on the NYT best seller list and would be a regular guest on television political talk shows.

Chris : I said I would “hold Obama’s feet to the fire.”

Well, well, well, that still stings “Mr. Sensitivity” who so flaunts his phony “compassion” like Confederate flags at a KKK convention. I am pleased. You continually like to take people’s words literally without any sense of rhetorical nuance in order to serve your purposes of character assassination. Yet “Mr. Sensitivity” NEVER admits to it. So I just turned that back on you. Of course the lesson was lost on our resident genius.

Obama is half black but identifies black. You would burn him. That is a despicable and wholly insensitive remark give the long and ugly history of torture murder by burning, lynching, and lynching-burning in this country and your admission that you would torture burn a black POTUS is even more disturbing and reprehensible.

Chris, as far as I am concerned you can drop dead for all your innumerable and never ending vicious slurs, specious accusations, continual flow of fallicies, and unbridaled hate speech. Nothing about you has changed, nor will it ever. You are a despicable and not very bright left-wing brat who likes to strut his supposed moral and intellectual “superiority” while casting specious aspersions on others because your ego is so tiny and bruised it is the only thing that gives a brief relief to your constant pain. You are brat who is a nothing, knows he will always be a nothing and that just kills you. Hence you continually berate others and spit on them.

    So there!

  29. Pie Guevara says:

Somehow I messed up the editing on my last post, oh well. I hate this system where a commenter cannot edit a post once made, or at least be able to examine a preview for editing before posting.

  30. Pie Guevara says:

    Adendum —

Chris : Why don’t you find out which party is defending the Confederate flag and which one isn’t, then get back to me with your “The Southern realignment never happened” bullish-t.

More fallacies and lies from the Great Left-wing Extremist Fool and Liar.

Chris’ implication in both of his asinine statements is Republican party racism : That the racist the Republican party is for flying a Confederate battle flag (the Army of Northern Virginia battle flag) and that the Southern Realignment of 1968 to the Republican party is based on Republican appeal to racism. He prefers not to make any explicit statement because he is a coward and mistakenly thinks that this lends him some “plausible deniability” giving him weasel-word room.

First of all, neither party is defending the Army of Northern Virginia battle flag though some members in each may do so. For those politicians defending it is likely a freedom of speech and/or a southern pride/history issue.

The South Carolina Senate and Assembly are both held by Republican majorites. The resolution was passed by voice vote so, obviously there had to be plenty of Republican ayes.

Of course I have never said that the “Southern Realignment” of 1968 never happened. Lying comes easy to Chris and it is my observation that all left-wing extremists like him are born liars.

I am quite familiar with the subject and do not buy into the self-serving and bigoted Democratic party false narrative that it was based in racism. There were many factors, but no doubt a rebuke of LBJ played a part as well as some racism. A major factor influencing the start of the realignment was the election Republican President Nixon. I won’t go into a long list of other factors.

Also it should be noted that it was strong majorities of Republican legislators who helped to pass the civil right acts of the late 1960s.

    The Civil Rights Act, 1964
    House Democrats 61% yea
    House Republicans 80% yea
    Senate Democrats 69% yea
    Senate Republicans 82% yea

    The Voting Rights Act, 1965
    House Democrats 78% yea
    House Republicans 82% yea
    Senate Democrats 73% yea
    Senate Republicans 84% yea

The Civil Rights Act of 1968 also passed with significant help from the Republican party but I cannot find the vote break down by party at the moment.

Since Republicans were significant in passing these acts, why would that be a large incentive for southern racists to start voting Republican? Chris’ implication that racism was a significant factor in the realignment is just plain left-wing propaganda nonsense. It doesn’t hold water.

Chris, you are a vile bigot, and a stupid and ill informed one at that. You are also an unrepentant serial liar. I am not a white nationalist racist and neither is Coulter. Please be so kind as to drop dead as soon as possible. I am through with you for now you despicable worm.

  31. Chris says:

I’m only going to respond to one thing above, and then I don’t plan on engaging with or talking about Pie Guevara again.

“Coulter was using an abused and often exaggerated by the left term (genocide) as a rhetorical device, you nitwit.”

