Open Borders for Everyone!

by Jack Lee

openbordrs“There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant! We’re all illegals because everyone came here from somewhere else. The only reason white people are in control is because we stole this land by brute force from the native inhabitants.

If this was ISIS using war and occupation to control the local people we would be outraged, but when we do it nobody says a thing! The truth is, we have no more right to this land than the next person. If we believe that all human beings are free and equal then we should not have boundaries that restrict freedom and entrench inequality by force.”

This is the leftist argument for open borders and many people believe this garbage, but if they do, they are being intellectually shallow, I’ll stop short of saying they are stupid.

We have never lived in a perfect world…never!  Cultures great and small rise and fall all the time from war.  The lessons from history make kit clear if a culture is to endure they better have the ability to protect their borders from invasion!

War_darknes-lightDemocracies are a messy way of governing, but the pay off is in how their citizens thrive and prosper.   The downside is their success also made them a target for aggressive nations.

Borders, language and culture defined nations.   You lose any one of these components you’ve lost the nation.

Our ancestors didn’t come here to conquer anyone, they were not bent on violence, they came here to find freedom and to develop their own unique culture with the freedoms only a democracy can provide.   Unfortunately, their arrival resulted in a culture clash with the indigenous tribes, then it led to war and the Indians lost.   Today’s open border advocates use this to undermine our land ownership and to have a controlled border.  Sorry, but the world is an imperfect place.  We were not the first people to displace an indigenous people. Further, it would be would be hard to find an Indian tribe that had not taken their land from another tribe.  Neither side holds the moral high ground. However, unlike our culture Indians engaged in raids and wars against neighboring tribes…we turned to more civilized remedies to settle disputes.

ScalpingofJaneMcCrea

The demise of the Indians and the rise of the colonies is an old story that has been repeated through human history.  So, there’s really no point in dwelling on the right or wrong of it.   It’s over and we’re not going to return the State of New York to the Iroquois and Erie Indians or the State of Delaware to the Delaware Indians. And if we did, do you think those Indians are going to return it to the Indians they displaced?   This is just another fallacious egalitarian argument used to promote open borders. Now fast forward to modern times….

America’s founders established a peaceful and stable society, where the rights of the individual would be protected by the rule of law.   The freedom and moral principles we embrace, as reflected in the Bill of Rights and our Constitution, have united disparate peoples in a common bond and set a standard for the world to follow.   I think its fair to say our success has generally been a good influence on the world too. We’ve made a considerable investment in improvements here and abroad and we deserve the right to protect what we’ve built and what we can offer the world.

Along the way a lot of patriots have died protecting our liberty, but its allowed us to be a beacon of freedom for those seeking change in their homeland or to immigrate here and join us.  So, who knows what great things are in our future…if we can keep it going. To do that we need to protect our borders, language and culture.

The following five points below underscore the need for controlled immigration.  It was by a first generation American, a political science professor, Arash Abizadeh.  He sums up the risks from open borders like this:

“Given the current levels of global economic inequality, if industrialized liberal democratic regimes were to open their borders, the sheer volume of the consequent levels of immigration could overwhelm the capacity of the society to cope, leading to chaos and a breakdown of public order.

Second, given current global inequalities, rich industrialized countries with open borders could witness such a great number of poor immigrants that their economies would collapse.

Third, open borders might precipitate letting in large numbers of immigrants who, regardless of their political values, are so culturally different from current citizens that their presence in large numbers would threaten liberal states’ capacity democratically to effect socio-political integration.

Fourth, open borders might let in large numbers of immigrants who harbored subversive political intentions or who were fundamentally anti-liberal in outlook, and whose presence would threaten the survival of domestic liberal democratic institutions.

Fifth, even if countries’ liberal democratic institutions and industrial economies survived, their capacity to sustain a welfare state of any sort might either collapse completely, or at least compromise the state’s capacity to fulfill putative special responsibilities to its own current citizens (or residents). There is simply no rational argument for free mobility (open borders) that would warrant placing at risk a successful society’s cultural values, wealth, progress and future security. This is why border security and immigration laws exist in all countries and it should continue until the world is near perfect.

The next time you hear someone calling for weak or open borders, feel free to use this information.

In support of your article have you seen what is going on in Europe with the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees?

President Obama has overseen our nation for nearly seven full years. The world has changed significantly since he was elected in 2008 and not in a good way. His weak ineffective posture and policy on foreign relations, immigration, and the war have created a more dangerous world and chaos and death at home and for the nations of the Europe.

The influx of refugees in Europe:

The United Nations has been forced to consider establishing refugee holding centres in north Africa and the Middle East due to the spiralling numbers of migrants attempting perilous journeys across the Mediterranean in a desperate effort to reach Europe.

The UN’s refugee agency, UNHCR, has said for the first time that the large-scale processing of migrants and refugees outside Europe, in countries such as Egypt, Libya or Sudan, may be necessary as frontline authorities claim they have been abandoned by Brussels in the face of a “colossal humanitarian catastrophe”.

Hundreds of thousands of people are preparing to make treacherous crossings on unseaworthy vessels from the north African coast to Greece and Italy as this summer’s “boat season” gets under way, say officials. Figures for the first few months of this year already show a dramatic increase on previous years.

The numbers are astounding and will spell disaster for Europe:

Greece has become the main gateway to Europe for tens of thousands of refugees and economic migrants, mainly Syrians fleeing war, as fighting in Libya has made the alternative route from north Africa to Italy increasingly dangerous. Nearly 130,000 people have arrived since January on the eastern Aegean Sea islands from nearby Turkey — a 750 percent increase over last year.

