Kerry Just Said One of the Dumbest Things in US Political History

From Peggy

Ok, I’m having a glass of wine to calm me down before writing this.

I just heard James Clapper say, “When the final accounting is done, 2014 will have been the most lethal year for global terrorism in the 45 years such data has been compiled,” Clapper said, detailing thousands of attacks.

And then I heard John Kerry say, “We are actually living in a period of less daily threat to Americans and to people in the world than normally; less deaths, less violent deaths today, than through the last century,” Kerry said.

Could the head clown get his other clowns together and figure out what is going on so they’ll know how to deal with protecting Americans from terrorist.johnkerrymocked

On the other hand getting two completely different stories is great campaign material for 2016, because we all know the MSM isn’t going to cover it.

DNI Chief Contradicts Obama: Terror Threat is Expanding, 2014 Deadliest Year on Record:

“Obama last summer, “”[T]he truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be — if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time,” Obama said. “The world is less violent than it has ever been. It is healthier than it has ever been.”

According to an NBC/WSJ survey released in September 2014, 47 percent of Americans now feel less safe than they did before 9/11.”

NOTE:  Thanks for saving me the trouble of writing this story Peggy!  I was just about to do that when I read your comment and decided to place it here on page one.   I too am now having a glass of wine trying to calm down.   I can’t believe John Kerry said that?   This man is a bigger fool than I previously thought and I previously thought he was one of the biggest fools in history.  But, he has just now exceeded that low appraisal by a wide margin.

How could a man in his high position be so utterly clueless to say something that absurd?   I’m appalled!  I’m more than appalled!!!  What’s a word meaning much more than… appalled?  Whatever it is, then I’m that!  James Clapper made his statement under oath to Congress, Kerry was too, but Clapper had his stats right…and Kerry didn’t, he lied, shouldn’t he be fired for such a blunder?

I’m glad Mr. Kerry and I are not in the same room at the moment, so I won’t be going to jail tonight.  Instead, I’ll just take this moment to “calm down” and enjoy a nice bottle of Pavillon Rouge Château Margaux from (De mon ancienne cave à vin)  ye ole wine cellar.   You’ll probably have trouble finding it locally.  Don’t even bother to look for a 2009 Margaux, way, way over-priced.   Instead, you might look for a nice Giuseppe Rinaldi ‘Brunate-Le Coste’ 2010.  Its very reasonably priced.   Here’s a toast to you:  “To wine. It improves with age-the older I get, the more I like it.”

Jack, both Kerry and Clinton will go into the history books as our worst Sec. of States right along with Obama as our worst president since Wilson. None of them know what the he77 they’re doing.

Turns out Clinton raked in huge bucks from other countries while she was Sec. of State. She left Kerry a mell of a hess that he has no idea how to deal with. And Obama has no idea how to lead so he’s going to do as little as possible and leave his mess for the next president.

We are so close to WWIII. It’s like deja vu to WWII between the Nazis and ISIS, and Obama and Chamberlain. The Christians, Kurds and Sunnis being killed now is like the Jews before WWII. What will this Pearl Harbor be? How many will die here to force Kerry and Obama to wake up and deal with it? Or will he continue with his political agenda of preserving his legacy?

I think Clapper paid Obama back for throwing him under the bus last year. He went prepared today with stats and facts.

Obama Throws Intelligence Director James Clapper Under the Bus:

“President Obama is attributing the rise of ISIS to the intelligence community’s failures in order to deflect criticism of his own incompetence.

When President Obama attributed the rise in Iraq of the Islamic State, or ISIS, to the failures of the U.S. intelligence community earlier this week, naming and blaming directly National Intelligence Director Gen. James Clapper, he was attempting to deflect criticism of his own incompetence. He was discussing the fact that ISIS, right under his own and the general’s noses, gained control of nearly half of the landmass of Iraq. This is the same Iraq that the United States supposedly liberated from the clutches of a dictator, strengthened as a regional military power, and fortified as the Middle East’s newest democracy as a result of our invasion in 2003 and our subsequent 10-year occupation.”