Note that this is completely different from, and contradictory to, your earlier defense of Coulter’s “genocide” statements:

“That is not “racist” it is stating facts. That was the whole point.”

So which is it? Was Coulter stating a “fact” when she said that immigration amounted to white genocide, or was she being facetious and satirical by using a term she believes is overused by the left?

The answer is, “whatever argument Pie feels is more convincing at the moment.” Unfortunately, neither argument is even the least bit convincing to any rational person.

But as you can see from his disturbingly unhinged rants, Pie Guevara is not a rational person.

  32. Libby says:

Some federal agent contributed his firearm. You don’t think this significant? I do.

If the one doofus hadn’t provided the other doofus access to a firearm (he apparently did not know how to use), you all could have spent the last 33 posts doing something more constructive.

    • Jack says:

Hi Libby, yes, this is a disturbing fact. How in the heck did the suspect steal the agent’s pistol?

      • Jack says:

Okay, I found the story. Looks like the weapon was secured in a locked vehicle while the BLM agent was in SF on business. It was immediately reported as stolen. The BLM agent must have felt it necessary to leave his weapon in his locked car in the parking garage because of his business meeting…but, who knows for sure?

The important thing is to place the blame where it belongs the most. Who is most responsible for the murder? Not the victim of the car burglary. It was the guy who pulled the trigger and shot the female.

Why was the killer here in the first place? Because of the SF’s sanctuary policy! The felon was free on the street to commit crimes. He was a 5 time felon and an illegal alien who had been deported numerous times. Why wasn’t he turned over to ICE after his last arrest? Apparently he would have been had it not been for SF’s stupid and dangerous illegal sanctuary policy. THEY HAD NO LEGAL RIGHT TO BE A SANCTUARY CITY. THIS IS ILLEGAL! THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED BY THE FEDS FOR CONSPIRACY TO COMMENT A FELONY or worse! Stupid, stupid, stupid…a whole city government filled with doofuses (aka liberals) and liberals within the federal government who refused to follow the law.

  33. bob says:

Clearly Lopez-Sanchez cannot be held responsible for this killing. 1) He FOUND a loaded gun that belonged to a FEDERAL AGENT (!) 2) Out of childish curiosity he picked it up and aimed it at some SEA LIONS (!)
    3) At this point the gun began FIRING ITSELF WITHOUT LOPEZ TOUCHING THE TRIGGER (!)
    4) The girl got in the way of this hard-working, family-loving undocumented citizen and foolishly caused her own death (!)
It is PURE RACISM to hold Lopez responsible in any way for this tragic incident. As an undocumented citizen his every word is absolute truth and he must be released immediately!

And I know this is all true because Chris told me, so there!

  34. bob says:

And you are all racists for not addressing this honorable undocumented citizen as SENOR Lopez-Sanchez. However, so long as you self deport back to Europe you will be forgiven, gringos.

  35. Peggy says:

#30 Pie, thanks for reading and commenting on my post. My “Irish” has been up for days listening to TV and reading articles blaming the mayor and sheriff of SF for letting this guy go when it is Moonbeam and the state democrat legislators who wrote the bill and signed it into law back in 2013.

I haven’t heard anyone hold Brown or the democrats in Sacramento accountable for anything. They, in my opinion, have the most blood on their hands for the young woman’s death and all of the crimes committed by illegal immigrants let go in the state to comply with the Trust Act mandates.

This would liken to holding a secretary accountable for doing what her boss ordered her too. How about holding the boss/governor and the administrative team/legislators accountable?

I can only guess it is the media who is once again not reporting on this or they just don’t know about the Trust Act. To remedy this I emailed it every conservative news program on TV and radio, and posted it on every FaceBook news feed related article for the past two days. We’ll see if it appears in the next few days or if it remains another lie by omission.

With Butte county on the mandated to comply list I find it hard to believe our sheriff would comply, and wonder if our mayor and chief of police would.

  36. Chris says:

Huh? Bob, I think Lopez is making up the story entirely, it doesn’t make any sense.

  37. Peggy says:

    Also great article Pie.

