Looks like McConnell will attempt to satisfy his base by keeping the Senators working for the first two weeks of their August break. He’s warned Republican Senators that he will work with Democrats to bail out the insurance companies if they don’t get their act together to pass healthcare legislation and address the debt limit. (Tax cut legislation too, please)
The only thing the American people can do right now is contact Senators to let them know that healthcare is a BIG issue that MUST be fixed NOW! Tell them they’ve promised to fix this for years and this is the perfect time to keep their promise. Let Them know that WE know they won’t get a better opportunity.
You might also let them know that the lies Democrats are tossing around to damage and defeat them and their efforts don’t scare or deter you a bit, so they should be fearless in their efforts.
It wouldn’t hurt to let them know that reluctance to support our duly elected REPUBLICAN president is a big, big mistake.
