Cindy McCain Duped by Fake News

by Jack

The widow of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday said that a story in the Atlantic claimed President Trump didn’t want to visit a French war dead cemetery because it was filled with losers and suckers.  McCain said this was the “last straw” in leading to her endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

However, since this story was first published the reporter has come under fire for making false statements.  Jeffry Goldberg (Atlantic) claimed Trump cancelled the trip, but in fact the trip was  cancelled by heavy rain and this was a key part in Goldberg’s story.   The next and most damning part of Goldberg’s story is Trump’s alleged statement about losers and suckers claimed by an anonymous source.

The White House had said at the time the decision was made because of poor weather for flying Marine One and the fact that the cemetery was too far a distance for a motorcade to drive.

One of the sources who refuted the Atlantic’s reporting is not a fan of Trump. Both sources said that Trump was upset about not being able to go to Aisne-Marne and said they had never heard Trump refer to war dead at Aisne-Marne or in the battle of Belau Wood as “losers” or “suckers.”

WHITE HOUSE ATTACKS ‘FALSE’ ATLANTIC STORY ABOUT TRUMP INSULTING DEAD SOLDIERS ‘WHAT A DISGRACE’

According to Atlantic’s Jeffry Goldberg, President Trump was overheard by his anonymous source saying he wanted to cancel the trip to the cemetery because “it’s filled with losers.”  However, there were many people around the president at this alleged time and nobody else heard that.

“At least fifteen Trump administration officials who were with Trump on that trip have now disputed the Atlantic report, including former national security adviser John Bolton.”

FOIA documents have also definitively proved that Trump’s visit to the cemetery was canceled due to weather. When Goldberg was asked about evidence that the cancelation was due to inclement weather, he admitted that it was likely true.  Goldberg refused to name the source of his story that was disputed by 15 witnesses.  Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, admitted that a key detail of his article about Trump “could be wrong” during an interview with CNN on Sunday.

Goldberg’s credibility has been challenged by a preponderance of evidence that indicates the entire story was false; yet the liberal media is still using it to garner headlines, like the one with Cindy McCain, a long time adversary of Trump’s.

Mrs. McCain sellout to the democrats doesn’t make her credibility look too good either.  Cindy McCain should not support Biden based on a well known lie or she is going to go down in history as just another useful fool for the left.

But still it is out there, and the liberal Biden bunch will drink the kool-aide by the gallon

No AZ voter is surprised by Cindy’s endorsement of Basement Biden. The whole family suffers/suffered from “little man syndrome” and do tantrums when they don’t get their way. I knew John McCain, and was not impressed by his nasty temper and sense of superiority.
Wonder if Cindy’s announcement had anything to do with TheDonald’s support in AZ that just went up . . . . . .
