Do They Think We’re That Stupid?

by Jack

There seems to be quite a bit of controversy over Arab-Muslims immigrating to the USA asjohn-kerry-640x427 refugees. On one side we have Secretary of State, John Kerry, President Barack Obama and candidate Hillary Clinton advising the public that there is zero evidence Arab refugees going through the screening process, pose a greater risk than other groups. On the other side, we keep receiving news about terrorist incidents involving Arab immigrants to a number of host countries, including, but not limited to, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Sweden and England.

muslimsinswedenIt’s worth noting our intelligence agencies seem to disagree with this low risk assessment, and that includes John Brennan, CIA Chief. In a statement to Congress last week, Brennan warned that ISIS has a number of Western assets that could easily use refugee status to infiltrate into the United States and carry out terror attacks.   The immigration proponents have yet to explain their logic for making such blanket assumptions. Further, they have failed to address why a number of European countries have been experiencing a spike in crime, assimilation problems and terrorist attacks connected to Arab-Muslim immigration.

Too bad there isn’t a way for the proponents like Clinton, Obama and Kerry, to offermuslimss democracy-replacing-shariah themselves as test subjects to prove the validity of their opinions. But, that won’t happen. They want us to take the risks and face random terror attacks from any possible location at any possible time. Meanwhile, they live protected behind layers of security.

The risk of terrorism is a legitimate concern, but we also should know by now that a substantial number of Muslims worldwide place Islam and Sharia law before any nation’s government and laws.  Given that reality; it would seem that Muslim’s would not be coming here to embrace our Constitution and the many freedoms we hold sacred.

ObamaandpatIf we can learn anything from the European experience with Muslims, it would be they are not going to accept assimilation very well.  It’s more likely they will be insisting on concessions from us to accommodate them.   In that context, they would not make the sort of immigrant population that has benefited past generations.

So, why would Obama want this sort of immigration if the risks are too high? Because he’s in denial. You need only look at how he was raised, and his Muslim background. Obama has this idealized version of Islam and he’s embraced this false perception to the point where he’s not objective. He sees only the good. This is why he has shielded Muslims from just criticism many times in the past. Kerry and Clinton are his political puppets. They will do and say whatever they see as being their best interests. I strongly feel if it was a choice between their political advancement and our nation’s decline, we’re going to lose every time.

Trump said it right when he said God help us if Hillary ever gets into the White House.

Jack: “You need only look at how he was raised, and his Muslim background.”

Obama does not have a Muslim background.

America is much better at assimilating immigrant populations than Europe is, and Muslim Americans are just as assimilated as any other group. We have not allowed Muslims to be segregated into ghettos like European countries have. Economically our Muslim population is much better off than those in European countries. There Muslims make up a large portion of those receiving welfare benefits, which is not the case here.

    http://www.politifact.com/nbc/statements/2016/jun/18/donald-trump/donald-trump-wrong-theres-no-real-assimilation-us-/

I am not saying there is no reason to worry about the threat of ISIS. But it is also easy to exaggerate the threat with comparisons to other countries that ignore America is simply better at certain things than they are, and one of those things is assimilation. We should screen each refugee to the greatest degree possible, but our system is already better than any other in the world at ensuring that immigrants integrate into our society.

Obama does not have a Muslim background.

Ridiculous! Obama brags about the time he spent in Indonesia:

“I was a little Jakarta street kid,” he said in a wide-ranging interview in his office (excerpts are on my blog, http://www.nytimes.com/ontheground). He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics — and more likely to be aware of their nationalism — if he once studied the Koran with them.

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

His family includes Muslims. See here, here, and here:

In one of his rare speeches from the Oval Office, on Dec. 6, 2015 Obama devoted much of his 14-minute presentation to promoting Islam to the American people. Obama declared in prepared remarks, “The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country – I know, because I am one of them.”

Of course he has a Muslim background.

“…America is simply better at certain things than they are, and one of those things is assimilation. We should screen each refugee to the greatest degree possible, but our system is already better than any other in the world at ensuring that immigrants integrate into our society.”

