This afternoon 29 year old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, who came to American from Uzbekistan in 2010, plowed a rented vehicle into pedestrians and cyclists along Manhattan’s West Side Highway when he jumped the curb and continued along a bike path. The terrorist yelled “Allahu Akbar,” as he exited the truck according to eye witnesses. A note referencing ISIS was found in or near the truck. The suspect was shot by police prior to being captured – 8 innocents dead, 15 injured. .
The photo above was posted on Twitter. The man near the truck looks a lot like the suspected terrorist. More as the investigation unfolds.