See also the numbers in the US:

Up to 10,000 Syrian refugees, most of them Muslims, will be resettled in cities throughout the U.S. in 2015, with that figure expected to surge to near 75,000 over the next five years.

While some of the planned destinations for these refugees are starting to leak out, the big question is: where will they be going?

The U.S. State Department does not announce where it plans to send foreign refugees for resettlement within the United States, although the locations do eventually show up in a government database some weeks after they arrive in their host cities. Word of their anticipated arrivals will sometimes surface earlier in local media reports.

And that’s already happening in North Dakota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio and Washington.

In America this number is in addition to the surge of children welcomed with open arms by the administration and the millions of illegal entry migrants that have come across our southern border:

Estimates of the size of the illegal alien population currently living in the U.S. range from about 12 million to over 20 million. The lower number is based on Census Bureau estimates of the foreign-born population in various Census Bureau surveys. The larger number is based on methodology that is not reliant on a respondent’s candor… it is virtually impossible to get an accurate count of populations who are resistant to being identified. Given the problem of porous borders and incentives to avoid detection, the higher estimate is not unreasonable.

Predictions of the complete collapse of European economies as nations try to cope with the expense and shortage of servises:

But the problems run far deeper than the harrowing images of shipwrecks and body bags on European docks. As the number of asylum applicants soars, a European system put in place over decades to process, house and absorb people fleeing war and persecution is unraveling.

President Obama underestimated himself when he said he would “fundamentally transform” America…looks like he’s managed to transform the entire world!

America cannot be far behind, regardless our size and past strength.

Deliver us from radical Democrats with delusional fantasies..and failures in carrying out the duties of office and working in the best interests of America and America’s military.

Great article Jack! The world cannot sustain borders at this rate…just what the elites wanted all along. Who will be the first to call for need of the world governance?

And then there are the Christian being denied visas to the US.

Mideast archbishops see US discrimination against Christian refugees in grant of visas:

“Catholic archbishops from Iraq and Syria are speaking out in defence of displaced Christians who are having a difficult time in applying for US visas to enable them to escape persecution in their own country and settle in a new land, such as the US, where they can freely practice their faith.

Chaldean Archbishop Bashar Warda of Erbil, Iraq, and Melkite Archbishop Jean-Clément Jeanbart of Aleppo, Syria, spoke recently at the Knights of Columbus 2015 Convention press conference in Philadelphia, describing the plight of Christians in the Middle East, according to the Catholic News Agency.

They said they found out from official US government sources that since October last year, 906 Muslim refugees from Syria have been granted US visas. However, out of the 700,000 displaced Christians from Syria who applied for a US visa during the same period, only 28 succeeded in getting one.

The archbishops said the apparent discrimination against Christians in the granting of US visas might not have reached the attention yet of the White House, but they said this is clearly a case of injustice.

“Our people are asking these questions: How come we apply for the American visa and are denied?” Archbishop Warda said. “This is a clear case of persecution. They’re being denied visas while others who have participated (in the violence) or at least were silent can go.”

Glenn Beck Vows to Walk Christian Refugees from the Middle East Across Mexican Border Into U.S.:

“Glenn Beck was furious on Friday when Johnnie Moore, author of “Defying ISIS: Preserving Christianity in its Place of Birth and in Your Own Backyard,” said that victims of Middle East persecution are being denied entry to the United States. Most of the victims being denied are Christian, Moore said, even though Christianity is at risk of being eradicated in the region.

“Just four years ago in Syria, there were 2 million Christians. There are only 400,000 left,” Moore said on Beck’s radio program. “And a city like Aleppo has the largest Christian population left in the Middle East. It’s surrounded by terrorists. It’s only a matter of time. We’ve been begging. We’ve been pleading. So, frankly, we just don’t have enough time.”

  4. Pie Guevara says:

“The freedom and moral principles we embrace as reflected in the Bill of Rights and our Constitution, have united disparate peoples in a common bond and set a standard for the world to follow.”

And that is why they come here illegally. To paraphrase “bob”, more than half of all legal and illegal immigrants are on welfare.

We already have a no boarders policy thanks to Obama, the Rat party, and like minded elitist members of the GOP. Good job ladies and gentleman.

  5. Tina says:

“The freedom and moral principles we embrace as reflected in the Bill of Rights and our Constitution, have united disparate peoples in a common bond and set a standard for the world to follow.”

This is why some cross our border illegally. This is why most come here legally. Both assimilate.

Some cross our birders illegally with no intention of remaining. They come for the opportunity our freedom and rights have given us but their loyalties lie with country, and they take/send the money back home.

All of the above require an immigration system that works.

Those who come here for the goodies they can get and do nothing to contribute or are criminals/terrorists require an immigration system that works but also a law enforcement and justice system that works.

When the latter is compromised and when our economy is kept bumping along the bottom it’s much harder to manage immigration effectively and resentments are more likely to surface.

We need policies that discourage illegal immigration.

We need policies that support effective border contro.

We need policies that create growth in the economy.

We need to reform our immigration system to make it easier to obtain work visas.

We need to make our position clear so that everyone is aware of the rules and knows there will be stern consequences for breaches…then we need to follow through.

    Here’s a thought folks:

Pass a flat tax and get rid of 95 percent of the out-of-control IRS. Put all of those out-of-work IRS agents on the border (let them sweat a little for a change) and arm them with AK-47s, stun guns or whatever. Just put them to work doing something productive for a change.

Are the people frustrated and angry with our bloated tyrannical government or what!

  6. Dewey says:

So a wall on the southern border and a wall on the northern border all regulated by the government? Yep that’s freedom and liberty for sure.
