It was really easy for the terror sponsoring Iran to play the Obama administration. One of the most ignorant moves came when we exchanged prisoners for cash on the tarmac in Tehran. Looks like they’re looking to score again:

Our current leaders have also set up the perfect situation for the new president. Should that be Hillary it will be open season on Americans. Donald Trump presents another story. I’d trust Trump to protect Americans over Hillary but what a crap sandwich this administration is turning over to whomever our next president will be.
I dunno, Jack, any Christian evangelical who heads off to Iran, or Iraq, or Syria … ya know … they’s on they own.
I mean, come on.
And I would include GSO employees in this as well. Not until these are truly rendered pariah states, will they be ready to reconsider this, that, and the other thing.

Not sure all the folks that are “detained” are necessarily evangelicals. A significant number are Americans with family over there…doctors, scientists, students, reporters, teachers. Robin Shanini was in Iran visiting his sick mother. Esha Momeni, a masters student at Cal State Northridge, was staying with family while researching the country’s women’s movement. Joshua Fattal, Sarah Shourd, and Shane Bauer were arrested by border guards while hiking in Iraqi Kurdistan, charged with spying.The woman was released in a few months. The men were sentenced to eight years. In 2011 they were released after 5 billion rial (about US$465,000) bail was arranged by the Sultan of Oman. (Hmmm…was this part of a quid pro quo deal?
Yes, actually. You keep forgetting that anything that’s been done can be undone. They are getting their chance.
You also keep forgetting that nuclear conflict is to be avoided until the very, very, very last thing … it is of no material consequence how much crowing any grand ayatollah gets to do … as long as he keeps to the deal.
You and the Trumpster are both much too flighty and thin-skinned in these matters.
The Iran “deal” was a treaty, and Clowngress is required to ratify same. Obumble avoided that by calling it a “deal” therefore it is totally invalid and can be rescinded by a new president.
And, given all of the warts that we’ve found on the “deal” since it was announced, it SHOULD be rescinded. Unfortunately for the world, Obumble has enabled the new recruiting and training of terrorists with his ransom and payoffs.
