DHS Whistleblower: Deleted Records Related to Orlando and San Bernardino Security Failures Point to Greater Failures of Obama Administration in Terror Fight

Posted by Tina

Former Homeland Security officer Phillip Haney told Fox News that he believes the attacks in San Bernardino and Orlando could have been thwarted if the records he compiled on Muslims with terror ties had not been deleted by the Department of Homeland Security:

Haney told Hannity he discovered that the mosque where Omar Mateen worshipped was connected to the same network as the mosque where Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik worshipped.

“Farook would have been put on the no-fly list and not allowed to travel, or his pending fiancee would have been denied a visa because of his affiliation with an organization with plausible ties to terrorism,” he said.

He affirmed to Sean Hannity that it was “a fair statement” that the Obama Administration wiped out the work that could have saved American lives.

The President created walls between those who do security work and terrorists. He purged what he considered inflammatory words from training manuals upon entering office. Now we learn that he also had files purged that would have alerted the FBI, possibly allowing them to thwart at least two major domestic terrorists attacks. This information begs the question, “What more has this president ordered that has compromised the safety of innocent people here and around the world?”

Is it a coincidence that a month after San Bernardino Obama’s DHS Secretary, Jeh Johnson told advisors that right-wing extremists are “just as real as the threat from Islamic extremism?” Is it a coincidence that following the Orlando attack the left and left media target the right as the bigger threat to America?

What kind of person (group) thinks like that? Who conflates the supposed right-wing “threat” with the monsters that have flown planes into buildings, beheaded journalists and “infidels,” attacked people on the streets with bombs, knives, and swords, thrown gays off buildings, sentenced men who were “dancing like girls” to 12,000 lashes, set people on fire in cages, mutilated little girls, trafficked women to use as sex objects, taught children to kill and hate, targeted people of other religious beliefs for total annihilation, and used social media to recruit, spew hate and itimidate? WHO DOES THAT?

Democrats in this nation do that. they do it boldly and loudly.

This administration has done everything it can to silence people in the fight against Muslim terrorists. This administration has failed to adequately address the dangers to the world that ISIS represents. He acts more as an enabler posing as a commander-in-chief.

I predict there will be more whistle blowers as the summer comes upon us and we head into the Fall election. Anyone who cares about the future of this nation and has information like this must speak up. The people need to know just how badly Obama and his party have failed this nation.

  1. Libby says:

You really are wrapped up in some gory imagery, Tina. What is that about?

I looked up Mr Haney. He’s been at this a while now, wrote an open letter to
Congress back in December. The major outlets probably looked into it at the time.

I remember the fuss about the San Bernardino social media accounts not being looked into. I remember being surprised. I had thought our organs of state security were all into everybody’s business without compunctions. Is this part of that?

He owns that his retirement was not quite voluntary. So he’s got an axe to grind. I dunno. Call me when some outlet not a member of the rabid right picks it up.

I did get curious about the women’s school. The woman in charge has a western education, and doesn’t seem to be turning out suicide bombers, but she is a fervent fundamentalist. “Husband is your Imam.”

Ick. But it sounds familiar, don’t it? … Tina?

When is the book on those two coming out? One got the impression, from what I’m not sure, that she was the driver in that little enterprise.

Tina: “Now we learn that he also had files purged that would have alerted the FBI, possibly allowing them to thwart at least two major domestic terrorists attacks”

Well, you didn’t “learn” that. You were told it, and you believe it because you want to. But like Libby, I can’t find any verification of Haney’s claims.

As for why anyone would claim right-wing extremists are as big a threat to Americans as Muslim terrorists: they say it because it’s true. Since 2002, more Americans have been killed by right-wing extremists than Muslim terrorists. (This makes sense. There are more right-wingers than Muslims in America, so it follows there would be more right-wing extremists than Muslim extremists in America.

I understand this changes if you factor in 9/11, but because that one event killed so many, and nothing like it has happened since, it seems sensible to leave it out of the analysis. And you yourself left it out of the equation today when you said “Bush kept us safe for seven years,” so if it’s not relevant to your analysis of Bush’s presidency, why is it relevant to our analysis of the relative threats of right-wing extremism and Muslim extremism? I brought this up the other day but you rejected it out of hand. What is your actual explanation for this seeming double standard?

“” Is it a coincidence that following the Orlando attack the left and left media target the right as the bigger threat to America?”

Stop. You are, once again, doing exactly what you accuse your opponents of doing.

No one is saying “the right” is a threat. We are saying right wing extremists are a threat. Just like when you say Muslim extremists are a threat, you are not saying “Muslims” are a threat. (Though proposing banning all Muslim immigration contradicts that idea.) Why can’t you get this? You constantly argue that you and conservatives are not engaging in generalizations of all Muslims (even though you sometimes do) but when someone says something about a right-wing extremist, you are the first to cry “Bigots! Not all right wingers!”

This is a self-centered attitude; you are hyper-sensitive about perceived generalizations toward your in-group, but totally insensitive about generalizations toward the out-group. Another word for this is “projection.” It’s normal, human behavior, but efforts should be made to reduce it.

  3. J. Soden says:

We’ve had “editing” from State, from the IRS, from HHS, and even from the white house when Josh Earnest’s comments were edited. Why is it not surprising that DHS is doing the same????
Is the Obumble admin trying for the Best Editing Oscar next time around??
