New EPA Chief: Obama Administration Neglected Important Environmental Issues to Focus on Climate Change Agenda

Posted by Tina

Scott Pruitt, the new head of the EPA, had some interesting things to say on Saturday when he spoke at CPAC:

“I wanted to send a message to those at the agency — there are some very important things that the EPA does for this country,” Mr. Pruitt said on the final day of the Conservative Political Action Conference. “There are air quality issues and water quality issues that cross state line[s].”

“There’s some very important work to protect and provide leadership … but what’s happened over the last several years is the previous administration was so focused on climate change and so focused on CO2 that some of those other priorities were left behind,” he said.

He said some regulations will be rolled back in the near term “in a very aggressive way.”

“Next week, you may be hearing about some of those,” he said….”I think people across this country look at the EPA much like they look at the IRS,” he said, also saying he hoped to change that.

The left think Trumps administration is in “disarray.” I have a feeling that a year from now they are going to be surprised (and dismayed, poor dears) at the amount of work that gets done.

The Lunatic Left would love for everyone to think that the Trump administration is in complete disarray. Unfortunately for them, TheDonald is keeping his campaign promises and his Cabinet are doing battle with the onerous regulations and leftovers from the past 8 years.
Actions speak louder than words – or Fake News!

Pruitts mission is to destroy the EPA

they already have made it legal to dump coal ash into our streams again.

Rolling back regs eans Pollution for Corporate Proft, Poison for the people at taxpayers expense.

You sit there wirh decent water while many have undrinkable water, faucetts that can catch fire ect ect.

I believe I saw you say people have a right to clean water when the oroville damn subject came up, yet you care none about the rest of the country.

China and India are going green very fast. China is not using coal anymore. get a clue

All you do is rah rah rah for your team while others suffer

“The emails show Pruitt and his staff coordinating their legal strategy with oil and gas industry executives and conservative advocacy groups funded by those profiting from fossil fuels, including the billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch. While serving as Oklahoma’s elected state lawyer for the last six years, Pruitt sued federal agencies more than a dozen times to challenge stricter environmental regulations.”

Why do you hate the American people so much?

    • Tina. says:

What does “cozy” mean to you Dewey?

Listen buster, I AM one of the people who has suffered because of the anti-business agenda of the last administration! That agenda included a unconcern for the American worker and inspired them to write onerous regulations that did little to clean up the air and water but caused many many job losses, business closings, and blunted job opportunities for the middle class and newly graduated. Green investors, part of the 1% you claim to hate, made a lot of money while all over America people suffered!

Pruitt sued for good cause! The regulations put in place did nothing of substance to clean the environment.

Nobody is suggesting the total elimination of environmental protections. What is being put forward are regulations that are reasonable and do not place an unfair or impossible burden on business, employees, or CONSUMERS!

The American people are waking up to the fact that they have been snookered by opportunists of a left persuasion using the peoples concern for a clean environment to make a lot of money while oppressing the people.

Forbes, “Blood And Gore: Making A Killing On Anti-Carbon Investment Hype”

Telegraph UK, “Al Gore could become world’s first carbon billionaire”

The left leadership has quite a lucrative scam going, led by ex VP Gore. The people do not benefit from his carbon investments in any way. In fact they end up paying the taxes that help to make him filthy rich.

The oil companies make a profit, yes. There is nothing wrong with profit and the people personally gain a great deal from oil: jobs, energy, products, low prices. The US government makes a greater profit from taxes on gas than oil companies make in profit. Across the nation (2010) the average tax was 48.1 cents per gallon while Exxon made 2 cents per gallon.

The Koch brothers have become your boogie man. Scary for you because of the foolish junk you believe. But they contribute a lot to our nation: good paying jobs, reasonably priced products, research toward an environmentally responsible future, and tax revenue to the government.

What do you contribute beyond a big mouth and a lot of unfounded resentment?

The EPA found that Obama NEGLECTED many environmental issues and concerns to push a very radical green agenda and impose draconian regulation that killed jobs and ruined the lives of many American families. You should be ashamed, Dewey for supporting such a devious, neglectful, negligent agenda!

Speaking of the environment, here’s an open borders story that will warm your heart.

And someone in the comments asked a good question. Does Mexifornia have a sanctuary cesspool?

    Great article.

Why the Central Valley votes more conservative:

“Not long ago on a farm south of Fresno, I watched a poorly paid mechanic in silence repair a gate’s hydraulic ram as easily and rapidly as if he were Googling on a smartphone. He seemed to me a genius in oily clothes engulfed in a cloud of cigarette smoke.

Later that same day, in Palo Alto, I talked to lots of mellifluent and highly compensated academics theorize about politics. I wondered whether they could tell hydraulic fluid from the engine oil in their imported cars. Who is really wise, who not?
A red/blue political map of the 2016 election reflects these two antithetical worlds. Eighty-five percent of geographical America voted for Donald Trump. But more than half the country’s voters living in just 15 percent of its land area went for Hillary Clinton.

How did we split into two countries? Why does rural America vote more conservative than liberal?

Those in rural and small-town America — who were more likely to pump their own water, to worry about their septic tank and to fret whether the weather will allow them to profit or lose money — think, talk and vote differently from those who expect the tap always to flow, the toilet to flush regularly and to get paid on time, rain or shine, drought or flood.”

This is why this country is going right down the cr@pper. The people who actually do something of value get Jack squat (sorry Jack), especially after taxes, fees, regulations, etc. while the navel gazing pontificaters, bureaucrats, politicans, etc. make out like bandits.

Question—When AI robots learn to make more AI robots, what use will there be for people?

  7. Tina says:

Good question. AI Robots replacing human partners is already a thing.

Will humans reject their basic humanness and become more robotic themselves?

Depends on the agenda of the creators, doesn’t it?

AI robots begin with human programming. The idea that they can actually think like a human being is absurdly ahead of it’s time. They can calculate…they can be programmed to mimic…but think? Reason? Become human like? Only in the minds of science fiction enthusiasts if you ask me.

It will be fascinating to see how robots affect our lives in the future. So far we imagine the worst. But then, we always have when new inventions come along.
