Another Black Mark in History

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Police in Sri Lanka said Monday the investigation into the Easter Sunday bombings will examine reports that the intelligence community failed to detect or warn of possible suicide attacks before the violence.

The nine bombings of churches, luxury hotels and other sites was Sri Lanka’s deadliest violence since a devastating civil war in the South Asian island nation ended a decade ago. Police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said Monday the death toll had risen overnight to 290 dead with more than 500 wounded.

Of course it had to happen on Easter, so there would be no doubt who was being targeted for death:  Any Christians and/or Europeans.

No terrorist group has stepped forward yet to claim responsibility, but the clues are not too subtle:  7 suspected terrorists (all Muslims) have been rounded up.   The use of suicide bombers, which is quite common among Muslims terrorists.  There’s a large number of Muslims in the area that are overtly hostile to Christians and Europeans and there’s no shortage of Imams (Muslims) living in the country that interpret their holy book as saying its okay to kill infidels.  And lastly there’s a significant portion of Sri Lanka’s large Muslim population that took part in murderous war of terror on non-Muslims until about 10 years. ago.   So what religion do you think was the driving force behind these terror attacks on Easter?  (a) Islam (b) Islam or (c) Islam.  The surprise answer will posted later.

UPDATE:  Just in….

Explosions at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka killed 290 people and injured more than 500 on Easter Sunday. This is what we know so far:

● The government says the attack was carried out by the National Thowheed Jamaath, a local Islamist militant group, with suspected international assistance.

● Sri Lanka’s president has asked for international assistance in tracking down the group’s foreign connections.

● The prime minister says elements of the government had prior intelligence about the attacks.

● At least 39 foreigners were killed and 28 others wounded, the tourism minister said. Four Americans are among the dead.

● The United States pledged investigative assistance and is sending FBI agents to help.

Question:  If a popular drug killed half as many innocent people as Muslims professing to be acting on behalf of Allah, do you think the drug would be banned by our FDA?

The responses by those who consider themselves “leaders” is telling. Both Obumble and $hrilLIARy’s weak responses citing “Easter Worshipers” instead of “Christians” reach a new low. Even Google’s response was wishy-washy compared to how they ranted abut the Christchurch mosque attack.
    And then there’s YouTube:

    • Chris says:

Come on. “Easter worshippers” are Christians, obviously–no other religion celebrates Easter as a religious holiday.

President Trump didn’t say the word “Christians” in his tweet, either, nor did he specify that they were worshippers at all, but I don’t see you directing this particular critique at him, because it isn’t a serious critique. It’s a snowflakey call for political correctness.

    • Pie Guevara says:

J, I don’t think conservatives or Twitter conservatives should get all worked up every time “You Can Keep” Obama, “The Smartest Woman on the Planet” Hillary or (more likely) their handlers choke on the word “Christian.” They only serve to make themselves look silly, which is a good thing.

Google crapping on conservatives on YouTube while giving hate spewing Islamic fascists free reign has become SOP for this cowardly radical-liberal,voice silencing pos organization. Moreover, Google treats anyone in their organization that goes counter to their fascist liberal views a storm trooper boot out of the organization. Basically Google is like every other progressive organization, they are cowards who do not believe in freedom of speech or their once highly touted corporate motto bull**** “Don’t be Evil.”

Just look at what Google is doing in China to help that totalitarian regime to suppress and oppress the Chinese people. To me that is pure evil.

“… which is quite common among Muslims terrorists.”

We know you like to go all generic about these things, but the situation in Sri Lanka is not that simple … which you would know … if you watched real news, and not the fake stuff … what panders to simpletons.

    • Post Scripts says:

I’m not going all generic! I just asked a question that you didn’t answer and I made a few observations that you can find in today’s news stories.

If Muslims are getting a bad reputation that’s not my fault, it’s the radical Muslims killing people in the name of Allah that are doing it. Why not get mad at them?

      • Libby says:

        Educate yerself.

Particularly: “Other suspects include Buddhist extremist groups like the Bodu Bala Sena that has been active in recent years on the island nation, targeting mosques and reportedly leading mobs against Muslim-owned businesses.”

It’s not as simple as you would like it to be … ever. Not my idea of Buddhists … but there you go.

        • Pie Guevara says:

Educate YOURSELF Lippy, the Sri Lankan GOVERNMENT has identified the attack as the work of an Islamic terrorist group.

Of course, YOU know better than the people in Sri Lanka. I am not even going to waste my time reading the mindless media spin-crap you link to. I have read that smoke blowing garbage elsewhere which only tries to deflect responsibility away from Islam and cloud the Islamic terror issue.

Interesting how you run to defend Islamic terrorism against being “misidentified” for acts they commit. Evidently that is a huge concern of yours. Weird to say the least.

No, you have to blow smoke up everyone’s patoot in Post Scripts when all Jack has done is relate what the government police and security offices have said. You really are a piece of work. How you manage to twist yourself into such a rats nest of intellectual bankruptcy, dishonesty and depravity, I do not know. It is astonishing.

      • Libby says:

So, if the Nations Thawahid Jaman has, up to now, confined their activities for vandalism and has since, apparently, been subsidized beyond that, it’s not happening in a vacuum.

        • Pie Guevara says:

The flowering of a conspiracy theory from Lippy?

Gee, I wonder who might have given assistance to Nations Thawahid Jaman for their escalation? Could it have possibly some other radical Islamist group or groups? Those associated with CAIR possibly?

I there is no doubt in my mind that if Lippy could fine a way to blame the U.S. for the attack, she would.

          • Libby says:

No. I’m just trying to get you to see the bigger picture. Sri Lanka has a lengthy history of mongo and brutal squabbling between the Christians, Buddhists and Muslims. If this made the NTJ susceptible to the blandishments of monied radicals outside the country, are the Muslims themselves ENTIRELY culpable?