Really liked this quote from Harry Reid.

“Our borders have overflowed with illegal immigrants placing tremendous burdens on our criminal justice system, schools and social programs. The Immigration and Naturalization Service needs the ability to step up enforcement. “Our federal wallet is stretched to the limit by illegal aliens getting welfare, food stamps, medical care and other benefits often without paying any taxes. “Safeguards like welfare and free medical care are in place to boost Americans in need of short-term assistance. These programs were not meant to entice freeloaders and scam artists from around the world.”

    He added this Trumpesque line:

“Even worse, Americans have seen heinous crimes committed by individuals who are here illegally.”

    And absolutely loved this one.

Remember, this is at a time when the illegal alien population was just 3-4 million, and the fiscal and criminal cost incurred by this country was a fraction of what it is today.
On September 20, Reid delivered a riveting speech on the Senate floor covering every talking point Jeff Sessions, Steve King, and Donald Trump have ever mentioned – and then some. [Congressional Record, page s11999] His speech was prophetic and ahead of its time, warning of the ill effects of both illegal immigration and unbridled legal immigration on our criminal justice system, education, hospitals, welfare, and culture. Reid cited an observation from Bob Dole that “wherever he travels around the country, he is confronted with concern about the direction of the policy of immigration as it relates to the United States.” And Reid added, “these are not racist people who are raising this issue.”

Someone should send Mr. Reid a thank you note for agreeing that those who are concerned about the affects illegal immigrants are having on our country does not mean we are racist.

You get a gold star, happy face, A+ for that great find.

  38. Peggy says:

    Darn Libby is back.

I guess she missed this vital information due to her limited reading to obtain the facts.

Hey Libs, the gun was stolen out of the federal agents car just days before Lopez-Sanchez killed that young woman. I’ll bet it was locked in his car because he was in “gun free zone” and not allowed to take it with him.

Federal agent’s gun stolen from car before San Francisco pier killing:

“The accused killer in a San Francisco woman’s murder used a gun stolen from a federal agent’s car, according to reports.

A Bureau of Land Management agent reported that the .40-caliber pistol was taken during a vehicle break-in days before 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle was gunned down on a city pier, multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday.

Suspected shooter Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, 45, previously told ABC 7 he discovered the weapon wrapped in a shirt by a bench near Pier 14.

The Bureau of Land Management claims the gun was stolen on June 27 while the agent was on business, CNN reported.

Four days later, Lopez-Sanchez allegedly fired the fatal shots that struck Steinle as she walked with her father.”

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fed-agent-gun-stolen-car-san-fran-pier-killing-article-1.2286154

I’ll even bet the shirt it was wrapped in belonged to Lopez-Sanchez and it was on his body.

  39. Chris says:

Peggy, Reid’s comments were nothing like Trump’s. How can you compare this:

“Even worse, Americans have seen heinous crimes committed by individuals who are here illegally.”

    To this:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

And not see the very clear differences?

Trump’s statements weren’t even factually correct. Mexico isn’t “sending” anyone, and his words to the contrary would obviously hurt diplomacy under a Trump presidency. And his overgeneralized statement that “They’re rapists,” followed by “And some, I assume, are good people” implies that the majority of illegal immigrants are criminals and rapists, while a smaller number are good people. That is completely unconnected to any kind of reality; the vast majority of illegal immigrants do not commit crimes while here.

No one is saying it is racist to express concerns about immigration. But even if you think Trump had a valid point somewhere in there, he expressed it in the stupidest, most offensive and belligerent way possible, because that is what he does. He’s an inarticulate buffoon who belongs nowhere near any seat of power. This is a guy who picks Twitter fights with sitcom writers where the best he can do is call his opponents “losers,” and some Republicans actually want him to be president? That’s embarassing.

    • Post Scripts says:

Chris, everyone but you and the rest of the Obama worshipers understand Trump’s words were unclear to his intent addressing the crimes committed by those crossing our border illegally who raped and murdered those who were also crossing our border. He miss spoke, so what. You know what he meant, but you’ll go to your grave fighting to hold him accountable for his exact words. While you’ll justify anything said by your liberal side claiming their intent and not what they said. We all get it Chris. You have different standards for those you agree with and those you don’t.

