Ladies of NARAL Protest Supreme Court

by Jack

Since the first day that Justice Kennedy hinted that he wanted to retire the democrats and their fellow radicals have been in a tizzy. They have been freaking out with fear that Roe V. Wade would be reversed with the next Justice. I don’t think this was a question posed to any of the candidates. Trump said he never asked about it.

The picture on left is from the news today and it shows NARAL members in a protest outside the Supreme Court. So, are the libs just creating a red herring to divert attention their way or are they truly concerned? I suspect a its probably a little of both.

I went to their (NARAL) website and I was immediately informed, “7 out of 10 Americans are pro-choice.” Really? Then I came across this on another site, “Six in 10 Americans (60 percent), including 61 percent of women, say abortion is “morally wrong.” One-third of pro-choice Americans agree (33 percent). In addition, nearly 7 in 10 Americans (68 percent), including 69 percent of women, oppose taxpayer funding of abortion.” Wait a just a New York minute. . . I may not be the brightest bulb in the box, but one of these websites must be deliberately lying, they are so far apart!

According to a Gallop poll, the NARAL people are lying. Check this out, it’s from the Weekly Standard: “According to the poll, 48 percent of Americans say they are “pro-life,” while 45 percent say they are “pro-choice.” What’s more, opposition to abortion is rather plainly on the rise, as those numbers were effectively flipped ten years ago — and as, in the mid-1990s, the number of people who considered themselves “pro-choice” outpaced the number who considered themselves “pro-life” by about 20 percentage points.” How important is polling to the Supreme Court? According to their agreement with the rules, it’s not important at all. A populace movement has no bearing. What is important (as far as their solemn duty goes) is determining if a law is in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.

  1. J. Soden says:

“There are three kinds of lies, lies, damned lies and statistics.” Quote by Benjamin Disraeli that was quoted by Mark Twain in his autobiography.
These days, ya gotta add “poll results” to Disraeli’s quote . . . . .

    • Pie Guevara says:

The poll results depend on on the wording of the poll you nit wit.

Pew is this: Should abortion be legal or illegal?
Gallup is this: Do you identify as pro-life or pro-choice?

So, of course there will be a discrepancy. Which is a valid measure? Which is invalid?

Such is the nature of statistics, Lippy.

  2. Tina says:

The thing that seems to be growing within the electorate is unease regarding abortion. Most don’t want it to be illegal but a growing number believes sensible restrictions should apply.

When Roe was sold to the public radical feminists pushing for legalized abortion stated it should be safe, legal, and RARE.

Since then they’ve shown their true colors and come out to promote abortion on demand all the way up to the moment of birth!

Evidence of unethical and illegal activities within abortion circles, that should sicken any human being, barely invoked a gasp from most radical feminists. Some agree with the abhorrent beliefs of Margaret Sanger, that certain people in our society should not be allowed to have babies…she considered abortion a smart way to eliminate the less desirable (mostly poor black for Sanger) elements. Libby asked me about this very earnestly on this blog one time.

References: The American Spectator, “Reflections on Roe: When Margaret Sanger Spoke to the KKK”

CNS News, “Was Margaret Sanger a Racist?”

Margaret Sanger spoke to a women’s organization affiliated with the KKK and she started the Negro Project to bring birth-control information and clinics to impoverished southern African-Americans. Moreover, the Planned Parenthood founder unequivocally preached a creed of “race improvement,” which meant refining the gene pool and controlling and limiting the reproduction of human beings whom she thought weakened the human race. She clearly saw “Negroes” as among those members of the human race whose reproduction she wanted to control. And there is no doubt that the KKK, being absolute racists, would have lauded that.

Was Sanger plotting to eliminate all blacks? Of course, not. But she was plotting to control the reproduction of blacks and of the human race generally. She was a racial eugenicist. Was she a racist-eugenicist? Be careful. Really, even Margaret Sanger’s abortion views are not entirely clear. That is something that I’ve also written about many times for years.

What else can be said for certain about Sanger and race? If the person we’re describing here was a prominent conservative rather than a progressive icon, this would be grounds for liberals to completely discredit and outright destroy that conservative.

So…unease and discomfort are seeping into the psyches of the American people. Just as backstreet abortions made people uneasy prior to Roe (legal and safe) so do abortion on demand and late term abortion (not rare…lack of responsibility) make people uncomfortable today. People are looking for solutions.

If a case comes before the Supreme Court that results in the overturning of Roe the only thing that will happen is the decision will revert to the individual states. I believe most will keep it legal but place apply much stronger restrictions.

Modern technology has given us the ability to observe the development of a baby in the womb and the ability to save babies who are born prematurely. We’ve witnessed miraculous early births where we observe the strong will to live in a new life. It’s no longer possible to pretend a developing child is just a blob of cells.

We’ve come to a moment for women to redeem themselves and restore self respect. It’s time for women to demonstrate respect for the role they play in bringing new life into the world and it’s time we took the responsibility seriously. It’s time to once again revere all life…a developing child in the womb being no exception. Abortion as a means of birth control is not in line with the promise of rare instances of abortion…it’s just not acceptable…and it should be up to those who wish to keep abortion legal to transform their rhetoric to encourage a new reality. The screaming, bullying approach they now employ makes all women look childish, foolish, and self interested. Time to grow up…time to approach this issue as adults.

    • Libby says:

Drivel … and you’re doing it again. Well, you’re not. It’s being spoon-fed to you by nefarious agents.

It is not possible to discredit a concept with the behavior of a single individual.

