MAGA Victory: Sessions Announces Dark Web Trafficking Take Down – Criminals Take A Major Hit!

Posted by Tina

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a major victory this morning for his department and the American people. His team has shut down a major web drug sales marketplace (AlphaBay) that existed as part of the dark web. Daily transactions were in the hundreds of thousands:

When it was up, it sold drugs to more than 40,000 vendors that supplies more than 200,000 clients, law enforcement officials said. Dealers were able to buy drugs like fentanyl and heroin by using a technology called Tor, which allows people to browse anonymously and was originally created to avoid surveillance.

Dubbed the new “Silk Road” the site was considered the powerhouse for illegal trafficking. Federal officials have worked closely with officials in the Netherlands who also took down another dark web trafficking site, Hansa Market:

“This is an outstanding success by authorities in Europe and the US,” said Rob Wainwright, the executive director of Europol, during a special press conference in Washington DC. “The capability of drug traffickers and other serious criminals around the world has taken a serious hit today after a highly sophisticated joint action in multiple countries.

“By acting together on a global basis the law enforcement community has sent a clear message that we have the means to identify criminality and strike back, even in areas of the Dark Web. There are more of these operations to come,” he added

Related: AG Sessions will continue to do the job he loves and was hired to do despite recent remarks by his boss, for “as long as it’s appropriate.”

Mr. President a private meeting with AG Sessions to express your disappointment in his decision to recuse would have been more productive and appropriate. Jeff Sessions is doing a great job in fulfilling your promise to “Make America Safe Again.” I mean really, a slap in his face delivered to the New York Times? And certainly the timing…stepping on the announcement of a major “Make America Safe Again” victory with a thoughtless tweet was not a wise choice.

It’s a good start. He certainly has his work cut out for him—

Mercy. The worm has turned … or so it would seem.

Although, I have to say, I’m not seeing Mother Pence and Father Pence as a happy alternative.

But there won’t be any more tweeting … and that’s something.

  3. Libby says:

Oh, I just had to share:

We are losing all restraint (… “any working television” … cold). The one and only question now: How long are Ryan and McConnell going to let this go on?

  4. Tina says:

    Let this go on?

    Let what go on?

Our readers do not reside in your head.

    • Libby says:

For such a Constitutional advocate, you don’t seem to know much about the thing. It’s Ryan and McConnell who will be taking that walk down the block to inform The Donald that it’s all up.

Twice in one (my) lifetime. Fancy that.

      • Tina says:

        Oh do fancy that.

While you’re at it be aware, America will be watching. The travesty of justice will continue as power, in the hands of corrupted politicians, a compromised partisan media, wealthy funding sources (Soros), and crooked intelligence and bureaucracy types, manipulate and undermine the will of the people.

        You are exposing yourselves now.

  5. Peggy says:

Another reason to not trust the WaPo and the rest of the lame stream media. Fake news is destroying itself while it’s trying to take out Trump.

WaPo Buries Glaring Caveat On Latest Sessions Scoop:

“It wasn’t until the ninth paragraph WaPo finally revealed:
Officials emphasized that the information contradicting Sessions comes from U.S. intelligence on Kislyak’s communications with the Kremlin, and they acknowledged that the Russian ambassador could have mischaracterized or exaggerated the nature of his interactions.”

Given the probability that all of the so-called clandestine Russian meetings, when they happen, are as common as breathing and done by anyone holding office under Obama, this witch hunt is flagging. The DNC and the elite left media is just showing themselves as corrupt operations and the people have had it!

Say what you will about Trump, he has pulled back the curtain and gave everyone permission to speak their minds.

There’s evidence elsewhere that the Demos are still losing:

Monica Showalter, The American Thinker, “Republicans blow out Democrats out of the water on fundraising – wonder why?”

      • Peggy says:

And the DNC is in the hole $3.3 million. They can’t run their own organization. Why should anyone believe they could run our country without bankrupting it too?

Remember last year Miss Debbie wanted Congress to give both the DNC and RNC $20 million each? The DNC needed it to fund their convention. They didn’t get it because the RNC said no, they didn’t need it. Looks like all of them mega super stars, Soros and Bloomberg didn’t fork over the big bucks to keep them afloat.

Given the probability that all of the so-called clandestine Russian meetings, when they happen, are as common as breathing and done by anyone holding office under Obama

        You’re missing two things here:

        1. “Holding office” is a key phrase in your sentence, and you don’t even realize that. At the time of the meetings, Trump was not in office, therefore Sessions had no legal right to discuss issues of diplomacy on Trump’s behalf. And he certainly never had any right to discuss campaign issues with a foreign government. Which is why Sessions lied about it.

