Morning News – Better Skip It and Have a Nice Day

by Jack

You would have to be a complete fool or have some sinister hidden agenda to oppose No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, HR 3003.  This bill will ensure that American taxpayers are not subsidizing sanctuary States and localities that thwart Federal law enforcement efforts.  The bill will restrict their eligibility to receive certain Department of Justice or Department of Homeland Security grants and provide for more aggressive detention of criminal aliens.   Of course… Democrats oppose HR 3003, because they play hardball partisan politics.  Seems to me that they care less about doing what is good for the nation, and more about placating their Hispanic voters.  Any legislation that might make Trump and conservatives look good is definitely off their agenda.  It’s all about partisan advantage for them.

Tensions rise over North Korea’s long range missile testing.  Their history for developing and testing nuclear bombs matches precisely with the threatening statements they’ve been making to us.

Consider… for the last 60 years the North Koreans have brainwashed their people to hate America beyond all reason.   70-80% of their economy has gone into war preparations, even if it meant starving the peasantry.  We’re seen as the most dangerous, despicable, and perverted nation ever to exist in the history of the world.  In their collective minds, America and her people should be turned to ashes!  This is the level of hate that forms the bases of their cradle to grave indoctrination program.

They’ve made no secret that they are seeking to construct long range nuclear weapons, quite the contrary, they’ve bragged about it!  Despite protests, sanctions, and UN resolutions they forge ahead with a zealot like obsession.  The more advanced their nuclear program has become the more intense and frequent their rhetoric has become to destroy America.

Days ago a missile launch by North Korea proved they have long range missiles capable of delivery nuclear warheads.   Even if you think they still don’t have the range, and they soon will.  Imagine what a nuke detonated near Washington, New York, Boston or Baltimore would do?  The devastation would make 9-11 look like a tiny pin prick.  Hundreds of thousands would die in a flash of white, perhaps millions would die and a nuke would lay waste to the blackened land for a 1000 years.   However, if America was not their first choice, it could be Seoul, South Korea or a half dozen other closer targets.

No rogue nation like Iran, Syria, or North Korea, should ever be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.  To sit by and let that happen would be grossly cowardly and irresponsible.

In the recent past Democrat leaders tried to appease North Korea by giving them technology, money and food.  But, in the end it only allowed them to accelerate their nuclear program.

China was our last best hope of stopping North Korea’s nuclear program.  However, so far China has next to done nothing.  China has only fawned concerns while making vague promises that they will probably, maybe, get right on it…some day.

The NYTimes writes, “The North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency said its new intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwasong-14, was capable of hitting the “heart of the United States” with “large heavy nuclear warheads.” The launch, according to the agency, successfully tested the functions of the missile’s two propulsive stages and the warhead’s ability to endure the intense heat and vibrations as it entered the earth’s atmosphere.”

Yeah, this is a big deal and the president has very few options left.

NK couldn’t exist without China’s support. Period.
Perhaps it’s time we started placing sanctions on China to “assist” them in bringing NK to heel.

Just a matter of time until the US will HAVE to destroy an NK missile that is headed toward civilians.

Jack the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act” might have been better named the , “No Sanctuary Criminals Act.” Locals that refuse to cooperate with federal agents to uphold federal immigration laws are flouting the law. Sanctuary cities have been around for more than 35 years, apparently. Our tolerance should have limits, in particular when it comes to alien criminals that are repeat offenders.

In addition to the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act,” the House passed “Kate’s Law” to increase maximum penalties for criminal aliens who attempt to re-enter the country. Two dozen Democrats supported the bill. The Hill reports that, “Senate Democrats are expressing confidence that they’ll be able to block the bills if they are brought up for a vote.”

Kate Steinle, for whom the bill was named, was fatally shot in 2015 in Sanctuary San Francisco by a man who had had seven previous felony convictions and was deported to Mexico on five previous occasions.

