Obama’s Executive Order Heads to Supreme Court for Review

by Jack

In November of last year President Obama issued an executive order that blocked a federal law that required several million illegal aliens be deported. In doing so the president may have broken the law because his oath of office requires him to faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States. This means upholding the laws of the land and protecting the Constitution of the United States. By blocking a Constitutional federal law enacted to protect our sovereign borders from intruders, President Obama has undermined the Constitution, so says 17 states that have formed a coalition and they are taking this all the way to the supreme court.

President’s Oath: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Obama’s order of Nov. 2oth extended protection from deportation and the right to work to an estimated 4.1 million illegal aliens because they had so-called anchor babies in the U.S. which gives those children dual citizenship. However, the anchor baby concept is the rare exception and not the rule among modern western nations. Many conservatives believe it should be overturned because it is encouraging illegal immigration and adding to financial burdens placed on the citizens of the United States. That concern is also reflected in the language of the suit brought by Greg Abbott the Texas Attorney General. He states this lawsuit raises two major objections: that Obama violated the “Take Care Clause” of the U.S. Constitution — which Texas A/G Abbott said limits the scope of presidential power — and that the order will “exacerbate the humanitarian crisis along the southern border, which will affect increased state investment in law enforcement, health care and education.”

A/G Abbott said it’s up to the president to “execute the law, not de facto make law.” Texas filed the suit as the lead plaintiff.

Who are we to question our emperor?

Obammie’s been to 57 states in this county. I didn’t even know there were 57 states.

We ALL have to hope that SCOTUS will apply the Constitution correctly this time instead of their past performances with Obumblecare . . . . .
If they don’t, our nation of laws will a thing of the past and we’ll have a Dictator-in-Chief.

People that have come here illegally and remained illegally are placing a terrible burden on states to provide services. The office of president does have purview over immigration issues but unfunded government mandated programs are causing real problems for the governors. That’s not right. Should the president use his power to affect immigration when he lacks the power of the purse? In my mind he’s abused his authority. He has thumbed his nose at the law and the governors.

I don’t have much faith in the SC to correct this situation either.

    I hope I’m wrong.

Just a reminder the next president will be replacing 3-4 SC judges. We need to have a real conservative in the Oval Office.

Check out the conservative comparison of Republican presidential candidates on the issues. Only one candidate has all green dotes and one yellow. And he has a 97% score with only Mike Lee above him with 100%.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is attempting to fast track a “war powers” bill that will allow President Obama nearly unlimited power to deploy the military anywhere in the world for any length of time – including on U.S. soil.

Thanks, Mitch! Gotta love them RepuBlowCons. Just proves DemoNRat or RepuBlowCon, they are just different wings of the same corrupt, evil bird of prey.

Since we’re talking about Washington DC it’s good that Alex Jones brought attention to the worst possible scenario, however we don’t need to panic yet.

The move by McConnel may be purely symbolic or it might be a sincerely issued signal that Republicans want to run Congress as it should be run, particularly in preparation for the possibility of a republican president and a republican held Congress. Issues should be discussed and decided by the whole Senate, not behind closed doors.

Whatever is going on this move is just a first step and it’s a step without a blue print. According to the article linked to in the infowars article, the President hasn’t sent over a plan that either democrats or republicans accept. According to the article, “the process McConnell used to set up the AUMF, known as “Rule XIV,” merely sets up the authorization for a future vote, but does not put it on the calendar…”

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn. ““I don’t think we should be afraid of that debate, but we need a coherent strategy from the president which we still don’t have and we also don’t need to tie the hands of the next president by restricting what the president can do.”

President Obama continues to put the Congress in a corner with their hands tied. He then blames them for inaction. This is the best they can do as long as he fails to send a “coherent strategy.”

Some of them are rats and demons; some of them would like to do the right thing. We won’t be able to sort them out until this president’s term ends. Even then we don’t have control, only the people who send them there do.

Obama only serves the people on issues that won’t interfere with his fundamental transformation. He works with congress when it suits him. If he really wanted authorization he’d develop a strategy. Why should he do that when he’s currently doing just fine as is.

We need a president that will lead. November can’t come soon enough…on a wish and a prayer.

Bob and Tina, why are you relying on the word of Alex Jones, who believes that George W. Bush personally orchestrated 9/11?

Do you have ANY standards at all when it comes to who you will listen to, or do you just blindly follow anyone who tells you about a threat to conservatism, no matter how unreal that threat actually is?

  7. Tina says:

    Thanks for sharing, Chris.
