If the Dems take the Senate you need only look at CA to see some of the horrific problems we’ll be facing almost immediately. Expect strict gun control, higher taxes, more restrictive job-killing regulations, more safety nets for non-productive people, including illegal aliens, military cuts, empowering of sanctuary cities, higher pump prices, a rollback on the age limit for medicare and that’s just for starters.
If they also take the White House you will see a hybrid-socialist government before Biden’s 3rd year is up. However, I doubt that Biden will finish his 4 years and then of course the presidency goes to Kamala Harris. A woman who couldn’t get past the first cut even among democrats when she ran for president.
Harris is a notorious gun-grabber, race-baiter, and socialist. The Dems had every right to reject her given her history in California, but if she follows Biden into the White House you might as well put a match to the Constitution because there will be no checks and balances anymore, the nation will be just like CA with one ruling party.
PS Why did Amazon give 10 million dollars to the BLM founders who have declared themselves to be Marxists and their objective is to overthrow the US government? It’s on the BLM website, it’s hardly a secret.
A friend of mine sent this to me. He’s was a prisoner of war in Vietnam, so this hits home to him. Funny how the Libs bury things. I guess they feel what’s a few more thousand lives . . . . . . .
Earlier this week, I finished reading Donald Rumsfeld’s wonderful biography of Gerald Ford, titled “When the Center Held.” It was written in 2018. The book clearly articulates that President Ford was a thoroughly good man, a special American, and a greatly underrated President. HOWEVER, there was a story in the book that was startling.
In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of the Vietnam War. As North Vietnam seized on the opportunity to test American resolve following President Nixon’s resignation, President Ford went to Congress to ask for a relief package to push back on the North Vietnamese to allow American personnel and our allies to evacuate. However, there was one US Senator who opposed any such support. The result was the embarrassing and hurried evacuation from the roof of the American embassy in Saigon. This senator reviled in the embarrassment and did everything he could to leverage it politically against Ford.
Despite the efforts of this U.S .Senator–President Ford managed to rescue 1,500 South Vietnamese allies prior to the country’s fall. Had President Ford not acted quickly, these people would have been targeted and slaughtered for their support for America. Saving them was a moral obligation.
When they arrived in America, President Ford asked Congress for a package to assist these refugees integrate into American society. But that troublesome US Senator showed up again and torpedoed any support for these shell shocked refugees. Instead, President Ford had to recruit Christian organizations to offer assistance on a voluntary basis. As he did so, the aforementioned Senator belittled those efforts.
What kind of person would oppose President Ford’s tireless work to do the right and humanitarian thing? Who would want to play politics with the well-being of innocent people who stood by America in the tragic Vietnam War?
That US Senator? Joe Biden.
TheDonald isn’t a saint and I’ve had my issues with him. But the gushing and revisionist history over Joe Biden and his record is nauseating.
Bet Biden’s acts were because Ford was a Republican and didn’t want him getting credit for saving lives that would potentially vote republican in the future. He would have authored the bill if there had been a democrat president.
The community college I worked at during this time had thousands of refugees enrolled. When the idiot faculty decided to invite Tom Hayden, Hanoi Jane’s husband at that time, as their graduation speaker all hell broke loose in the district with protest, threats to boycott graduation and the two colleges in the district. Hayden was eventually disinvited, but the huge Vietnam community and leaders made the district and community regret its insensitive treatment to those who had survived only to be slapped in the face and made to feel threatened again.

Assemblyman Tom Hayden’s commencement speech at San Jose City College has been canceled because officials fear violent protests by local Vietnamese, it was announced Wednesday.
The former anti-war activist, now a Democratic assemblyman from Santa Monica, had been scheduled to address the graduation exercises Friday evening at a school where about 40% of the 190 students expected to show up to receive their diplomas are Vietnamese.