We know America WAS better at assimilation. The Boston bombers were the children of parents that didn’t assimilate according to a WSJ writer who interviewd them for the Voice of America “Alan Cullison recently talked to the parents, Zubeidat and Anzor Tsarnaev, who admit the family did not adjust well in America.”

In the San Bernardno attack we learned that the wife passed the “counter-terrorism screening as part of her vetting” for a visa by Homeland Security and Mom was right there in the house while they were making plans.

There’s more but I need to leave here and head out. There is no reason to be unreasonably fearful; there are many reasons to be very concerned.

November is coming soon. We need someone in the WH who has not been a part of the current failed administration!

  2. Pie Guevara says:

Yes, they think we are that stupid. As stupid as progressive Europe is. With good reason. Just look at stupid Chris and Obama for example.

At least the current chief of the CIA is not as stupid as Obama, Hillary, Kerry, Chris, Democrats et. al. We should be thankful a man with intelligence, knowledge and honor is at the helm of the CIA.

  3. Libby says:

I don’t understand why you and Tina are so fervid, why you want to savage your integrity over Obama, a person soon no longer to be President.

You have made several statements in this post you know perfectly well are untrue.

    Why?

  4. Pie Guevara says:

At least the current chief of the CIA is not as stupid as Obama and his witless liar tool Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

  5. Chris says:

Tina, to me “Muslim background” implies that Obama was at some point himself a Muslim. It would be weird for someone to describe their “Christian background” if they were never at any point a Christian. But if Jack simply meant it in the way you described then I suppose we just see that phrase differently.

“We know America WAS better at assimilation.”

The Pew poll referenced in the Politifact article is only from 2011. I’d be surprised if opinions and demographics of Muslims have changed significantly since then. I think this is something we are still pretty good at. The Tsarnevs are an exception, and exceptional cases make bad law. I wouldn’t restrict refugees because of them, though I would do everything possible to make sure refugees are well screened.

    • Post Scripts says:

Chris, if you had a legal background it does not make you lawyer. You should not read into my use of the word, “background.” It’s just a generic word used to describe an association or familiarity.

Barack Obama said, “I was not raised in a particularly religious household. I had a father who was born a Muslim but became an atheist, grandparents who were non-practicing Methodists and Baptists, and a mother who was skeptical of organized religion. I didn’t become a Christian until … I moved to the South Side of Chicago after college.” We also know he attended a Muslim school in his youth and there he had to learn many things from the Koran. Obama once referred to the Muslim call to prayer as one of the most beautiful sounds he ever heard. That does not make him a Muslim, it only shows that he had an appreciation (acknowledged many times) and he demonstrated an understanding of Islam. It all goes to form his background with Islam among other things. That was my foundation for saying he had an idealized or utopian vision of what Islam is and that influenced him to be fairly protective and deflect criticism of Islam.

      • Chris says:

Jack: “Chris, if you had a legal background it does not make you lawyer. You should not read into my use of the word, “background.” It’s just a generic word used to describe an association or familiarity.”

        That’s fair, Jack.

“We also know he attended a Muslim school in his youth”

From what I can gather this is somewhat misleading. According to Politifact, “The great preponderance of substantiated evidence indicates Obama attended a public school that taught a small amount of mainstream Islam.”

Obama also attended a Catholic school at one point. Snopes says this: ” The school Barack Obama attended in Indonesia was “Muslim” primarily in the sense that the preponderance of its student body was Muslim (because Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country), but both the Muslim and Catholic schools he attended in Indonesia offered a few hours of religious instruction each week.”

        http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2007/dec/20/chain-email/obama-attended-an-indonesian-public-school/

        http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/Muslim.asp

I do agree that Obama’s understanding of and appreciation for the religion is different from that of past presidents. I, however, see that as a benefit rather than a drawback. As for his “utopian” vision of Islam, I think such a vision is needed to combat the dystopian vision promoted by ISIS and extreme anti-Islam critics alike. Islam isn’t going anywhere, and radical Islam will only lose power as the utopians gain more power and influence within the religion.

