Trump Investigation – Nothing So Far

From the Federalist….

“The anonymous whistleblower complaint has been declassified by the House Intelligence Committee and was released to the public Thursday morning after select members of Congress reviewed the report Wednesday night.

The complaint chronicles accusations of President Donald Trump conspiring with a foreign leader to interfere with U.S. elections, mirroring charges made three years ago against Trump, alleging he worked with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016, allegations that were later shown to be no more than a conspiracy theory.

The declassified whistleblower document reveals that White House officials attempted to “lock down” the details of a July phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Trump suggested Ukraine investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter for their dealings with a Ukrainian energy company to weed out corruption in the country. While he was vice president, Biden played a role in firing the Ukrainian prosecutor for going after the company whose board Hunter sat on for $50,000 a month.

The first page of the complaint also notes that the whistleblower “was not a direct witness to most of the events described” in the memo, basing each claim on hearsay.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Thursday that the newly released complaint “is nothing more than a collection of third-hand accounts of events and cobbled-together press clippings — all of which shows nothing improper.”

“The White House will continue to push back on the hysteria and false narratives being peddled by Democrats and many in the mainstream media, and President Trump will continue to work hard on behalf of the American people as he always does,” said Grisham.

Nothing so far, you say? Well, that may be true but you know you’re waving a red flag in front of the liberals who infest this blog and it will send them into a TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) frenzy.

Here’s something else that will, too. Some truth about the Biden, Clinton and Soros corruption.

If you view only one video about this Ukraine situation this is it!

Guiliani’s evidence is devastating yet even Ingram tries to cut him off.

What the Bidens and Murphy did are beyond criminal!

How can anyone see Giuliani as a reliable narrator of these events given his constant contradictions and emotional outbursts? The man has lost his mind. It’s sad. He could have been remembered as the governor of New York during 9/11. Instead he hitched his wagon to Trumpism and all the chaos and insanity that entails. It’s like Rick Wilson says: everything Trump touches dies.

      • Chris says:

Even Erick Erickson isn’t buying the Joe Biden conspiracy theory:

“I actually am kinda horrified at the number of people who really believe Biden had the power to fire a Ukrainian prosecutor and did so to help his kid.”

I’ve been saying this for days, and no one here has had a rebuttal to it.

        • Joe says:

How about some proof of that prosecutor’s corruption?
And you have no problem with Biden’s corruption?

He pressures the government to fire the prosecutor investigating the corruption of the oligarch and company Biden’s son is getting big bucks from even though Biden knows nothing about the gas and oil industry or Ukraine?

The question is not whether Biden could do it on his own. He did it and he had an enormous conflict of interest which amounted to CORRUPTION!

Biden’s son gets millions from a Ukraine oligarch and Chinese firms because his dad is VP, yet to you that’s a fake scandal.

It’s a real scandal and thank God Trump is demanding the US AND Ukrainian governments get to the bottom of this! THAT IS HIS DUTY!

          • Chris says:

How about some proof of that prosecutor’s corruption?

Google is free. The entire Western world wanted him gone because he was *not* investigating corruption. The only excuse you have for not knowing that at this point is that your biased sources are refusing to tell you this.

He pressures the government to fire the prosecutor investigating the corruption of the oligarch and company Biden’s son is getting big bucks from

No, the prosecutor was not investigating Burisma at the time Biden started pressuring him to be fired. Again, it is amazing that you still don’t know this.

The question is not whether Biden could do it on his own.

That does, in fact, have a huge bearing on the issue, because if he didn’t do it on his own that means your assumed motive doesn’t make any sense.

If this were based on any principle at all you’d be condemning the Trump children for doing the exact thing. But that would require you to have principles, in which case you wouldn’t be a Trumper.

          • Joe says:

The entire Western world? Geez, talk about over-reaching. Yeah, like the corrupt Atlantic Council and it’s warmongers. They sure wanted it.

And why should a single American taxpayer dollar go to Ukraine, a cesspool of corruption?

O’bammy and Uncle Joe were passing out our tax dollars over there like candy on Halloween over there and in that instance alone they guaranteed Ukraine’s government a billion of our tax dollars.

But of course being a partisan hack, you have no problem with that, even at a time our country has massive deficits and mind-boggling debt, not to mention 20% of Californians are poor.

If you think that’s what the entire Western world wants you are an idiot.

          • Joe says:

So assume you are a prosecutor NOT investigating Burisma and you get fired, BUT the man pushing you to get fired has a son who is making hundreds of thousands of dollars or more being on the board of Burisma. And said son has NO experience in the oil and gas industry and knows nothing about Ukraine.

What message does that send to the fired prosecutor’s successor?