Hopefully these bills will both get signed into law. I doubt that any of the authorities in the various cities have given the slightest thought to the consequences to our nation of their overt efforts to undermine the rule of law.

“I doubt that any of the authorities in the various cities have given the slightest thought to the consequences to our nation of their overt efforts to undermine the rule of law.” I know San Francisco could care less, they just awarded some illegal 3.3 million bucks because someone in the police department turned the guy over to border patrol and they deported his criminal butt. How SF could justify paying that award is beyond all comprehension from those who are sane.

Looks like the story of the day, Korea, captured both of us this AM. Video of the dictator basking in the forced animated applause of his military and citizens is playing across our screens. Hmmm…more phony posturing.

    Good article, Jack.

    • Post Scripts says:

Yup, the last thing we need is for this nutjob in North Korea to have a weapon that could kill hundreds of thousands of Americans in a matter of minutes. Do we really want that hanging over our heads? I think not. Even if it means war with North Korea the stakes are too high and the options are fewer with every launch. The entire North Korean regime should stand trial for crimes against humanity after the war is over.

  4. Tina says:

Fox reports the portly dictator’s pride as he issued a threat to the US: ” Kim Jong Un called Tuesday’s launch of a long-range ballistic missile a “brilliant victory” and promised that more “gift packages” will be given to Americans.

This dude is no historian, nor has he noticed Trump is no push over (Thank God!)

    • Chris says:

Trump has refused to take the Russian cyber attacks seriously according to his own staff, and wants to roll back sanctions in exchange for nothing. He does nothing but parrot Russian propaganda by casting doubt on the conclusion of our intelligence agencies that they meddled and kissing Putin’s ass at every available opportunity. He’s a total pushover, as long as you have the right dirt on him. Think Putin has shared that dirt with North Korea yet? Think he won’t?

      • Tina says:

Wow such big bad talk, Chris. Been reading the NYT? Following CNN?

Trump realizes that lies, distortions, and attempts to damage Trump and his cabinet have created a fog of unreliable information. It’s futile to spend much time on what is becoming an old story. Trump also has more important things to do. You’d know that if you would look outside the MSM/Democrat Tweet obsession and smear campaign.

The Associated Press (AP), from which many news talkers gather information, was forced to retract the much repeated assertion that “17 intelligence agencies” agreed that Russia had interfered with the election, clarifying that in fact only 3 agencies came to that conclusion. (@ the link-The AP has already taken down the video of the retraction). The NYT issued the same retraction. (Al Franken willfully lied again after beig corrected by James Clapper.

More to the point, where was Obama…HE WAS THE ONE IN OFFICE. He did nothing about Russian cyber attacks until after the shock of the Trump win. In fact the date was December 29, 2016. He ordered sanctions against Russia…a last ditch effort to wipe the egg from his face before leaving office. Putin made fun of him:

The president’s executive order sanctioned nine entities and individuals: the GRU and the FSB, two Russian intelligence services; and four individual officers of the GRU. In addition, the Treasury designated two Russians for using cyber-enabled means to cause misappropriation of funds and personal identifying information.

The State Department is also shutting down two Russian compounds, in Maryland and New York, used by Russian personnel for intelligence gathering, and declared the 35 Russian intelligence operatives as “persona non grata.” The personnel and their families, from the Russian Embassy in Washington and the Russian Consulate in San Francisco, were given 72 hours to leave the U.S.

A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin said the Kremlin regrets the U.S. actions and will consider retaliatory measures.

“You realize, of course, reciprocal steps will be made and the U.S. Embassy in Moscow and, quite possibly, the consulates will be cut down to size as well,” Vladimir Dzhabarov, deputy chairman of the foreign policy committee in the Russian Duma, told the Tass news agency after the sanctions were announced.

The Russian Embassy in London posted a photo on Twitter of a duckling with the word “lame” on it, a reference to Mr. Obama. The tweet also called his actions “Cold War deja vu.”

“Everybody, incl [American] people, will be glad to see the last of this hapless Adm.,” the tweet said.

A Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said any action against Russian diplomatic missions in the U.S. “will immediately bounce back on U.S. diplomats in Russia.”

Obama remained silent and did nothing for months because he believed, as YOU did, that Hillary was a shoe in and Trump had zero chance. It was also pretty clear that he did not want an investigation that might expose Hillary’s campaign undermining the election to stop Bernie and his much more successful campaign.

Russia may have meddled all right but there is zero evidence that Trump had anything to do with it. There’s a hell of lot of evidence suggesting that Obama’s administration may have broken the law in it’s surveillance of the Trump campaign. See here, here, and here.

Your so-called professional media is not interested in the facts about . they collude with democrats and trump knows it very well. the more they spend their time trying to undermine what he has promised the American people he will do the more he will speak against them in kind. Which reminds me…where was CNN, NYT, AP and the rest when the Obama activists were interfering in the Israeli election? And where or where was YOUR outrage?!!!!!

In today’s news Ted Cruz points out that CNN may have broken the law when they celebrated the birth of our free nation by threatening the maker of the CNN video.

Your party/media lies and will do and say anything in this hateful vindictive pursuit against Trump, the Republican Party, and it’s many supporters. You’re all as phony and deceitful as hell and I’m damn fed up with the constant waterfall of sanctimonious false accusations and arrogant, know-it-all preaching.

You don’t know anything about Trump and Putin or what will happen in tlks between them. You’re all attitude and a bad one at that!

        • Chris says:

I don’t understand how you can criticize Obama for “doing nothing” about Russia when Trump wants to roll back the sanctions Obama opposed! That makes no sense. And if he had done more during the election you would have said he was trying to influence the election. You know you would have.

National security experts agree that the Russian cyber-attack on our country was unprecedented and will happen again. And your defense of Trump doing literally nothing (according to Sessions) is that “he has better things to do?” He can find time to golf and vacation more than any other president at this point in their terms, he can find time to search through Reddit to tweet memes he found, and he can find time to gab about facelifts, but he can’t find the time to address an attack on our country?

Your comparison of this hacking attack with Obama *criticizing* Netanyahu, and calling both “interference,” is a neat trick but it won’t work.

You’re right to call out the media for being wrong on the “17 intelligence agencies” claim, but the three that did conclude Russia was behind the attack are the FBI, the NSA and the CIA. Do you or do you not think that it’s wise for a sitting president to mock these organizations on foreign soil? Do you or do you not think doing so gives Russia exactly what they want?

          • Tina says:

An attack on our country? Or an embarrassing situation for Democrats?

Defense of Trump? Trump needs no defense in terms of wrong doing in this are; he’s the one in the left’s cross hairs. Your party was talking impeachment before he was inaugurated.

The question is…why are people like you willing to defend and excuse the media (and leftists leaders) when they are found out again and again. Lies and examples of bias have been piling up against your side since Ted Kennedy left Mary Jo Kopechne to die in the water at Chappaquiddick (my lifetime) and nothing is done about it. When words are used to expose the criminality, errors, and fraudulent promises, bias and lies, the spin and deflection, you guys turn and find another line of attack. I have yet to see any truly embarrassed or humiliated. There is never a sincere apology or retraction. And the guilty do not lose their positions, in fact they are promoted and rewarded!

Where’s the humility on the left? Where’s the honesty? Where is the moral courage to step outside that lockstep narrative and tell the truth?

I’ve said very little about this Russian hacking story. It’s inside the spin machine and most of what comes out is meaningless tripe. This has been going on longer than you’ve been alive but it’s gotten much worse in the last 16 to 20 years. When I witnessed the media fawning over Obama and promoting him in 08 I knew they had gone over the falls.

If you had a more open mind you might realize Trump is doing journalists in this country a favor, especially the good ones. It’s time the puffed up arrogant pretenders were shown the door. Before Trump came along those that tried civil words could not penetrate.