My wine of choice are New Clairvaux’s Viognier or their Red Table wine. Love that the monastery is just down the road and their prices are reasonable. (Their red table wine is so popular it’s not always available. It’s that good, but I shouldn’t tell you that… more for me if you don’t like it.

Hey, you want a story to write check out the black ops warehouse the Chicago police are using. It’s being reported to have been in operation for a couple of years and is being run like GITMO and KGB interrogation methods. As a former officer you’d know if this is really going on or not. If it is we are really shadowing WWII.

Oh I do love this. Greta V. threatened to be truant officer for Democrats to “boycott” Bibi’s speech next week.

BOOM: Greta Issues Major Threat to Nancy Pelosi Over Boycott of Netanyahu’s Speech [VIDEO]:

“It was bad enough that our own Vice President Joe Biden is conveniently scheduled to “travel” during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Washington, D.C., to address a special joint session of Congress.

Even worse, a number of notable congressional Democrats have threatened to boycott Netanyahu’s visit, claiming that they’re upset that House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, scheduled the visit without consulting Obama first.

Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren received word that Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was caught acting like a Hollywood gangster when asked by the press if she was planning on attending Netanyahu’s address.

Pelosi told the crowd, “Things happen in people’s schedules and … uhhh … They do. You just never know.”

She invoked a room full of snickering by the way she indirectly supported the call for a boycott without actually putting herself on the record.

But Van Susteren was not about to let Pelosi and other cowardly Democrats get away with such foolery.

“If the Democrats take her direction, don’t show up, they may want to find some place to hide because, you know what, I just may send out some cameras to see how busy the MIA Democrats really are, that they’re too busy to hear a world leader, an ally, in the United States Capitol discussing something so profoundly important as Iran and nuclear weapons,” she said.

“Hope they don’t get caught playing golf, lunching with lobbyists, or at their own fundraisers,” she added (H/T Mad World News).

With the resources available at Greta’s disposal, along with other anchors at her level in the industry, we should keep cameras on these shady Democrats every time they conveniently miss an important event due to what they claim are previously scheduled engagements.

Instead of continuing to divide our government, which is already in shambles thanks to the worst leadership the nation has ever seen, wouldn’t it be nice to see them try to do something positive for the American people — their employers?

Let’s not let these Democrats boycott Netanyahu’s important speech on Iran’s nuclear weapons program just because they’re following Uncle Joe to the golf course.”

    http://conservativetribune.com/greta-issues-threat-to-pelosi/

Remember it was Pelosi who denied a pregnant democrat a proxy vote after her doctor said she couldn’t fly for health reasons. Plus, she’d lost both legs in the ME. Guess her priorities are very clear, and all of the ME troubles and supporting Israel isn’t at the top of the list.

“How could a man in his high position be so utterly clueless to say something that absurd?”

I do not believe any of them are clueless. I think they know exactly what is happening and why. They just don’t care. Their sole motivation is politics and CYA. If they admit there is a problem, then by default it has happened on their watch. Kerry is a man without a conscience who will say anything to support the party agenda.

If you like red wine, try Barefoot Impression Red Blend (I get mine at WinCo). It responds well to “superdecant”. Pour some in a blender, give it 30 seconds, let it rest for about five minutes, and presto, aged and ready to drink. Enjoy.

Jack, want another out of the park heads up? Newly released documents tie Osama bin Laden to Iran prior to 911, and others showing he was very involved in the spread of terrorism just prior to his death and not retired as the Obama administration led us to believe.

This is really really big and needs to be spread as far and wide as we can get it and keep it up prior to the election next year.

New Docs Reveal Osama bin Laden’s Secret Ties With Iran:

“Show availability of Iran for al Qaeda training, plotting.