How hard do you think he/she will try to investigate Burisma and its oligarch when the man who pushed hard to fire his/her successor and freaking bragged about it to the world has a son on Burisma’s board?

Even an idiot knows the answer to this question.

The corruption is dripping from Biden yet you refuse to acknowledge this.

          • Ebolan says:

And what gives O’Bammy, Biden or “the entire Western world” or even know it all Chris the right to tell the Ukranians who and who they cannot have as prosecutor?

And why is Bammy and Biden putting the US taxpayer on the hook for a billion dollars? And that’s just that one instance, there’s tens of billions more.

In case you don’t understand that is money coming out of YOUR pocket and even the pockets of poor people who you liberals claim you love.

          • Chris says:

Joe, for once you are actually asking good questions. I’m not sure of the answer; but I think it might send the message that the US government is more concerned with rooting out corruption than in personal interests and squabbles.

What message did Trump’s threat send? The complete opposite, and the message that he’s been sending since before he even took office: that all you have to do to get on his good side is to go after someone he hates, and then you can have whatever you want.

          • Chris says:

Ebolan, is it your position that it was wrong for Trump to make aid to the Ukraine contingent on them investigating his political rival?

Literally every word of the whistleblower complaint has been confirmed, much of it by the president’s own admission.

      • Peggy says:

Wrong again Chris. Please provide your proof.

        • Chris says:

Anyway, focusing on the whistleblower is a desperate distraction on your part. The central fact of the complaint–that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, and tied that to foreign aid–has been confirmed by Trump and Rudy, and is confirmed in the transcript of the phone call. Even worse, Trump has since engaged in blatant witness intimidation, even suggesting that the whistleblower should be executed. These are impeachable offenses and horrific violations of norms, and you don’t care because the right wing media has made you think that a form changed, and that it makes a difference whether the president mentioned Joe Biden three our four times or eight. Pathetic.

          • Peggy says:

Chris,”… and that it makes a difference whether the president mentioned Joe Biden three our four times or eight. Pathetic.”

What’s pathetic Chris is you believe the garbage your biased liberal media is feeding you. Read the transcript. like I did, and you’ll find Biden’s name was only mentioned once and not related to quid pro quo.

A process and form that was changed just days before would have you screaming foul if it was changed to benefit a republican and you know it. Never before has second and third hand information been allowed for whistleblower complaints. Plus, the guy/gal lied on his original complaint and said he/she did have first hand knowledge. You should be asking why? Why did it change.

Also, the form is available online. Common sense should be telling you a CIA agent would not only know this, but also know how to fill out a form most high school students would be able to do. Why did he/she feel he HAD to get the expert help from Schiff and his staff?

Nice try, but you’re the one who really is pathetic for falling for this scam.

          • Chris says:

None of this happened, as I have already proven, as the Trump-appointed Inspector General already told you, as Republican Senator Chuck Grassley already told you, and as you could confirm for yourself by consulting any fact-checker in the world.

But you refuse to accept it, while projecting your belief in obvious propaganda on me.

            Pathetic.

  6. Chris says:

While he was vice president, Biden played a role in firing the Ukrainian prosecutor for going after the company whose board Hunter sat on for $50,000 a month. This is a lie, and an obvious one. That is not at all the reason Biden went after the Ukrainian prosecutor. Biden could not have chosen to do this if he wanted to; President Obama was behind the policy to oust the Ukrainian prosecutor, which was supported by the international community because the prosecutor was indeed corrupt. Is it your assertion that Obama and all our European allies just wanted this guy gone to protect Hunter Biden? That doesn’t make any sense. Biden should not have been the point man on this because it created the appearance of a conflict of interest. But if you look at the substance, there is just nothing Biden did in regards to Ukraine that someone else in the Obama administration couldn’t have also done. The theory that this was done to protect Hunter Biden from investigation is thus complete nonsense. Trump was asking Ukraine to investigate nonsense. Why is this hard for you to accept? He spent years investigating Obama’s birth certificate even though Obama released a legal birth certificate in 2008. What we have here is a president who announced to the world that he’s for sale. Just promise to investigate a political enemy, and he’ll give you what you want. That is an abuse of power, a national security risk, and impeachable conduct. Stop listening to the lying hacks at the Federalist and start caring about what having a president like this is doing to our country.

    • Joe says:

“Biden should not have been the point man on this because it created the appearance of a conflict of interest. ”

Appearance? So Hunter was getting 50 grand a month from a corrupt oligarch and his company because of Hunter’s deep knowledge of the oil and gas industry and of Ukraine. (When his brain was not in a fog from all the cocaine.) Nothing to see here, folks. Just move along, now…and believe the Fececrats.