When people refuse to get it through words and discussion, through examples and evidence, we are forced turn to other methods…sometimes they can be embarrassing or painful.

Here’s something I know. The spy game is constant…governments do it, businesses do it, politicians do it. Our intelligence community obviously failed. The question is why? One of the things Trump is doing about it is working with companies to upgrade our computer systems. (Did you hear about that in the MSM or were they obsessed with Russian hacking and Tweets?)

Here’s something else we know…the DNC and Hillary/Podesta were easy hacks.

Here’s another thing I know. Putin and Trump will work out their relationship despite media speculation and angst…both are shrewd and both know it. It could take some time.

Here’s another…Trump stepped into the presidency at a time when relations worldwide had already become dicey. The media will do all it can to hang everything around his neck.

Here’s something else I know. The President isn’t mocking the intelligence agencies just for kicks. He’s telling them (since kind words don’t penetrate and activist operatives need to be removed) to get their act together and weed out the vermin embedded in their organizations. And…Trump is leading in ways you do not recognize since you’re used to style and symbolism over work and substance.

Obama didn’t just “criticize” Netanyahu, he sent a team of activist to Israel to campaign against Netanyahu and used taxpayer grant money (fungible funds) to do it:

Newsmax, “Obama Operatives Try to Sway Israel’s Election”

Washington Times, “Obama admin. sent taxpayer money to campaign to oust Netanyahu”

NY Times, “Former Obama Campaign Aide Now Works to Oust Netanyahu”

The Hill, “Netanyahu pollster: Obama role in election larger than reported”

I’ve suggested before that you have no idea who is now running the party you trust and favor…or what their real goals are.

A few days or hours of respite do not compare at this point to the lavish lifestyle enjoyed by the Obama’s. Trump also works much harder by my calculations.

Please knock off the “do you or do you not” questions. I don’t have to answer to you, especially when you so often ascribe attitudes and thoughts to me that I do not hold

It’s PAST time for Clowngress to abide by the same rules they enact for the rest of us. Well done, Judicial Watch!

That was a stinkin’ sneaky thing they did to get around the law. Hope JW’s notice adds to the pressure they’re under to keep their word.

      LOL

Sure would get their butts at the table to solve the mess created by ObamaCare.

McConnell said this morning he was going to work with Democrats if Republicans didn’t agree upon a plan. If you like ObamaCare it’s looking like you may be able to keep it.

What will Trump do when he get home?

  6. Drive By Republican says:

“I don’t understand how you can criticize Obama for “doing nothing” about Russia when Trump wants to roll back the sanctions Obama opposed!”

OH MY! The only problem here is that this take (from someone who gives every indication of being a stereotypical leftist stooge) is total horse pucky . When the left cannot engage in a logical, valid argument, they make stuff up and argue that instead. Ann Coulter and Jonah Goldberg have made that point quite clearly countless times with with innumerable examples.

“But senior administration officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to detail internal discussions, said they had substantial concerns. They insist that they are not trying to weaken sanctions on Russia, but rather are concerned that the legislation usurps the president’s authority to impose such penalties, and could undercut both the international coalition that supports the existing sanctions and the administration’s ability to credibly signal to Moscow that it is willing to ease them in exchange for changes in behavior.”

Oddly, this was reported in that yellow liberal journal and Democrat party propaganda arm, the New York Times. This detail “IN EXCHANGE FOR CHANGES IN BEHAVIOR” doesn’t really quite fit the story the fake news clowns and their stooges are trying to sell now does it? Of course we have the old “anonymous” officials thing here, so the NYT could have just made it up. (But I can’t fathom why it would in this case.)

It is not at all unreasonable that President Trump would want to have as much flexibility as possible when dealing with Putin. Of course, Congress may not give it to him and then the usual leftist yellow journalism clowns and their stooges will jump all over him if he vetoes it. (Or even if he does not.)

Whatever happens, it will be the job of the President to convince the international commission to go along with any changes, not Congress.