        • Tina says:

          Islamweb.net:

A young child is not considered non-Muslim as long as one of his parents is a Muslim. … The majority of Muslim scholars (Hanafis, Shaafi‘is and Hanbalis) maintained that the key factor in this regard is that either parent is Muslim, be it the mother or father; the children are then Muslims as a consequence of their Muslim parent, because Islam prevails and no other religion prevails over it, since it is the religion of Allaah which He is pleased with for His slaves. … The Shaafi ‘is held that if the young child’s grandfather or great grandfather is a Muslim, then the grandchildren (descendants) are considered Muslims accordingly, even if the father is a non-Muslim and is still alive, because Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith – We will join with them their descendants…}[Quran 52:21] …Ath-Thawri said: ‘When the young boy reaches puberty, he is given the choice between taking on the religion of his father or that of his mother. Whichever he chooses, it becomes his religion.'”

Is this why Obama has referred to himself as a Muslim and of “Muslim background?” Is this why Obama was considered a Muslim in school in Indonesia…which explains the notation in his school records? Michelle also referred to him as a Kenyan and his relatives there are Muslim. Don’t the radicals believe that anyone who leaves the faith should be put to death?

The point of all of this is that Obama does not behave like a person who puts American values ahead of Islamic values. He will not criticize, he will not condemn with strong language, other than to say their values are not the values of Islam and they are not islam.

The point of that is this: Who determines, and will determine, how the texts are interpreted? Terrorists and Tyrants seem to be winning in that contest. What do we do? Sit back and hope it will turn out okay? Appease the dark side in case they win?

          • Post Scripts says:

Geez, nice find Tina. I had no idea, but I should have guessed that’s how they would feel about it.

          • Chris says:

“The point of all of this is that Obama does not behave like a person who puts American values ahead of Islamic values. He will not criticize, he will not condemn with strong language, other than to say their values are not the values of Islam and they are not islam.”

Well, Bush did the exact same thing, saying that the terrorists “hijacked” Islam and that “Islam is a religion of peace.” So by your logic, Bush also did not behave like someone who put American values over Islamic values.

What exactly are you asking Obama to criticize?

  6. Libby says:

Well, I don’t know. Maybe you were both just being politically correct some years back when you both, though Jack more than Tina, disowned all this birther, Obama is a Muslim, horsepucky.

Seemingly, you embrace it now in an effort to legitimize your candidate … which, I’m telling you, is a lost cause. Paul Ryan has destroyed any aspirations he may have cherished to higher office. Do you want to destroy our own credibility, here in our little backwater?

    • Chris says:

I don’t think they meant to imply that Obama is a Muslim, Libby, but I can see why you got that impression from the article.

As for Ryan, I think he acquitted himself fairly well in the questions about the sit-in today. I watched C-SPAN today for the first time in a long time–it was fascinating, but only because the behavior of the Democrats yesterday was so appalling. (And to be fair, plenty of Republicans joined in on the yelling and screaming too. It was a garbage fire on all sides.) Ryan’s answers were convincing and he made good points about upholding the decorum and rules of the House.

But then of course he was asked about Trump, which you could tell he was sick of being asked about, and he reiterated that he thinks a President Clinton is far more of a threat than a President Trump. This, of course, is partisan silliness, but I don’t think you can expect any more.

    • Tina says:

Alleged sexual assault by 3 young refugee boys on a 5 year old Idaho girl has small town community outraged.

Idaho town torn by alleged rape, fear of refugees:

“An alleged sexual assault on a five-year-old special needs girl has put a small Idaho city at the center of the debate over the Obama administration’s move to take in hundreds of thousands of refugees.

Much of what occurred in the June 2 incident is unclear, clouded by emotion and rumor and sealed from public record due to the suspects’ ages. At a raucous public meeting Monday, dozens of residents of the city of 44,000 voiced their concerns after word had spread that young Syrian refugees had gang-raped a little girl at knifepoint, defiling her in unspeakable ways.