The good thing is there are more who don’t agree with you than do. There are more who are able to understand a man’s attempt to say what he intended while under the blaring lights with millions of people watching than those who try to hold him for not being perfect.

He’s gaining popularity because he’s reminding people of a group of men who were willing to say in writing, “We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.”

Trump has said he doesn’t care about his money, he cares about this country. Like him or not when we all know today’s politician goes to Washington to get rich, here’s a man who is willing to go broke for his country.

Trump is not my choice for president, but you’d have to be a fool to not understand this man is committed when every day some major company announces they are cancelling contracts and pulling out of deals. And his come back is always he doesn’t care, the country is more important.

Show me any candidate or current political leader willing to take that stand. You can’t because they don’t exist. If we had just one now or in the past this country wouldn’t be in it’s current mess.

  44. Pie Guevara says:

Re #35 Chris: Oh for crying out loud! Dear booby prize wining English major moron, my second comment is not a contradiction of the first, it is an elaboration and extension.

Sheesh, for an English major you are really quite confused by English. And here I thought I could not be anymore disgusted by you. You are dumber than a bag of door knobs.

  45. Pie Guevara says:

Addendum to my last comment above:

I wasn’t going to respond to the English major booby prize winner any more in this thread but #35 required a response.

Chris, who mistakenly and laughably touts his superior intellect and command of logic, commits several glaring basic formal and and informal logical fallacies. His assertions and rebuttals often take on the pattern of fallacious noted here. I have been here before with Chris on multiple occasions and he always denies he is fallacious and rebuts by committing even more fallacious nonsense. When it comes to logic, the man is a thug who beats reason to a pulp and leaves it for dead.

    Fallacy List —
    False premise
    False dichotomy
    Ad hominem
Affirming the Consequent (A form of false syllogism)
    Argument from fallacy

    False premise (Assertion 1)
Chris: Note that this is completely different from, and contradictory to

    False dichotomy (Assertion 2)
Chris : So which is it? Was Coulter stating a “fact” when she said that immigration amounted to white genocide, or was she being facetious and satirical by using a term she believes is overused by the left?

    Ad hominem (False conclusion)
Chris : Pie Guevara is not a rational person.

    Affirming the Consequent
    Assertion 1) False premise
    Assertion 2) False dichotomy
False conclusion in the form of ad hominem

Argument from fallacy in this particular case takes a similar pattern.
    Assertion 1) False premise
    Assertion 2) False dichotomy
False conclusion in the form of ad hominem

Note that in Affirming the Consequent the assertions need not be false.
In the argument from fallacy only one assertion need be fallacious to reach a fallacious conclusion.

I cognizantly commit multiple fallacies often when responding to Chris because just about every argument and rebuttal he makes is riddled with them. For me it is a form of entertainment. Chris, however, is so full of himself he is completely oblivious to and in complete denial of all the fallacious garbage he spews. I find this amusing and so enjoy hammering this twit and insulting him like he insults others. When Chris touts his logical intelligence, trust me, he is an ideologically driven dunce.

Chris’ commits a couple other fallacies in #35 but I leave this to the reader to parse.

    Challenge! Name this logical fallacy.
Pond scum has little skill in classical rhetoric and logic.
Chris has little skill in classical rhetoric and logic.
    Chris is pond scum.

Bottom Line: Chris is a male Equus africanus asinus who thinks he is Pegasus.

  46. Pie Guevara says:

    Correction —

After a review I just realized that my Affirming the Consequent example is NOT a true Affirming the Consequent.

There may be a variant whose name escapes me. So strike the Affirming the Consequent example and stick with the Argument from fallacy.

  47. Chris says:

Peggy: “Chris, everyone but you and the rest of the Obama worshipers”

This is unfair. I am not an “Obama worshipper,” and have critiqued Obama here many times for things like his “if you like your plan” lie, his persecution of Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning, legalizing indefinite detention, his drone policy, and numerous other issues.