This week, prosecutors in New York introduced eight documents recovered in Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan as evidence in the trial of a terrorism suspect. The U.S. government accuses Abid Naseer of taking part in al Qaeda’s scheme to attack targets in Europe and New York City. And prosecutors say the documents are essential for understanding the scope of al Qaeda’s plotting.

More than 1 million documents and files were captured by the Navy Seals who raided bin Laden’s safe house in Abbottabad, Pakistan in May 2011. One year later, in May 2012, the Obama administration released just 17 of them.

While there is some overlap between the files introduced as evidence in Brooklyn and those that were previously made public in 2012, much of what is in the trial exhibits had never been made public before.

The files do not support the view, promoted by some in the Obama administration, that bin Laden was in “comfortable retirement,” “sidelined,” or “a lion in winter” in the months leading up to his death. On the contrary, bin Laden is asked to give his order on a host of issues, ranging from the handling of money to the movement of terrorist operatives.

Some of the key revelations in the newly-released bin Laden files relate to al Qaeda’s dealings with Iran and presence in Afghanistan.

A top al Qaeda operative asked bin Laden for permission to relocate to Iran in June 2010 as he plotted attacks around the world. That operative, Yunis al Mauritani, was a senior member of al Qaeda’s so-called “external operations” team, and plotted to launch Mumbai-style attacks in Europe.”

You are absolutely right RHT the whole Obama administration has been covering the butts while pushing their political agenda forward.

What they have done is brought us to the brink/cliff of WWWIII. God help us that our new president can get us out of this mess if it’s not too late.

Catching some of the CPAC speeches and interviews has been a very positive experience. We have several really good candidates to choose from, in my opinion.

  9. Peggy says:

Forgot to add, this new bin Laden information is very important for Obama’s talks with Iran about the nuclear bomb negotiations. Especially with Bibi coming to speak next week to Congress and Obama’s disrespectful treatment of him and his lack of support for Israel.

  10. Libby says:

    It’s pretty simple, actually:

    Clapper – “globally”
    Kerry – “Americans”

Both are probably correct, but Clapper will have to define his term even more clearly. The civil war in Syria has been truly deathly, but is it civil war or terrorism?

Why do you always go off half cocked?

There is an assumption here, you’re introducing an assumption as a fact and there’s no evidence to support that. If I am reaching a wrong conclusion then I am in good company, because virtually everyone (liberals to conservatives) outside the Obama loyalists saw it the same way I did.

  11. Peggy says:

Libby: “Why do you always go off half cocked?”

Excuse me! Do you not use your whole brain when you read things? What is John Kerry’s title? Clue…it’s SECRETARY OF STATE. His job is to deal with foreign matters as they relate to America. That’s why the position requires them to travel all over the world.

Both Clapper AND Kerry should be on the same page globally.

Clapper told Congress the truth this time because Obama threw him under the bus last time. Kerry is still covering for Obama and campaigning for 2016 to keep voters from knowing the truth about all of this administration’s failures.

We are a nation of Immigrants. I am also a daughter of the revolution. My ancestors ran into native Americans when they arrived. I am not sure of your heritage but I come from European descent. 16. Peggy says:

    Off topic:

Liberal liars are ramping up to get Hillary into the WH.

Fact Check: Washington Post’s Alyssa Rosenberg’s Errors:

“Could it be that pro-Clinton groups and advocates are working hard to controversialize the reporters whom they fear might dig into inconvenient facts? Are opinion writers and “news reporters” being placed at news outlets to spin public opinion a certain way in advance of the upcoming presidential election? Could it be an attempt at malicious retaliation against reporters who have exposed Clinton’s incorrect statements in the past?

    Questions worth asking.

Read “Hillary Clinton Dodging Sniper Fire” Tale

It can be argued that liberal opinion writers such as Rosenberg are entitled to advance their political agenda, and that they have no obligation to do research or be accurate. But when they write for a news organization such as the Washington Post, and intertwine their opinions with false facts, it’s irresponsible and indefensible.