And we’ll make an attempt to “grow up”, if you’ll make an attempt to mind your own business.

      • Pie Guevara says:

        ONE???

Sanger wasn’t the only eugenics racist. A lot of Democrats were and are too. The idea was to keep the inferior black population down or at least in line.

Then the welfare state grew explosively and Democrats realized that the way to keep blacks on the Democratic Party plantation AND destroy the black family was the twin swords of abortion and welfare. LBJ knew this all too well.

        It worked. Congratulations, Lippy.

        • Libby says:

“Sanger wasn’t the only eugenics racist.”

But we are talking about reproductive rights, a concept many people espouse, and will continue to espouse, regardless of the dirt you dish re Marge … or anybody else.

      • Tina says:

When you can’t refute a position you revert to snide meaningless remarks or implying I can’t think for myself. Very ineffective.

I’ve seen no signs of radical feminists intentions to grow up…just the opposite!

I am a woman. I am a citizen of these United States. This IS my business!

        • Libby says:

To tell other people how to live their lives? … no, Tina, that is not your privilege, your right, or your business.

          • Post Scripts says:

Libby, if NARAL has their way who will defend the rights of the unborn? Do you think a child in womb who is in the 3rd trimester should be aborted? No? Then tell me, who will speak for this infant’s right to life?

          • Libby says:

Tina, again, that situation concerns the woman and her doctor, not you.

          • Tina says:

I’m not telling other people how to live their lives.

I am expressing an opinion about how our nation should thunk about and create LAW about ENDING a conceived life…my right, my privilege and my business as a citizen.

I am also expressing an opinion that women have acted, and continue to act, irresponsibly regarding abortion…also my right, privilege and business.

If you were the type of person who actually got what I have written instead of pasting your own basket of prejudices on top of it you might find we actually agree on the issue on certain points.

  3. Pie Guevara says:

Here is an interesting tracking poll showing how Americans have been flip-flopping on the abortion issue since 2009.

  4. Pie Guevara says:

How bat-guano bonkers has the progressive left gone since the nomination of Kavannaugh? As crazy as always.

Two examples I thought were absolutely hilarious —

    NARAL Tweet —
We’ll be DAMNED if we’re going to let five MEN—including some frat boy named Brett—strip us of our hard-won bodily autonomy and reproductive rights. #StopKavanaugh #SaveRoe

Andrew Cuomo threatens to sue the Supreme Court is Roe v Wade overturned.

NARAL, grow up. Or, rather, don’t. Please don’t, girls.

Governor, what court are you going to sue in that can override the Supreme Court? (Cuomo is so damn stupid he should just shoot himself through the head and have done with it.)

    • J. Soden says:

Listening to the recent comments by the Loonie Lefties, I believe they’ve evolved from discussion of issues to fist-waving protests and now to downright tantrums.
      Kindergarteners behave better!

  5. Tina says:

Libby: “…that situation concerns the woman and her doctor, not you.”

Agreed…I’ve said so many times before. If you practiced actually getting what I have to say, without inserting your own attitude and prejudice, you’d know this.

Doc/patient privacy has nothing to do with how our society addresses the issue with respect to our laws, reverence for life, and the degree to which we hold each other accountable. (A lot of docs won’t do abortions-first do no harm) We already hold each other accountable over many other acts and their outcomes: murder, rape, assault, theft, fraud, use of guns…fishing!

Why not responsibility and accountability regarding reproduction and conceived life?

Women, in particular radical feminists, have disrespected reproduction and behaved like selfish brat children who care only about themselves and their own comfort zones with total disregard for the life they (and their chosen partner) produced. It’s damned embarrassing!

Free and easy abortion does not always result in positive health outcomes for women…most are totally unaware of the downside. The “health” argument can work for both sides of the issue. No use going there. We need to up the standard and better educate the young about the downside of abortion.

Some argue that abortion is assault on a human being, violent as it is. The growing child, once conceived, they argue, also has rights. The people making this point are just as much a US citizen as you are and have the exact same right to debate the issue as you or any other person…and that includes men, who also have a stake in the issue in terms of responsibility and rights, since they are they other half of the equation.

You on the left want to ignore the act that puts a woman in the state of pregnancy as if it were something that just happens without her consent, like measels. That’s ridiculous. Many choices are made before a woman becomes pregnant. Most of them prior to an unwanted pregnancy are dumb.

The ONLY way to prevent pregnancy with 100% accuracy is abstinence. It’s simple truth that we can’t deny without looking like idiots.

If a woman wants to be responsible but still take some risk, she uses birth control. But her responsibility doesn’t end with that choice. Her responsibility continues and if pregnancy occurs even after precautions, the child becomes her first responsibility and priority. Whether she chooses to marry, to not marry but keep the child, or to give the child up for adoption…the new precious life should be her first priority. It’s the civilized, compassionate, responsible thing to do. Anything short of that is unacceptable in a civil, responsible society

None of us is stupid. What I’ve described should be the standard by which we strive to live. We agree, knowing there will be exceptions. But if we hold up the standard at least we have a better shot at making abortion safe, legal and RARE. (Prior to Roe the standard was: a dire threat to the health of the mother, rape, and gross deformities – it was not free sex without reproductive responsibility))

No matter how we write the law, whether it remains as is or states continue to put on restrictions, the culture must move toward reverence for life and responsible behavior as our standard if we want to hold our heads high again.

Why not take off that little girl attitude, rip up your Pu$$ hat, and face the issue like a grown, responsible woman?