      • Joe says:

“Are Democrats claiming that this company was clean as a whistle and it was an absolute OUTRAGE that it was being investigated?

Ukraine was looking into the company that conveniently placed Hunter Biden on its board long before Trump came on the scene. Something must have made the Ukrainian prosecutor want to investigate Biden’s company — and it sure wasn’t to curry favor with the Obama/Biden administration.”

        • Chris says:

Once again: the prosecutor was NOT looking into Burisma at the time Biden was–at the request of Obama, our European allies, and the IMF–pressuring for his resignation. If anything, getting that prosecutor fired may have been BAD for Burisma.

  7. Chris says:

    Your president today:

“To show you how dishonest the LameStream Media is, I used the word Liddle’, not Liddle, in discribing Corrupt Congressman Liddle’ Adam Schiff. Low ratings
    @CNN
purposely took the hyphen out and said I spelled the word little wrong. A small but never ending situation with CNN!”

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump

Some thoughts on this Trump tweet…

    1) The president doesn’t know what a hyphen is. (He used an apostrophe.)
    2) The president doesn’t know that “Liddle” is not any kind of word. (The word he was looking for is “Lil’.”
    3) The president constantly accuses reporters of fake news when their facts are accurate, as they were in this case.

I realize this seems like a distraction from the impeachment thing, but maybe we need to stop and just appreciate the fact that this president is very, very, very stupid–too stupid, in fact, to be the leader of the free world. So shouldn’t something be done about that?

    • Post Scripts says:

The president constantly accuses reporters of fake news when their facts are accurate, as they were in this case.

Headlines today…. “Megan Markle Murdered Student” Why would Megan Markle kill a student? That was my first take from this headline. Then the story says Megan visited the grave of a murdered South African student. Wow, what a difference? Fake news.

      • Chris says:

What the hell are you talking about? I can’t find such a headline anywhere. Why wouldn’t you link to it? Are you making this up, Jack?

        • Post Scripts says:

Are you referring to Megan Markel? If so, when you turn on Windows 10 and it boots to all those MSN news headlines, it was right there, front page. I am 100% serious. It caught my, so I clicked on the link and it took me to a story about her visiting the grave… etc. Gospel truth.

          • Chris says:

Just went to MSN.com. Don’t see any headline like what you’re describing. And I’ll waste no more time on that distraction, since it has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m talking about, nor does it contradict the fact that Trump’s deranged tweet is yet another example of him accusing the mainstream media of spreading falsehoods even in instances where they are factually accurate.

          • Post Scripts says:

Chris, not sure why you wanted to double check that in the first place, doesn’t show a lot of trust? I literally saw that headline with own eyes and I’ve never once lied to you. Only rarely have I been guilty mistaking using fiction sent innocently to me for posting here by a trusted source. But, as for me personally, I’ve never deliberately lied to you or anyone here. So, if I tell you I saw a thing, you can bet your inheritance I saw a thing. If you said the same thing I would believe you. I feel that we can disagree on things, but it doesn’t mean I think you are dishonest…just the opposite.

          • Chris says:

Fine. You saw it. It also has nothing to do with what we were talking about, and was a deliberate distraction.

          • Libby says:

            Jack, you’re losing it.

          • Chris says:

No, Libby, his argument is very clear: Jack saw a fake news story somewhere, and that’s why he’s not worried that the leader of the free world has nothing better to do than to freak out on Twitter about a newspaper accurately correcting his nonsensical spelling and punctuation. All of this is justified because Megan Markle, and the fake news, and the media is the real problem.

Trumpism is contagious, and spreads rapidly, but thankfully we’re finally looking at a containment plan.

    • Post Scripts says:

Good find Joe – once again why isn’t the mainstream media all over this? Why aren’t liberals going ballistic and demanding something be done about Biden? I guess they are too busy accusing Trump of not placing an apostrophe in the proper place on a tweet or something. This is their priority??? Hysterical isn’t it? lol

      • Joe says:

Here’s another article everyone should read and you’ll never read in the corrupt lamestream media.

        https://www.takimag.com/article/the-transcript-we-really-want-to-see/

        Jack:

“I guess they are too busy accusing Trump of not placing an apostrophe in the proper place on a tweet or something. This is their priority??? Hysterical isn’t it? lol ”

Sometimes I don’t know if you can’t read or you just don’t want to. As I clearly explained, it was Trump who accused journalists of leaving out a “hyphen” in quoting a misspelled word of his, while reporting on another of his juvenile attacks against a member of the legislative branch (“Liddle’ Adam Schiff”). He was very, very incensed at journalists leaving out the “hyphen” (actually an apostrophe) and insisted that “Liddle’ ” is actually a word if you include the “hyphen” (actually an apostrophe), even though it is not a word with or without the “hyphen” (actually an apostrophe).

