POST LIVE ADDENDUM: I should have noted this before but these live feeds become standard YouTube videos that can be watched at any time. So, if you missed it live you can still watch it. If you do so, please feel free to comment after the fact.

Pie here: I love the Trump rally preliminary music. Right now old blue eyes is singing “My Way.”

Pie here: I have always found it amusing and odd that Trump’s rally theme song is the Rolling Stone’s “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” A song about drug addiction which led to Jimi Hendrix’ death.

Nevertheless it is a great song. I am a solid Stones fan and own almost all of their albums and singles (on CD) even though the band members are hedonistic and political idiots. Brilliant musicians and marketing geniuses though. You gotta respect that.

Pie here: Trump rally preliminary music. Love the transition from Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” to “Con Te Patrio” (“Time To Say Goodbye”) as performed by Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman.

  4. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Trump arrives at the podium with a live rendition of Lee Greenwood singing “God Bless The USA.”

  5. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Trump remarks that terrorists have a one way ticket to hell. Works for me.

  6. Peggy says:

  7. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Love the enthusiastic guy “of color” with the long dreadlocks behind Trump. He is having a great time.

  9. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Mitch McConnell takes the podium. This is great stuff.

  10. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Now Rand Paul! You gotta love this.

  11. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Rand Paul “Subpoena Hunter Biden and subpoena the whistle blower.”

  12. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Person of color, Daniel Cameron, candidate for Kentucky Attorney General whom the Democrats tried to bar from running for office with a frivolous lawsuit takes the podium. Seriously folks, this is great stuf.

  13. RHT447 says:

Pre-existing conditions, pre-existing physicians. Love it.

  14. Peggy says:

Ahhhh, cute young couple on the right of Trump. They know where their path to a better future is.

  15. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Trump has been speaking extemporaneously for about an hour and 15 minutes. His energy is amazing.

  16. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: Thanks to Peggy and RHT447 for joining me! But this is essentially another flop. Once more on Wednesday folks. I hope to see every Post Scripts reader there including Lippy and Xippy.

  17. Post Scripts says:

Pie here: The post rally live camera commentary on the PBS feed is a hoot! I wish I was recording this. Pie out. Good night kids.

  18. Chris says:

For those outside the choir Trump is preaching to, Daniel Dale live-tweets fact-checks of every Trump rally, chronicling lies from the banal:

CNN doesn’t use visible “tally lights” on its cameras at Trump rallies. Trump has no way of knowing from the stage if CNN is recording or not, or live or not. In summary, his “look I just saw CNN’s light go off” shtick continues to be a lie…Sometimes, like tonight, Trump does the “CNN’s light just went off” routine in a tone that at least sorta suggests comedy. Other times he really sells it as serious. Either way, please note that it is factually inaccurate!

    To the disgusting:

Trump said last week that he had a “meeting set up” between the family of Harry Dunn and the woman who killed him in a car crash, Anne Sacoolas, but then lawyers got involved and it was called off….Dunn family spokesman Radd Seiger tells me that is a “lie.”…Dunn spokesman Seiger says a White House aide called him and asked the family to come meet with a “senior government official” who turned out to be Trump. On the train from NY, Seiger says, they talked about how maybe Sacoolas would be there, but thought the idea was “ludicrous”…Seiger described Trump’s attempt to broker a meeting as an ambush — Trump surprised them by telling them that Sacoolas was in the next room. Seiger said he looked at Dunn’s parents, “who were terrified,” and told Trump no, this wasn’t the time or place for a meeting.

He will lie about anything, as long as he thinks it makes himself look like a hero and his opponents look bad. As long as he continues to express hate for the same people that his supporters hate, the crowd will continue to go wild.
