9000 and 1… Large Companies Flee Liberal California

by Jack

Food giant, Nestle is the latest corporation that has had it with the high taxes and overreaching regulations of leftist California.  After two years of warning California, they (Nestle) have finally made the decision to leave.  It just didn’t make good business sense to stay and fight a losing battle against a bureaucratic State government.

Sadly, liberal California seems to care less about the company’s problems.  But, not so with the other State’s.  Those places want Nestle’s business.  They offered Nestle tax breaks and other incentives to lure the company away from CA.  It sure didn’t take much coaxing either!  CA could not or would not even try to match them, so we lose another business.  Gee, maybe our homeless can move in to their empty offices?  I’m sure the libs would love to have them.

How many police officers’ and firemen will be laid off next because of this tax revenue drop?  The illegals that are coming bring nothing and the more that flock to sanctuary California, the more public revenue that will be lost.  It’s coming right out of your pockets, via state, county and city taxes and it goes into the pockets of people who never invested in California, but are happy to use our safety nets.

The LA Times writes, “Nestle has 1,200 employees in Glendale. About 90% of the workforce — or roughly 1,100 — is eligible to be relocated; 750 jobs are moving to the Washington area and 300 are moving to Ohio, said spokeswoman Edie Burge.

With the move, Nestle will become the latest major corporation to find a new home outside the Southland.”

At least 9,000 companies have left California from 2008 to 2015, according to the 378 page study by Spectrum Location Solutions titled,California’s Forty Year Legacy of Hostility to Business.

nestle? Why are they so great? You realize how fascist you are?

CEO of nestle said Water is not a Human Right. Nestle has been stealing taxpayers water during a drought to export.

Major boycott on Nestle. Sorry But you just are not pro life. You support corporate corruption like these companies are Gods.

You also igore the govenors who go around stealing companies by offering them no taxes. Hey come over here do what ever you want! Pollute! Pay no taxes! pay workers slave wages! Well glad to see them GO.

Now do you have any idea what companies are coming to California? Huh?

There is a Canadian one bringing manufacturing to CA do you now who they are?

We need to reinvent our Brands.

How much does the CEO of Nestle make a day? How much in taxes do they actually pay?

They are moving hot pockets closer to their market. KY is a dumbed down state of ignoramus. They can have the 360 jobs creating poison.

Jack, your post should be a eye opener for Californians who want to work, and pay those taxes.

But Gov Brown needs funding to make California current and extended welfare programs viable, and higher taxes seems to be his only answer to those who remain in the State of Sloth Generosity. Other than the implemented CalWORKs program, which is a bit of incentive to work, the same elected turn around and drive the jobs out of the State, be they burger flippers or higher paying vocations.

I often thought the even Google is leaving soon via their floating city to more settled waters.

Business understand that needed State funding is falling heavily on them in higher taxes, and they are forced to accept what’s best for their companies and exit as fast as they can to relocate in States where Corporate and personial taxes are more favorable.

That alone leaves a larger tax gap through lack of employment which California’s elected only seem to know how to fill with more tax on those staying, but for how long.

The down side as more and more business leave for more profitable States to settle in is increased unemployment, which will rise as not everyone can follow their lost employment to new locations, and the result will be the added need of longer term assistance programs. Read even higher taxes on business and those lucky enough to be employed.

It is a easy circle to realize if you apply common sense, but unseeingly difficult for current California State elected to cope with, other than raise taxes and feed the beast that they have created.

The Canadian quip was interesting and I would love to know what the hockey sticks that business is that dew is referring too. Oh and the poison he calls “hot pockets” is called employment and income.

  3. Harold says:

Oops forgot this little article: So what are we trading business’s with Canada, what did we get in exchange for the business coming to California that Dewey is referencing , you know ,in exchange for Burger King going to CANADA?

“Thanks to its high taxes and burdensome regulations, California’s hemorrhage of jobs and businesses won’t end soon.
Burger King recently relocated its headquarters out of the U.S. completely in favor of Canada, where the business tax rate is only about half what it is in America. Dozens of others have left through “inversions” to cut their tax burden.
So, thanks to the federal and state tax codes, American businesses are departing for friendlier shores — taking thousands of high-paying jobs with them.”

Well we now have a person like President Trump in DC to resolve the Federal tax issue, but in California we got NOTHING!

  4. Joe says:

Here’s another reason to leave Commiefornia: You could very well be paying higher taxes so Commiefornia can keep Obombercare or some version of it.

Maybe it will be called Jerrycare. We will all be jerryiatric and one of Jerry’s kids…

    http://www.chicoer.com/general-news/20170204/could-california-go-it-alone-on-obamacare

Won’t that be fun? The high premiums, high deductibles and now new and improved with higher taxes! And I bet if you don’t sign up for it Jerry will fine you, too!

  5. J. Soden says:

For those thinking of “CalExit” here’s the reality:
    http://www.ocregister.com/articles/liberals-743080-berkeley-union.html

And it’s my understanding that the only state that could secede on its own is TX, since that was part of the agreement when TX became a state.

  6. Joe says:

    Captain Jack,

Read what one of your rulers said. (The second most powerful politician in the state.)

California State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Léon (D-Los Angeles) said last Tuesday that “half his family” was in the country illegally, using false documents, and eligible for deportation under President Trump’s new executive order against “sanctuary” jurisdictions.

    http://www.breitbart.com/california/2017/02/05/california-state-senate-leader-family-illegal-false-documents-deportation/

What do you do when the family of your ruler is full of law breakers, Captain Jack?

What do you think the future of this state is when its rulers brag about their family members breaking the law?

Captain Jack, if you won’t fight for the state of Jefferson for yourself, then how about for your grand children? It is their only chance.

    • Post Scripts says:

Joe, I hear you and please know that I have been fighting for the State of Jefferson for about 4 years now. I’ve hosted forums, attended any number of committee meetings, wrote articles, met with our local supervisors, travelled around the country on my dime to attend Jefferson events and yes, I probably could have done even more. But, if just 20% of the voters would show the same level of enterest and effort as I have I bet we would have a State of Jefferson. It’s the only way out of the mess the liberal democrats have made. Let them wallow in it, in their own Southern CA and let us in our own Northern CA get on about the business of being free and successful. It’s time to cut loose the dead weight.

    • Libby says:

Joe, Senator De Leon is a state representative to the legislature, not a “ruler”. And if his constituency disapproves, they will remove him from office.

But they don’t, and they won’t, and what do you care anyway? You have your own representative, don’t you?

Besides, anybody with the moxie to forge immigration papers is going to make a fine addition to the state’s economy.

      • Joe says:

Diddleon isn’t your ruler you say?

Well, Libster, just try disobeying one of his edicts and see what happens to you.

His family is full of law breakers which he freely admits and you think that’s great.

You’ve been listening to too much lady goo ga

  7. Libby says:

“Food giant, Nestle is the latest corporation ….”

And good riddance. You want your grandchildren to be able to drink what comes out of the tap … not have to purchase it in plastic from Nestle.

  8. Joe says:

    Mr. Jack,

Why don’t my posts show up until several hours later or sometimes the next day?

I assume they must be reviewed first?

Does someone review every post? If so, who does that and how long does it usually take?
