A Bad Week Draws to an End

by Jack

The State of New York is hammered by the spread of infection.  nearly half the known cases of COVIDS-19 are on the east coast.

California prepares for the worst.  Random bay area testing of persons who thought they might be infected are coming in at about 24% of the total.  Santa Clara remains a hot spot. As of 3/16/20 only 9000 persons were  tested statewide, but that could change very soon to about 5000 per day.

“Testing” numbers don’t tell us much since they don’t reveal how many tested negative vs positive. What matters are the numbers of unfortunate deaths due to the infection of the world by the Chinese Wuhan virus.
And since China decided on March 18 to quit counting virus cases, it’s not surprising that their reports are now “zero.”