Furthermore, I did not even vote for Obama in 2012 due to my moral disgust at many of these policies–quite a feat for someone who allegedly “worships” the man.

Pretending that I am an “Obama worshipper” may be a convenient way to dismiss my arguments, but it isn’t true.

“understand Trump’s words were unclear to his intent addressing the crimes committed by those crossing our border illegally who raped and murdered those who were also crossing our border. He miss spoke, so what.”

Has Trump claimed that he misspoke? No. He’s been interviewed multiple times since this incident, and his interviewers have given him multiple chances to clarify his comments. He didn’t take any of these opportunities. Instead, he’s doubled down and claimed that he said exactly what he meant, in many cases repeating the same mistruths:

“In a July 8 interview with NBC, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump didn’t ease up his rhetoric about Mexican immigration — at all.

“The Mexican government forces many bad people into our country because they’re smart,” he told interviewer Katy Tur. “They’re smarter than our leaders, and their negotiators are far better than what we have, to a degree that you wouldn’t believe. They’re forcing people into our country. … And they are drug dealers and they are criminals of all kinds. We are taking Mexico’s problems.”

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/jul/09/donald-trump/donald-trump-says-mexican-government-forces-many-b/

This goes beyond “misspeaking.” Donald Trump really believes these dumb things. And he has absolutely no ability to ever admit when he’s said something wrong.

“While you’ll justify anything said by your liberal side claiming their intent and not what they said.”

Again, I’ve criticized liberal speakers and arguments here many times.

“We all get it Chris. You have different standards for those you agree with and those you don’t.”

    Untrue.

“He’s gaining popularity because he’s reminding people of a group of men who were willing to say in writing, “We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.””

Ah, yes, Donald Trump is truly just as articulate and noble. Why who can forget his equally powerful words, when he said:

“Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb — other than that I like her very much!…Rosie is back on the View which tells you how desperate they must be. It is the standard short term fix and long term disaster.”

Truly the inspiring words of a great leader.

“Trump has said he doesn’t care about his money, he cares about this country.”

How many times did he say “I’m really rich” in his announcement?

“Like him or not when we all know today’s politician goes to Washington to get rich, here’s a man who is willing to go broke for his country.”

He’s willing to go broke for ATTENTION, Peggy.

Really, that’s all Trump cares about. And it’s so obvious. I mean, there are scam artists, and then there are people like Trump who don’t even try to look respectable or convincing. I’m really amazed anyone could be gullible enough to believe that Trump is doing what he’s doing out of patriotism, rather than a lust for the spotlight.

We are not through with them

  49. Chris says:

    Larry, you seem fun.

  50. Tina says:

Chris: “Donald Trump really believes these dumb things.”

    Dumb? How would you know?

This is a country filled with corruption, a large poor population, a sluggish economy, criminals, cartels, and a monopolistic system. The neighbor to the north offers jobs, benefits, and education, and jails. Encouraging citizens to migrate North means the US citizen will pay for all of that instead of the Mexican government. They aren’t stupid! And a weak, ignorant president massaging a new voter block is all for it.

A 2012 report from The Daily Caller reveals this has been going on for some time.

America has been very foolish with immigration policy and flat out stupid when it comes to criminals sneaking across the border again and again.

  51. Chris says:

Tina: “Dumb? How would you know?”

Because it’s even too dumb for the Center for Immigration Studies, according to the Politifact article I linked to:

“No, the Mexican government doesn’t force anyone to move here illegally, though it certainly doesn’t object,” added Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that favors low levels of immigration.

There are few anti-immigrant conspiracy theories Krikorian isn’t willing to embrace, but even he says Donald’s statement that Mexico is deliberately forcing their citizens to flee to America is nonsense. If it’s too dumb for him, it’s too dumb for you.

Conspiracy theories, unfounded accusations and extremism are killing your party. More importantly, they’re killing our nation’s ability to think critically and engage in rational, civil dialogue. You can do your part to turn it around.

  52. Tina says:

Chris quoting CIS, ““No, the Mexican government doesn’t force anyone to move here illegally…”

Who said anything about “forcing” them to come here illegally. The point is the benefits are a magnet and both countries are eager to help

Ever heard of word of mouth? Good news spreads fast.