Advancing narratives, unfounded claims and rumors has become normal operating procedure at many media outlets. In this way, they allow themselves to be used as tools by propagandists who desperately hope that if a falsehood is repeated often enough, it becomes accepted as the truth.

It’s what I refer to as the “false reality” created by astroturfers and propagandists using social media, bloggers and their partners in the news media.”

  17. Peggy says:

Georgia/AKA?: “We stole this land from the natives, and constantly break our standing treaties with them. We just can not rewrite history to suit any cause.”

Please explain if you can where the American Indians came from? Or do you believe the evolved out of dust or crawled out of a swamp? They too migrated here from other countries. Where is up to debate, but the fact that they came from the north, south or an island in the pacific have all been explored.

Do you also believe that all other countries were stolen when people migrated there? Do you believe the Germans stole Mexico from the Mexicans? If you listen to mariachi music you’ll notice it has a strong polka influence.

    German immigration to Mexico:

“A German Mexican (German: Deutsch-Mexikaner or Deutsch-Mexikanisch, Spanish: germano-mexicano or aleman-mexicano) is a Mexican citizen of German descent or origin. Most Ethnic Germans arrived in Mexico during the mid-to-late 19th century, spurred by government policies of Porfirio Diaz. Although a good number of them took advantage of the liberal policies then valid in Mexico and went into merchant, industrial and educational ventures, others arrived with none or limited capital, as employees or farmers.[3] Most settled in Mexico City, Veracruz, Yucatán, and Puebla. Significant numbers of German immigrants also arrived during and after the First and Second World Wars. The Plautdietsch language is also spoken by the descendants of German and Dutch Mennonite immigrants in the states of Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. Other German towns lie in the states of Nuevo León, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Yucatan, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, and other parts of Puebla, where the German culture and language have been preserved to different extents. The German-Mexican community has largely integrated into Mexican society as a whole whilst retaining some cultural traits and in turn exerted cultural and industrial influences on Mexican society. Specially after the First World War, intense processes of transculturation can be observed, especially in Mexico City, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, and notably, with the Maya in Chiapas. These include social, cultural and identity aspects.[4]”

    • Post Scripts says:

Peggy, that’s the trouble with this particularly leftist “liberal” point of view. They see that our European immigrants to the new land “stole” everything, but nobody else in history ever did. The “liberal” narrative is that Indians were virtual Saints and the greenest people that ever lived. Why they never conquered other tribes for land, lust or jealousy! They never kidnapped and raped the women of conquered tribes. They never burned down villages or took slaves! They were just one with nature, taking only what they needed, content to live and let live. They all generously helped all passing strangers in need too, for this was the Indian creed! (gag)

Nowhere was this ever true of course. It only exists in the twisted minds of liberals that never miss an opportunity to point out how evil and mean Americans are and how mean and evil our founders and early settlers were. The true leftist-liberal love shredding our hero’s and ideals. Our meanness, they say, is reflected in today’s society as we deny poor children a free lunch or kick grandma out of the hospital for lack insurance. Almost every liberal narrative is traceable back to cold-war communist propaganda. Communism is a first cousin to liberal socialism. They work side by side and the enemy is anyone who believes in capitalism, freedom and a democratic society. It’s been said over and over, but its so true and worth saying again: A “liberal” is not very liberal.

  18. Peggy says:

Just saw this and thought it so appropriate I had to share.

    Jeff, in Virginia wrote:
“Today’s Democrat Party bears no resemblance
to the party of Harry S. Truman.”

Harry Truman: “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”

  19. Peggy says:

All of these liberal lies fits right in with Obama’s threat to “transform America” and Michelle saying for the first time in her adult life she’s proud of America.

Telling the truth wouldn’t fit into their agenda of change. People wouldn’t want to change something that was good, honorable and worked. Even teaching our children through Common Core that the Boston Tea Party participants were terrorist guarantees future voters will also be ashamed of their heritage and support the continuation of the transformation. They will live in a socialist style state without any knowledge of the once great nation our Founders designed for them.