        2. The problem is probably more with the lies than the meetings themselves. Trump officials keep getting caught in these lies. The question is: why?

I have not yet come to any conclusion about whether Trump or his campaign is guilty of conspiring with the Russian government to influence the outcome of the election, and I won’t ask you to accept any conclusion without more evidence. But I do want you to think about this: If Trump were guilty of this, would anything about his current behavior, or the behavior of his staff, be any different? I would imagine if they were guilty, they would be doing exactly what they are doing now: denying, obfuscating, playing the victim, and trying to discredit news accounts that accurately expose their denials as lies. They behave like guilty people, or at the very least, people with something to hide. So let’s keep finding out what they’re hiding.

        • Tina says:

“Sessions had no legal right to discuss issues of diplomacy on Trump’s behalf. And he certainly never had any right to discuss campaign issues with a foreign government. Which is why Sessions lied about it.”

That’s the story according to “current and former U.S. officials” that spoke to the Washington Post. Was the transcript evidence of inappropriate conversations produced? Or is this just another story to prompt Trump haters?

Legal right to discuss diplomacy?” What exactly does that mean to you?

People in government discuss policy informally, in particular international matters all the time. As a Senator, Sessions certainly had the “right” to discuss diplomatic matters as a senior member of the Armed Services Committee and of the Environment and Public Works Committee. Such conversations cannot be all that uncommon especially in anticipation of a new administration. Any conversation would be pure speculation and guessing…no one knew who would win when the meetings happened.

Sessions lied about it? Or was it simply an oversight became an issue because of a Russia Russia Russia witch hunt including the illegal disclosure of unrelated information in a (questionably legal) FISA wiretap?

And by the way, how is it that these illegal disclosures don’t rise to the level of outrage in the media? The crime has a fairly hefty penalty and the fact that it happened is not speculation…it happened! It follows a broad pattern of criminal behavior that your party has been getting away with for quite some time.

The FISA warrant was issued one week after Bill Clinton met with Lorretta Lynch on the tarmac…another meeting that produced no outrage in the media and your party.

“They behave like guilty people, or at the very least, people with something to hide.”

Or people that are all too familiar with the marriage between the media and the Democrat Party and the tactic, since Watergate, of taking out the opposition through deceitful demonizing methods using innuendo, speculation, anonymous sources, and, in the Obama administration, the illegal use and abuse of various departments (IRS, Justice, FBI, OSHA, ATF) and of government processes (501C4 application, FISA, witnesses who are not put under oath, narrow. investigations designed to protect government officials).

My position is that the people are not being served because of corrupted agencies and departments, corrupted media, and corrupted politicians. Sorting out who’s who is certainly not something you or I can do. The problem appears to be so bad that even those who wish to expose and root out corruption become impaired and impeded with similarly discrediting attacks.

I admit I have a bias that leans heavily on greater Democrat corruption and I admit I feel justified because of the criminal and immoral acts that Democrats have not had to pay for due to their partners in crime…media, lawyers, and a stable of embedded politicized bureaucrats. There’s a history of leaked information that harmed national security and the war effort during Republican administrations.

I also acknowledge a communication problem within the administration that results in mixed messaging. Whether these very bad errors constitute “lies” is another thing. One way or another it is something the administration must deal with and soon. It may be the main reason Scaramucci was hired.

The things you want me to “think about” didn’t seem to matter to you when Hillary and Obama were under scrutiny…what’s the difference now?

    • Chris says:

Peggy, that argument is absurd. The WaPo article literally opens with “Russia’s ambassador to Washington told his superiors in Moscow…” Readers can obviously intuit that the Russian ambassador may be lying, and nothing in the article implies that the ambassador’s word is the gospel truth. Furthermore, Sessions has not denied the story.

To call that “fake news” is to make a mockery of the term, and to be more upset by WaPo waiting nine paragraphs to point out the obvious than Sessions’ demonstrable lies about meeting with the Russians and what he discussed with them is the worst kind of bias.

      • Peggy says:

You really need to pay closer attention to what people say and not hear what you want. Sessions said he didn’t talk to Russians about the Trump campaign. He didn’t say he never met with them. Everyone in DC was meeting with the Russian ambassador. That’s why he was there and to report back to Moscow. So, Sessions has not lied.

