I may have to change my vote to Obama, I’ve just heard some startling revelations why Obama should be our next president. According to one of Hawaii’s delegates to the DNC Obama is both wonderful and has the Aloha spirit.

There it is, two, (2) great qualities in one man, hallowed tho he may be, this is still really something incredible. He is “wonderful” AND filled with the “Aloha spirit!” As opposed to John McCain who may be wonderful in his own special way, but does he measure up with the “Aloha spirit”? Can we afford to take that chance? Emotion filled delegates say no! And these two things, being wonderful and filled with Aloha, above all else is why the Hawaiians love Obama. Well ain’t that just ducky. This is deep stuff, really deep!

We at Post Scripts have insisted that the next president, whether Democrat or Republican, will have to deal with the terror war being waged against us. If its Barack Obama he will find it necessary to confront terrorists despite fervent calls by fawning supporters to end the war. Apparently Obama and his parties leaders agree:

(CNSNews.com) – In his speech at the Democratic National Convention last night, Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden highlighted Barack Obamas plan to escalate U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan. ** Obama explained his plan in a July 14 op-ed in the New York Times, and in keeping with that plan, the Democratic platform approved by the delegates to Democratic National Convention this week included a statement saying the party was committed to increasing the U.S. troops in Afghanistan while drawing down, but not completely removing, U.S. troops from Iraq.

What is this…follow the leader? It’s exactly what President Bush has indicated will happen in the next few weeks. Good golly…d’ya ‘spose he’s been right all along?

In the past few years weve heard a lot about our civil rights being violated by the Bush administration. In an effort to keep Americans safe from terror attacks like 9/11 procedures were put in place to monitor certain phone conversations without a court order. To my knowledge there hasnt been a single complaint accusing the government of overstepping this power, yet the accusations and references to Hitler and fascism continue. Is it paranoia, politicsor just the way some people think? Consider the following:

Democrats such as Barack Obama are increasingly showing a disturbing eagerness to invoke the power of the state to silence critics. The latest example of this growing anti-First Amendment mentality is Obamas heavy-handed response to a television ad by an independent nonprofit that raises some very basic questions about the Illinois senators relationship with William Ayers, the unrepentant 1960s terrorist bomber. *** Obamas campaign has encouraged supporters to flood television stations with protests whenever they see the ad. Nothing wrong with that, but the other thrust of the Obama response was to ask the Justice Department to intervene to stop further airing of the ad. Thats where Obama crossed the line and raised a question of fundamental importance does he or does he not believe the First Amendments guarantee of freedom of speech?

Obama is a lawyer trained in Constitutional Lawright? Unh huhso is he just a hot head, is he arrogant, copying the Janet Reno modelor is that just how HE (THEY) thinks?

Bush was acting to protect Americans…the only one Obama is trying to protect is himself.

How do you like our new large print in black? I think most of our audience is approaching that age where we need readers and the gray font type was just too small and didn’t have enough contrast. Kinda made it hard to read, but not anymore!

Don Perata a key figure in holdling up the state’s budget just picked up a whopping $577,000 campaign contribution for a committee that he controls. The big bucks came from the State’s Prison Guard Association and they coincidentally just happen to expect a big fat pay raise real soon. That’s how the game is played folks and guess when you get tired of it you will demand some changes. Till then it’s corruption and payoffs.

As temperatures approach the century mark today maybe you should stop by Chico City Council Chambers and cool off, it’s icy cold in there. Least it was last night when we had our meeting from 7 pm till about 8:30 pm. We all wondered what the thermostat was set at? It felt like it must have been about 65 degrees! But, what the heck…it’s just taxpayer’s money and Chico is really fat these days, right?

You’ll love this one. The cops busted an illegal alien starting a forest fire in Mendocino County. Turns out a helicopter pilot dumping water on another fire spotted a man in camo clothing (good eye) and watched him set a fire. The pilot suspended his water drop activity and called in police while he kept watch. And how illegal was he? This arsonist was also a pot grower and he was lighting fires to divert attention away from his crop…imagine that, a marijuana garden in Mendocino county?

He was not alone either, but so far his crime partners haven’t been caught.

Mexican nationals growing pot in our forests is a big problem and it’s getting worse. Typically these guys are heavily armed and work for drug cartels back in Mexico. They have no qualms about firing at you or at law enforcement. Think about that next time you see somebody advocating open borders or claiming imigrants aren’t criminals. Our prisons are filled with so-called undocumented imigrants who are major criminals!