Have we been perfect? No, but hopefully we’ve learned from our mistakes and don’t repeat them.

We’ve survived similar leftist takeovers in the past and the voters responded to stop them. We can only trust they will do the same this time too.

  20. Peggy says:

Speaking of liberal lies here is another one. The second I’ve posted in just 24 hours. The first one was the liberal attacking Sharyl Attkisson.

Daily Beast retracts story on Scott Walker:

“Another major media outlet has apologized after getting a story about Scott Walker wrong. Last week, it was the New York Times; now, it’s The Daily Beast.

The Daily Beast has retracted an article from one of its college columnists that claimed that the Wisconsin governor’s budget would cut sexual assault reporting from the state’s universities.”

  21. Peggy says:

Jack, hate to say I told you so, but… I told you.

Why Are Conservatives So Bloody Mad About AP History?:

“The previous AP framework, which few have complained about, also gave time to identity group issues. Courses were expected to cover 12 themes such as “economic transformations” and “war and diplomacy.” One such theme was “American diversity,” which intended for students to learn about the ”roles of race, class, ethnicity, and gender in the history of the United States.”

In contrast, the new APUSH covers only seven core themes. While one of those themes is explicitly on “identity,” issues of race, gender, and class pop up in the other six as well. This focus, Robbins argues, encourages a narrative of American history that leads to a heavy focus on group conflict and resulting oppression, while de-emphasizing more positive parts of history.

“It’s all forces of history,” she said. “Nothing on what we see as the great things of our history.”

The emphasis on identity, she said, also reflects a subtle leftward tilt in the standards that did not exist before. Robbins pointed towards the new framework’s narrative on Manifest Destiny as a quintessential example of the new approach’s shortcomings. The portion of the framework dealing with Manifest Destiny reads, in full:

“The idea of Manifest Destiny, which asserted U.S. power in the Western Hemisphere and supported U.S. expansion westward, was based on a belief in white racial superiority and a sense of American cultural superiority, and helped to shape the era’s political debates.”

While this description isn’t false, Robbins said, the problem is one of omission. The College Board’s summary, she argues, reduces 19th-century Americans to “racists who thought they were better than other people,” while ignoring other more noble elements of Manifest Destiny, such as confidence in America’s republican system (as opposed to the monarchies of Europe) and the belief that this system should be an example to the world.

Robbins sees a similar issue in play with how the framework sums up Ronald Reagan’s foreign policy:

“President Ronald Reagan, who initially rejected detente with increased defense spending, military action, and bellicose rhetoric, later developed a friendly relationship with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, leading to significant arms reductions in both countries.”

“To any normal-thinking human being, that is a negative statement about Ronald Reagan,” said Robbins, who argues the wording paints Reagan as a foolish warmonger who “comes around” to the realization that a more conciliatory approach towards the Soviet Union was ideal.”

    http://dailycaller.com/2015/02/28/why-are-conservatives-so-bloody-mad-about-apush/

  22. Libby says:

Peggy … you sad, sad little person. “Manifest Destiny” was a (racist or not) shameless justification for one vociferously mongo land grab.

Deny it til you die … history ignores you.

And why ever are you angsting about it anyway? It’s done. And is unlikely to be undone. Why can you not appreciate, relish, glory in, the unbounded greed of your ancestors?

    Come on, Honey … wallow.

  24. Peggy says:

Libby, you are even sadder and litter person.

Why can you not see I am only asking that America be treated the same as all other countries that have acquired land that was once occupied by others? Why is only American history vilified for the same act as every other country on earth with the exception of Israel, which was given it’s land by the UN?

Tell me what other countries purchased their acquired land like we did with the Louisiana purchase and the Hidalgo treaty?

Enjoy wallowing in your muck filled with verbal vomit from other liberal liars. Or learn the truth and crawl out into the real world where most people are honest, love their country and want our children to have the liberties and freedom our Founders gave us.

We aren’t a perfect nation, but we have done more good for the world than most other nations combined.
