Chinese Mob Disrupts Japanese Business

Panasonic halted operations at three factories in China after angry protesters ransacked Japanese businesses over the weekend amid rising tensions over disputed islands in the East China Sea.

Violence against Japanese companies was seen in Xi’an, Dongguan, Changsha and Guangzho, according to local media reports. A Panasonic factory and Toyota dealership in Qingdao were damaged on Saturday, and a Jusco department store was ransacked. In Guangzhou, demonstrators broke into the Garden Hotel and attacked a Japanese restaurant on the second floor, according to the South China Morning Press.

Panasonic has suspended work at three plants in China until Tuesday, after factories in Qingdao and Suzhou were damaged by protesters, company officials told CNN. Panasonic also halted operations at a factory in Guangdong province until Tuesday as some local employees staged a strike as protest against Japan’s claim to the island chain, called Diaoyu by China and Senkaku by Japan.

A Heiwado Co. department store in Changsha was ransacked, as were Japanese supermarkets in several cities, Japan’s Kyodo News Service reported.

Latest Polling – Obama’s Bounce is Fading

President Obama came out of his nominating convention surging in the polls, both nationally and in key states he will need to carry to win in the Electoral College — but the high already is beginning to fade, and pollsters said he didn’t fundamentally alter what’s still a neck-and-neck race.

“This is standard ups and downs,” said John Zogby, who conducts polling for The Washington Times. “I had suggested this was a no-bounce year, and I guess maybe I was wrong. Obama clearly got a bounce from his convention. But I’m starting to get questions about, ‘Is it all over?’ Of course not.”

Still, pollsters across the board said Mr. Obama did make clear and sustainable gains over the past month, particularly with some demographics such as women, young voters and Hispanics.

“With the Romney campaign reeling on issues unrelated to the economy, the President enters the fall campaign in a much stronger position to sustain a lead, bolstered by the dynamics of the race,” James Carville and Stan Greenberg, who together run Democracy Corps, said in a memo Friday outlining the parameters of the race.

Both parties went into their conventions trying to win over women voters, and on that score Mr. Carville and Mr. Greenberg said the president “won hands down.”

Movie Dude Gave to Obama Campaign?

Posted by Tina
The Movie is the straw man bad guy and he is joined by the straw man Romney BUT, as Breitbart-Big Hollywood reports today…there’s a guy who made a film that is a big Obama supporter….and nobody noticed…ya gotta read this great piece that begins:

Blame the movie.

Blame the movie.

Blame the movie.

Even though “the movie” was on YouTube for months prior to the collective indignation of thousands of Middle Eastern Islamists all coming together on the eleventh anniversary of September 11th (through a wild coincidence, no doubt), we are being told by our government and our media overlords that we must blame the movie.
You see, if we blame the movie for the burning of our foreign outposts and the brutal murders of four Americans (including our Libyan ambassador who was reportedly raped), we won’t blame the burners and the looters and the murderers and the rapists.

Obama on Reading Intelligence Reports & Other Foreign Policy Stuff

Posted by Tina

Hey guys…check out the Prez in 2008, via The Blaze, as he lectures the Bush administration:

And then there’s Obama’s criticism of President Bush regarding comments Bush made before the Knesset in Israel:

ABC News’ Ed O’Keefe Reports: The Obama campaign is taking issue with a comment President Bush made while speaking to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s statehood.

“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” the President said to the country’s legislative body, “We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”

In a statement, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., shot across the bow: “It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 6Oth anniversary of Israel’s independence to launch a false political attack. It is time to turn the page on eight years of policies that have strengthened Iran and failed to secure America or our ally Israel. Instead of tough talk and no action, we need to do what Kennedy, Nixon and Reagan did and use all elements of American power — including tough, principled, and direct diplomacy – to pressure countries like Iran and Syria. George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the President’s extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel.”

Leave it to the narcissist to think Bush was talking about him rather than the two contrasting approaches, strength vs. appeasement.

Act of Political Desperation Will Cost All Americans

From Forbes:

(This ties in very nicely to the QE3 story below)

In what can be viewed as a desperate effort to bail out the failed economic policies of the Obama Administration, the Federal Reserve this week committed to purchasing $40 billion a month of mortgage backed securities for an unlimited time and to keep interest rates artificially low until at least mid 2015. By so doing, the Fed has embarked upon a course that invites higher inflation, falling living standards, and a global financial crisis.

The Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) official statement, released Thursday after the conclusion of its meeting, pays lip service to price stability, which it defines as an increase in the price level of 2% a year, or a 33% devaluation of the dollar over the next 20 years. However, the Fed also left little doubt that for the foreseeable future, it will print money in an effort “to support a stronger economic recovery.”

Gun Grab – Again…

6778-atf_logo_s160x160-thumb-160x160-6777.jpg

The Obama administration is making it easier for bureaucrats to take away guns without offering the accused any realistic due process. In a final rule published last week, the Justice Department granted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) authority to “seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled-substance abuses.” That means government can grab firearms and other property from someone who has never been convicted or even charged with any crime.

It’s a dangerous extension of the civil-forfeiture doctrine, a surreal legal fiction in which the seized property — not a person — is put on trial. This allows prosecutors to dispense with pesky constitutional rights, which conveniently don’t apply to inanimate

Surprising Information on Libyan Attack Surfaces

As more information comes to light regarding the violence in Egypt and Libya, including the deaths of four Americans, it becomes apparent that Barack Obama was caught completely off guard. Not only does it appear that the violence in Libya was coordinated and planned, but Barack Obama hadn’t even attended a security briefing in a week.

As reported by Tony Lee at Breitbart.com, the Internet movie which is being blamed by the Obama administration as the cause for the attacks in Libya and Egypt most likely was just a cover for a coordinated attack that had been planned for some time.

But a closer examination of the evidence indicates Al-Qaeda orchestrated these attacks, and the movie was just a bogus excuse used to trigger the widespread violence. Even worse, it seems Al-Qaeda telegraphed these attacks, and the Obama administration still got caught flat-footed, unaware of the terror group’s strength in the region, missing key signals and clues that were out in the open.

American school burned in Tunis

Embassy attacked in India, scores arrested!

University of Texas evacuated – Al Qaeda bomb threat

US Embassy in Sudan under fire!

Outraged Muslims used a homemade video allegedly insulting the Prophet Muhammad as an excuse for violence. The “religion of peace” is engaged once again in violent attacks and murder across the Middle East and beyond, all aimed at US Embassies, that is until today when they attacked a German Embassy. Why Germany? Oh, right, they were Westerners…so close enough…idiots!

Just moments ago Reuters is reporting violence against Western targets in Egypt, Yemen, Sudan and Tunisia. Large angry mobs are forming up in in Afghanistan, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Iran and Iraq.

Here is a moment by moment unfolding of the violence in local time:

1657 Nigerian troops fire live rounds in city of Jos to disperse protesters.

1654 President Obama has ordered a security review for US diplomatic facilities worldwide following attack on consulate in Benghazi

1648 US embassy in Khartoum said all protesters have been “expelled” from inside the compound.