This was the president’s “priority.” But you don’t have a problem with that.

  9. Peggy says:

Something fishy going on here. How to change a leaker into a whistleblower by changing the form just days before and keep it secret. Nice try.

Deep State: Intel Officials Changed Whistleblower Requirements to Allow Complaint Against Trump:

“Evidence is piling up that a group inside the upper echelons of the intelligence community and in Congress colluded to make the whistleblower complaint against President Trump possible, even though he did nothing wrong.

Sean Davis published an article late Friday that includes undeniable evidence that the whistleblower form used to file a complaint against Trump had been changed in a manner that specifically allowed an otherwise unreportable situation to become reportable.

The brand new version of the whistleblower complaint form, which was not made public until after the transcript of Trump’s July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and the complaint addressed to Congress were made public, eliminates the first-hand knowledge requirement and allows employees to file whistleblower complaints even if they have zero direct knowledge of underlying evidence and only “heard about [wrongdoing] from others.”

The internal properties of the newly revised “Disclosure of Urgent Concern” form, which the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) requires to be submitted under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act (ICWPA), show that the document was uploaded on September 24, 2019, at 4:25 p.m., just days before the anti-Trump complaint was declassified and released to the public. The markings on the document state that it was revised in August 2019, but no specific date of revision is disclosed.

Drafting a rough timeline of these events points to a calculated hit on President Trump by a group of powerful people in the government.

7/25/19 – Trump has a phone conversation with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky during which he suggests looking into the firing of a prosecutor who was investigating Hunter Biden’s questionable association with a corrupt Ukrainian gas company.

8/12/19 – Whistleblower complaint is filed with only hearsay evidence – something the form did not allow at this time.

Sometime in August – Whistleblower form is modified to allow hearsay in a complaint

8/28/19 – Rep. Adam Schiff issues a tweet that shows he has knowledge of the complaint and may have already seen it – despite the hearsay rule change not being public yet

9/24/19 – New Whistleblower form with hearsay change is uploaded for use

9/26/19 – Whistleblower complaint is made public

    https://www.conservativedailynews.com/2019/09/deep-state-intel-officials-changed-whistleblower-requirements-to-allow-complaint-against-trump/

    • Chris says:

All of this is based on a lie, Peggy. The law has never required whistleblowers to have firsthand information–which would be a ridiculous requirement that would discourage needed whistleblowing.

      https://ethicsalarms.com/2019/09/29/addendum-and-correction-to-the-complaint-form-revision-discussion/

      • Peggy says:

Excuse me, but didn’t you read the article you posted? This is what it says.

“The revised version of the whistleblower complaint form was not made public until after the transcript of the President’s July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. It had eliminated the first-hand knowledge requirement, allowing government employees to file whistleblower complaints even if they lack direct knowledge of underlying evidence and only “heard about [wrongdoing] from others.”

        • Chris says:

Peggy, literally the next words after that description are “I now know that this description was misleading and incorrect.” And you’re accusing me of not reading the article? You have beclowned yourself anew.

Thank you for confirming that you will stop reading the moment you think your biases are confirmed. You have the intellectual curiosity of a gnat. I don’t even feel bad about this insult, because this is not the first time you have made this embarassing mistake, I have begged you to change, and you’re determined to keep making the same crazy mistakes over and over, all while condescendingly acting like I am in the wrong for correcting your misinformation. I will pray for you to change this self-sabotaging behavior and to open your mind.

      • Libby says:

Chris, why do you waste your time?

Peggy is a parrot … an automaton. She hasn’t thought a thought of her own in 40 years. If Trump held up a liquor store with his weenie, she and Jack and Harold would eternally mouth the baseless drivel fed them by Fox, et al., eternally.

There just isn’t anything to do but wait for them all to die.

        • Chris says:

She literally stopped reading after the first paragraph, which quoted an earlier article, in an article that had a headline making it clear that the majority of the article was a correction to the earlier article. The very next words began to explain that the part she was quoting was inaccurate. And she accused me of not reading the article.

You’re right, there is no hope. She shuts out any facts that don’t comport with her feelings. She wants to be like this. This is who she chooses to be, every day.

        • Peggy says:

Nice to see you put down your shot glass and graced us with your foulmouthed contribution, again.

          • Chris says:

You don’t have a principled objection to being “foulmouthed,” since you support Trump.

            So why pretend to?

          • Libby says:

            Weenie? … foul-mouthed?

I don’t think so. Descriptive is what it is. And you do insist on defending the presidency an admitted crotch-grabber … I call that foul, so I do.

The quantity of female misogyny abroad in the land is really VERY disheartening.
