What’s New? Not Much!

Posted by Tina

I’ve been absent for nearly a year. Has anything changed? Well yes, a lot has changed but the real story is not being told (smirk!). Consider the growing prosperity of the American people.

Trump policies have brought positive record breaking changes to every demographic! An amazing achievement, especially given the atmosphere.

Those among us who prefer the relentless pursuit to bring down a president refuse to celebrate this great achievement. How unfortunate.

This group has spent decades decrying the plight of the working poor, minorities, women, and children. This group blindly gives its support to policies and people that have failed to improve economic conditions. What’s going on? In the face of record breaking statistics they remain silent, combative, sullen and more determined than ever to impeach!! Explain, please.

I’ve missed you.

    Tina is back. YAY!

(Now the Souza troll, no doubt jumping with joy, can resume heaping insults, scorn, snark and his usual pompous ass parading about on her.)

I can answer that. The politics of Democrats is not and has never been what they claim it is to be. That is merely smoke and mirrors. The only thing Democrats care about is power. Recall LBJ’s remarks about the passage of civil rights legislation.

Side Note: As a youth I lived next to dyed in the wool Democrats. When abortion was made legal by the Supreme Court in 1969 they were very happy. Why? Because it will help keep the n***ers from reproducing.

No kidding, they actually said that.

Then the welfare state took a giant leap and ended up destroying the black family. Why? So that Democrats could keep their n***ers who did not opt for abortion on the Democrat plantation. It is about votes and power, period.

[Wherein Mr. Souza claims to have SUGGESTIVE EVIDENCE! *Yawn* Read on if you think it worth your time. Souza is spamming the comments section again. This evidence suggests that Souza should get a life. Perhaps I should abort him.]
      .
Strange. In 1969, Democrats were more likely to oppose abortion than Republicans: But in the late 1960s and early 1970s, many Republicans were behind efforts to liberalize and even decriminalize abortion; theirs was the party of reproductive choice, while Democrats, with their large Catholic constituency, were the opposition…Republican governor Ronald Reagan signed the California Therapeutic Abortion Act, one of the most liberal abortion laws in the country, in 1967…Richard Nixon, Barry Goldwater, Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush were all pro-choice, and they were not party outliers. In 1972, a Gallup poll found that 68 percent of Republicans believed abortion to be a private matter between a woman and her doctor. The government, they said, should not be involved. https://www.nybooks.com/articles/2018/11/08/how-republicans-became-anti-choice/ I don’t doubt you heard some Democrats express such sentiments, but the evidence suggests that those few don’t reveal much about what the parties thought about abortion then, let alone now.

[Pie: Wherein Mr. Souza whines and stamps his cute little feet. The poor fellow just can’t seem to get a break. Funny how he has the gall to call me rude given his history in the comments section. I suggest Souza try a little introspection.]

[Suggestive] Evidence isn’t spam, Pie. My [totally awesome] correction was civil, polite, and on-topic to your comment. There is simply no way for a [totally righteous] commenter [to disagree with to so totally awesomely correct] your conclusions here without such a rude response [dude].

[Now that Tina is back Chris can whine to her between his usual insults, snark, scorn and slurs that he has had a long habit of tossing at her. We’re all looking forward to that. Right?]

Ah yes 1969. The science regarding a child in the womb was in it’s infancy…no pun intended. Abortion was regarded as a serious matter to be considered and undertaken only under dire circumstances (RARE), such as health/life of the mother and cases of rape…particularly incest or child rape. Also the general population’s regard for human life and respect for the reproductive process was still healthy and strong in 1969. Not true today. Developments in photography and medicine brought the Life magazine spread, which gave many people pause. It’s one thing to be told “its just a blob” and quite another to see actual pictures of a growing, developing person. It’s also true that the left pushed the law through the years…6 weeks and full term are significant determining factors.

So Chris’s argument about Republicans actually demonstrates greater sense of compassion in them, as well as a greater respect for human life, including the unborn, and a more responsible attitude. Greater knowledge has been a factor here for both sides.

The left is about power and control no matter the subject.

    “Explain, please.”

OK, the liberals are going nuts with their Trump Derangement Syndrome. You can see that here…the Sousaphone is blowing some wild tunes!

And millennials are demanding socialism. And you’ll never see this in the US mainstream media…geez….gotta go to the Rooskies to get it straight…

Glad you’re back, Tina. I like how you emphasized the positive for your return. You might want to stay away from discussing California until you get your sea legs back.
    We missed you , too.