Some of what they had heard was true, some was not and still more remains unconfirmed speculation. But authorities believe something terrible occurred. Two young boys were arrested Friday and remain in custody.

“This is a serious crime and we are handling it the way we handle all such crimes,” Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs told FoxNews.com. “We’re still in the fairly early stages of investigating this.”

Despite the hot-button issue of refugee resettlement, the story has gained little traction with the national media, and Internet fact-check site Snopes.com has labeled the information circulating on the web as “mostly false.” According to Loebs, the three assailants, ages 7, 10 and 14, are not Syrian, but may be refugees. The girl was not raped, but is believed to have been sexually assaulted, he said.

The day after the arrests, local residents formed the Facebook community “Justice for Our Children” in support of the young victim and her family that has more than 9,000 members. A petition was circulated, attracting more than 2,500 signatures in less than three days.”

  8. Pie Guevara says:

Yeah, right Chris, Obama was not raised a Muslim and never went to a Muslim school and his father and grandfather were not Muslims. This contradicts what he has said about himself.

    “My Muslim faith.”

“I think, on one hand, non-Muslims cannot stereotype, but I also think the Muslim community has to think about how we make sure that children are not being affected with this twisted notion that somehow they can kill innocent people.”

*** how WE make sure *** Get that?

“Obama’s half-sister has also shared that her father attended mosque for larger events and holidays, seemingly refuting the contention that he was not religious. Childhood friends also mentioned that Barack attended mosque too and that they remembered praying together.

Barack also wore a sarong, even when he moved to the United States. In Indonesian culture, only Muslims wear the sarong.”

    http://www.wnd.com/2015/11/did-obama-just-say-hes-a-muslim-again/

Yeah, Chris, cover your ears, cover you eyes, whatever floats your boat in your bizarre progressive fantasy world. If only you would cover your fool’s mouth and give us a break from your nonsense.

To me it doesn’t really much matter whether Obama was ever a Muslim or not. Or if he secretly identifies as a Muslim. Obama’s only religion is Obama. He is his own god and prophet, and you are just another one of his mindless acolytes.

    • Chris says:

      WND?

      You’re a moron.

      • Tina says:

Chris you are an ignorant, closed minded, biased, nasty person.

From Peggy’s link: “The headline on C-SPAN following a recent Obama speech in Turkey read: “Did President Obama Just Admit He Was Muslim?C-SPAN said, “Pay attention to when he uses the word ‘we.’”

C-SPAN…weren’t you just telling us about spending the day on that channel? Are they also scum, according to you, for wondering and posing simple questions?

You know, you give the impression that you think people who don’t agree with you have no right to participate in our country at all.

        • Chris says:

          1) It wasn’t Peggy’s link, it was Pie’s.

          2) If you click the C-SPAN link in the WND article, there is a clear disclaimer at the top that says “This clip, title, and description were not created by C-SPAN.” So no, C-SPAN is not “scum.”

          3) It was a slip of the tongue. If Obama really were a super-secret Muslim, I’m pretty sure he’d keep a better lid on it then this.

          4) Earlier I defended you and said I didn’t think you were trying to make implications about Obama’s religion. Thanks for making me regret that.

          • Tina says:

Big deal, there was a disclaimer. Did you bother to notice what was being covered? The disclaimer was standard for footage they did not create. C-Span still ran it!

Your attempt to seem reasonable doesn’t impress me too much. I know you will revert right back to the snarky demeaning vibe.

I know it was you who brought the birther issue to PS and I know you view someone with open minded curiosity about it as a birther…good lefty label…gives you an excuse to play the gotcha game. There is nothing reasonable about what you bring when you come here.

You find a way every single day to annoy me and others. I put up with you because I believe in the long run you reveal yourself to be exactly what I see, a tool of the radical progressive left and it’s ugly divisive authoritarian agenda.

Apologies to Pie for not crediting him as the source of the C-Span video.
