Camp Fire – Sunday Update

by Jack

Tonight is going to be another critical moment in the Camp Fire odyssey. Strong winds gusts are expected to fan the flames and send billions of hot embers far out behind the fire lines.   That’s what made Paradise indefensible, burning embers caused a thousand spot fires erupted all over town.  The fire department was overwhelmed and before mutual aide could arrive those small fires had grown to spread yet more embers.   (above – aluminum melted from the intense heat)

As of right now nobody can say what will happen tonight, but thousands of fire fighters are at the ready and they are trying as best they can to prepare for what comes.   A Red Flag warning is in place.  With a red flag warning, conditions are critical for fires and can lead to extreme fire behavior.

Whatever direction/s the Camp fire chooses to go we know that a nearby community will be threatened.  Berry Creek, Brush Creek, Bloomer, Oroville, even Chico…we don’t know what could be targeted next.   But, in all cases, we are as prepared as we can be.  Should that fateful evacuation order come, we have an escape plan, the rest is up to God.

As of Saturday evening, the Camp Fire had burned 105,000 acres – or 164 square miles – and destroyed an estimated 6,713 structures. Approximately 52,000 people have been evacuated from the fire, with additional evacuations issued for the communities of Berry Creek, Brush Creek, Mountain House and Bloomer Hill.  23 are known dead, another 180 are unaccounted for.

The cause of the Camp fire remains undetermined.

Moonbeam’s press conference crock blaming global warming for the fires prompted me to go find this . . . .

J this is how the left “sacrifices” for the “better good.” It’s regrettable that people had to lose their lives and/or all their possessions in these terrible fires, but if they can “convince just one person that global warming is problem, it will be worth funding silly bullet train instead of properly managing the forest.

Moonbeam is the glitter and glue in the crazy fantasies of the left.