Think, “encourage,” “assist,” or “help.” Embassies in Mexico and the US give them instructions on how to get food stamps and other forms of welfare. It’s being done under the guise of teaching about nutrition through th Department of Agriculture.

“Conspiracy theories, unfounded accusations and extremism are killing your party.”

Failure to notice what’s going on right under your nose, poor communication skills, arrogance, and “cruel” targeting and underhanded tactics are killing your party.

“More importantly, they’re killing our nation’s ability to think critically and engage in rational, civil dialogue. You can do your part to turn it around.”

Yep, pure arrogance! You heard “force” when clearly I wrote “encouraging,” while expressing the obvious incentives that are already apparent.

You can’t get the communication, nor think critically, because you’re too busy looking for excuses to label someone a nut case.

It would be good if we could discuss issues honestly but it’s impossible under these circumstances.

  53. Chris says:

Tina: “Who said anything about “forcing” them to come here illegally.”

    Donald Trump.

“Yep, pure arrogance! You heard “force” when clearly I wrote “encouraging,” while expressing the obvious”

You’re confused. I was clearly referring to Trump’s comments, not yours. Please look back at the chain of comments that led us here, starting with Comment #55.

  54. Tina says:

Okay Chris, lets then take a look at the entire quote and check it against what has happened in the last seven plus years to see what Trump was talking about in his remarks:

“The Mexican government forces many bad people into our country because they’re smart,” he told interviewer Katy Tur. “They’re smarter than our leaders, and their negotiators are far better than what we have, to a degree that you wouldn’t believe. They’re forcing people into our country. … And they are drug dealers and they are criminals of all kinds. We are taking Mexico’s problems.”

What are the salient points that back up Trumps assertion?

A.The Mexican government forces many bad people into our country because they are smart….smarter than ours.

    B. The Mexican negotiators are far better than what we have.

    C. They are drug dealers and criminals.

    D. We are taking Mexico’s problems.

What evidence of any of these assertions do we have? One at a time:

    A. Remember last year when it was discovered that thousands of unaccompanied kids were suddenly crossing our border? Mexico helped facilitate that surge with agreements that ignored American law and gave immigrants coming across their souther border a pass to travel to America. There are five steps to this program…follow the link to read all five.
    World Net Daily reports:

NEW YORK – Mexico and Guatemala have reached an agreement that is intended to make it easier and safer for Central Americans, including unaccompanied minors, to enter the United States illegally

Though largely unreported in the U.S. mainstream media, the two nations agreed on July 7, in a presidential-level meeting in Mexico, to make it legal and safe for Central American immigrants, including unaccompanied minors, to cross Mexico’s border with Guatemala and transit Mexico en route to the U.S. border at the Rio Grande.

The agreement apparently does not recognize that the result of such trips – entry into the United States – remains illegal.

But to facilitate the program, the Mexican government announced plans to issue a new “Regional Visitor Card” that will provide documentation for the Central Americans to remain in Mexico as long as it takes to get to the United States.

    B. Trump is saying the Mexican leaders live in the real world and are savvy while our leaders are wimpy PC idealists. We could be working with the Mexican government to do something about this but between the corruption in Mexico and lack of resolve in the US the opportunity doesn’t exist.

    C. The New American reported on the children crossing our border:

An internal summary of Border Patrol operations at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Nogales (Arizona) Placement Center stated that 16 unaccompanied immigrant children being held at the facility are members of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) transnational criminal gang.

The summary, which was obtained by the Townhall online magazine, noted that Border Patrol officials at Nogales were alerted to the MS-13 presence among the detainees when they discovered gang-related graffiti in the walls of the processing center. It stated:

Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) and Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs), assigned to The Nogales Placement Center (NPC), discovered that 16 unaccompanied alien children (13 El Salvadoran males, two Guatemalan males and one Honduran male) currently being held at the NPC are members of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13). The MS-13 gang members admitted to their gang associations following a discovery of graffiti at the NPC. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) were notified.

