   Conservative Review:

   In a prescient piece dated August 12, 2005, the German Spiegel reviewed the work of Jordanian journalist Fouad Hussein, a man who embedded himself among Al Qaeda’s top leaders, among other jihadists, and turned his correspondence with such Islamic terrorists into a book “al-Zarqawi – al-Qaida’s Second Generation.”…

   In the book, the title of which refers to slain Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Hussein asserts based on his findings that Al Qaeda has developed a 7 step, 20-year plan for Islamic domination, culminating with “definitive victory” by 2020.

   Here are the Fourth through Sixth phases of the plan as paraphrased by the Spiegel:

   The Fourth Phase Between 2010 and 2013, Hussein writes that al-Qaida will aim to bring about the collapse of the hated Arabic governments. The estimate is that “the creeping loss of the regimes’ power will lead to a steady growth in strength within al-Qaida.” At the same time attacks will be carried out against oil suppliers and the US economy will be targeted using cyber terrorism.
   The Fifth Phase This will be the point at which an Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared. The plan is that by this time, between 2013 and 2016, Western influence in the Islamic world will be so reduced and Israel weakened so much, that resistance will not be feared. Al-Qaida hopes that by then the Islamic state will be able to bring about a new world order.
   The Sixth Phase Hussein believes that from 2016 onwards there will a period of “total confrontation.” As soon as the caliphate has been declared the “Islamic army” it will instigate the “fight between the believers and the non-believers” which has so often been predicted by Osama bin Laden.

   As you can see, from the “Arab Spring” to ISIS to the attacks from Orlando to Nice, the jihadist plan is right on track.

   Buoyed by the West’s political correctness, multiculturalism and ignorance of our jihadist foes – and the resultant national security and immigration policies we have implemented – the Islamic supremacists have gained sufficient strength in terms of training and numbers to begin to execute regular open warfare on Western shores.

   September 11th brought the West to the Middle East. Subsequent years have brought the Middle East to the West.

   Frankly, the jihadists must be stunned at our unequal reaction to each of their actions.

   While jihadists declare their Islamic goals, strategies and tactics openly, we claim that they are nihilists who have nothing to do with Islam. While jihadists attack Western civilization, we assert that there is no clash of civilizations while dismantling our own. The First and Second Amendments are the initial casualties of civilization. Truth is going by the wayside too.

   We are living in self-righteously suicidal denial and absurdity in the face of a threat that millions in the West continue to have only the faintest of understandings about.

   The Seventh Phase of Al Qaeda’s 20 year plan was described by the Siegel as follows:

   The Seventh Phase This final stage is described as “definitive victory.” Hussein writes that in the terrorists’ eyes, because the rest of the world will be so beaten down by the “one-and-a-half billion Muslims,” the caliphate will undoubtedly succeed. This phase should be completed by 2020, although the war shouldn’t last longer than two years.

   We are in a war of wills in which demoralization will signal impending victory for the global jihad.

   What will it take for the West to muster its will to survive?

   What will it take, indeed. What ever it is, it’s guaranteed to be one he77 of a reality check. I hope we survive it. Compare the above to our “plan”.
