Representative Goodlatte, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has sent a letter to AG Loretta Lynch, outlining questions his committee has regarding destruction of evidence and the FBI’s seeming complicity in that destruction. Apparently “side agreements” were made in the immunity deals that allowed the destruction of Cheryl Mills’ and Heather Samuelson’s laptops. The following are some of the key questions Goodlatte’s committee is asking Lynch to answer:
1. Why did the FBI agree to destroy both Cheryl Mills’ and Heather Samuelson’s laptops after concluding its search?
2. Doesn’t the willingness of Ms. Mills and Ms. Samuelson to have their laptops destroyed by the FBI contradict their claim that the laptops could have been withheld because they contained non-relevant, privileged information? If so, doesn’t that undermine the claim that the side agreements were necessary?
7. Please explain why DOJ agreed to limit their search of the Mills and Samuelson laptops to a date no later than January 31, 2015 and therefore give up any opportunity to find evidence related to the destruction of evidence or obstruction of justice related to Secretary Clinton’s unauthorized use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State.
8. Why was this time limit necessary when Ms. Mills and Ms. Samuelson were granted immunity for any potential destruction of evidence charges?
9. Please confirm whether a grand jury was convened to investigate Secretary Clinton’s unauthorized use of a private email server. Disclosure is authorized under Fed. R. Crim. P. 6(e)(3)(A)(i) and (e)(3)(D).
What power gives the FBI permission to destroy evidence? It’s the same power that gave Hillary the idea she could use a private server and destroy government documents in the first place. It’s called absolute power that survives when the system has been broadly compromised.
The people can remove this power structure but we have to be willing to admit corruption is present. It’s troubling that half of the country doesn’t seem to see it, or care. Trump has suggested he will weed out the corrupt heads of departments and bureaus of the federal government. Whether he, or anyone else, could make a complete sweep to clean house is questionable but one thing is certain. If we elect Hillary Clinton the corruption will remain and become even more absolute.
FBI independence and incorruptibility went right down the toilet under Obumble, with the aid of henchmen Holder, Lynch and Comey.

The abject corruption of the FBI and DOJ departments has thrived under the Obama administration. This is his “transformation” legacy to the American people — Contempt, arrogance, serial lying, and the corruption of institutions we depend on to enforce the law.

This side agreement “bars FBI laptop search beyond Jan. 2015.” In March 2015 the “Denver firm destroys email archive.”
The side agreement and the destruction of the information, “may obstruct current and future congressional investigations.”
Also, Jonathan Turley expressed his concern.
“Turley writes at his blog, “the news of the immunity deals (and particularly the deal given top ranking Clinton aide Cheryl Mills) was baffling and those deals seriously undermined the ability to bring criminal charges in my view.”
“None of this makes sense to me,” the legal analyst told host Bill O’Reilly. “These five immunity deals are very baffling.”
