Two enterprising young ladies in Dallas, 12-year-old Lauren Roach and 11-year-old Landry Nelon. “felt bad for the victims families” after the shootings in their city. They decided if they had a lemonade stand they might be able to raise some money to contribute. After some early success they thought they might be able to donate $100.00, a mighty sum for a couple of preteens. As the day wore on the two actually raised $10,000.00. Landry Nelon summed up their efforts well, “We just really feel that every little penny counted.”

Lauren’s proud mom Tracey Roach summed up the sentiment of those who stopped by, “They didn’t want lemonade, they didn’t want anything, just giving them 20s, 50s, you name it, just giving money. And everybody saying, ‘Back the blue, back the blue, we support Dallas, we support families, help Dallas become a better place.'”

The American spirit is alive and well in a couple of entrepreneurial preteens with great big hearts…good for them…good for America!

  1. Libby says:

And the NAACP has crowd sourced $100,000 toward protestor bail. We are indeed all in this together.

  2. Pie Guevara says:

Interesting contrast in priorities between Tina and Libby. Priorities between caring, concerned, good hearted pre-teen citizens and adults with a political agenda backing criminals under arrest.

    • Harold says:

Yes, Pie, there a large difference, Makes you ponder the question, to whom Libby might have contributed too.

Providing of course it was someone else’s money.

    • Libby says:

Not criminals … protesters of profound injustice.

The NAACP does not bail the rock and bottle throwers. They’re on they’re own.

Riddle: When is a political agenda a diabolical thing? When it’s not your political agenda.

      • Harold says:

Libby suggests: “We are indeed all in this together”

Protesters are subject to arrest and trial, when they do not obey the authorities requests.

You want togetherness, let them stay in the same cell together, where as bail just frees them to spread more hatred.

      • Tina says:

        Profound?

        What exactly has happened?

  3. J. Soden says:

A big round of applause for Roach and Nelon!!!!! Well done, ladies!!!!!