Cartels have established bases in the US. Breitbart reports on this bleeding of criminal activity to our cities:

“We pretend that the cartels don’t have an infrastructure in the U.S.,” Fulton Armstrong, and ex-CIA officer, told The Washington Post. “But you don’t do a $20 billion a year business . . . with ad-hoc, part-time volunteers. You use an established infrastructure to support the markets. How come we’re not attacking that infrastructure?”

The Sinaloa cartel, headed by Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, one of the most wanted men in the world, dominates the drug market. They are also the same cartel that received over 2,000 guns from the ATF in Operation Fast & Furious. The drugs are shipped to Los Angeles where cartels hide the drugs in trucks with other common goods and ship them to their destinations via major highways. Popular hubs include Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta, but the DEA estimates there are 1,286 cities on the distribution grid.

This is a result of Mexico’s failure to clean up the corruption that’s led to dangerous cartels establishing operations in Mexico. Their position is that American demand for product (Thank you drug users) drives this crime. Our open borders and loose, accommodating immigration and welfare policy facilitates the users and pushers. Sanctuary cities are part of this debacle. Mexico, perhaps rightly so, is only too happy to pass this problem on to the US.

Mexico’s negotiators are better than ours.

    D. We ARE taking Mexico’s problems as a result of all the above and more.

A smarter administration wouldn’t do so much to make sure criminals and huge numbers of migrants come into the country illegally.

The word forcing doesn’t have to mean that Mexico is rounding people up and shoving them across our borders.

Use of the word can and does mean that bad policy by Mexico and in the US is “forcing people into our country.”

I’m curious Chris, do you care more about nailing people by nit picking a word or do you care about the problem being discussed and the seriousness of the problem?

Your party has spent decades dismissing other points of view and discrediting their opinion with this tactic. That doesn’t encourage good debate which is vital to solving problems and it sure as heck isn’t a form of good communication.

  55. Chris says:

Tina, the World Net Daily article you linked to is written by Jerome Corsi, a birther and 9/11 truther who believes that the U.S. military is currently trying to initiate martial law in Texas and who has called MLK Jr. a “shakedown artist.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_Corsi#cite_note-7

Linking to this guy to support any position is unhelpful and irresponsible, and just makes the claim you were trying to support look even more like a conspiracy theory.

“A smarter administration wouldn’t do so much to make sure criminals and huge numbers of migrants come into the country illegally.”

Illegal immigration has decreased under Obama.

  56. Tina says:

Chris due to an error in posting the WND link takes you to a Spanish news outlet that I got to from a link at the WND article. It is source information and makes me wonder how you came to know who wrote the article.

If the information is accurate does it really matter who wrote about it? People are entitled to their opinions…even you.

You have a nasty habit of trying to discredit the subject matter by disparaging the writer or source. This is a well known tactic of the left. Avoid the truth in the information by changing the subject.

Your opinion of this man as irrelevant as your insistence that his reputation (With liberals) makes me “irresponsible” or that posting the information is “unhelpful.”

Your comment is unhelpful! Since you love to lecture me how about I return the favor. Your chosen party is filled with opinionated people with kookie ideas. The left leaning main stream media get it wrong 90% of the time when reporting on conservative ideas, policy and opinion. You source this information all of the time…what does that make you if not a willing participant in lies and distortions. Your tactic, as described above, makes you a willing participant in the left conspiracy to “fundamentally transform” this nation! Get off it!

  57. Chris says:

Tina: “Chris due to an error in posting the WND link takes you to a Spanish news outlet that I got to from a link at the WND article. It is source information and makes me wonder how you came to know who wrote the article.”

I googled one of the sentences in the quote after realizing the link was wrong. I thought about running the article through Google translate to see if Corsi’s interpretation was accurate, but didn’t have time. Still don’t. If you can link to an English article from a less crazy site that backs up Corsi’s allegations, I’ll be happy to read it.

“You have a nasty habit of trying to discredit the subject matter by disparaging the writer or source. This is a well known tactic of the left.”

No, this is a well known tactic of human beings–you literally just did this yourself when I cited Media Matters, so I’m not sure why you’re acting like this is purely a liberal tactic.