Wake up. Everyone, except those who are fooling themselves, can see what is going on. The media has joined with Democrats and establishment Republicans to take out Trump because he’s a threat to their survival. He’ll use Twitter to get his message out rendering reporters nonessential.

And I’d expect him to threaten republicans up for reelection to support their opponent. Just like McConnell has done against Tea Party candidates like Matt Blevin. Pelosi and Schumer are doing the same thing.

Just a reminder of meetings and activities that are/were never held up as a basis to begin investigations and extended scandal speculation and crisis:

World News, “Leading Democrat Senator Busted Lying About Meeting With Russians” – “Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill denied meeting with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, and further used this as proof Jeff Sessions was out of the norm when he met with the same guy. … McCaskill office claims her failure to disclose these events as required by law were just simple oversights.”

Daily Beast On Friday afternoon, President Trump tweeted an image of Senator Chuck Schumer standing next to Russian President Vladimir Putin. It depicts the two men seemingly cordially holding coffee and donuts.” (see image at link)

FOX News: “…it turns out Sergey Kislyak is no stranger to lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. The longtime Russian ambassador met with seven then-Democratic senators in a single sit-down in 2013, among other discussions – and reportedly was a frequent visitor to the Obama White House. … McCaskill’s 2013 meeting was the one involving a total of seven Democratic senators. She joined several Republicans and six other Democratic senators that day in an appeal to Kislyak for Moscow to reverse its blockade of U.S. adoptions of Russian children. … Other Democratic senators in that meeting were: Sens. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Maria Cantwell of Washington, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Robert Casey of Pennsylvania and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island.

Forbes, “No One Mentions That The Russian Trail Leads To Democratic Lobbyists” – “K Street lobbyists are the symbol of Washington influence-peddling as they push government for favors, subsidies, exemptions, and other special treatment for their clients. Their customers include, in addition to domestic clients, foreign governments, oligarchs, fugitive speculators, and a rogue’s gallery of questionable figures. Washington lobbyists trade on their access to power. Many are former administration officials or members of Congress. If Trump fulfills his promise to “drain the swamp,” these influence peddlers would have nothing to sell. They are under attack.

The media has focused not on K Street but on the Russian ties of President Donald Trump’s associates. They list the reprehensible Kremlin-associated figures for whom members of his inner circle worked, the most notorious being Viktor Yanukovich, the deposed president of Ukraine, and fugitive oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. But both of these “repulsive” figures were also advised by Democratic top dogs, who likely earned large multiples of what the “small fry” Trump associates took home.

In pushing its Manchurian-candidate-Trump narrative, the media fail to mention the much deeper ties of Democratic lobbyists to Russia. Don’t worry, the media seems to say: Even though they are representing Russia, the lobbyists are good upstanding citizens, not like the Trump people. They can be trusted with such delicate matters. …

… The media’s focus on Trump’s Russian connections ignores the much more extensive and lucrative business relationships of top Democrats with Kremlin-associated oligarchs and companies. Thanks to the Panama Papers, we know that the Podesta Group (founded by John Podesta’s brother, Tony) lobbied for Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank. “Sberbank is the Kremlin, they don’t do anything major without Putin’s go-ahead, and they don’t tell him ‘no’ either,” explained a retired senior U.S. intelligence official. According to a Reuters report, Tony Podesta was “among the high-profile lobbyists registered to represent organizations backing Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.” Among these was the European Center, which paid Podesta $900,000 for his lobbying.

That’s not all: The busy Podesta Group also represented Uranium One, a uranium company acquired by the Russian government which received approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department to mine for uranium in the U.S. and gave Russia twenty percent control of US uranium. The New York Times reported Uranium One’s chairman, Frank Guistra, made significant donations to the Clinton Foundation, and Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech from a Russian investment bank that has “links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.” Notably, Frank Giustra, the Clinton Foundation’s largest and most controversial donor, does not appear anywhere in Clinton’s “non-private” emails. It is possible that the emails of such key donors were automatically scrubbed to protect the Clinton Foundation.

Let’s not leave out fugitive Ukrainian oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. He is represented by Democratic heavyweight lawyer, Lanny Davis, who accused Trump of “inviting Putin to commit espionage” (Trump’s quip: If Putin has Hillary’s emails, release them) but denies all wrongdoing by Hillary.

That’s still not all: Rep. John Conyers (D., Mich.) read Kremlin propaganda into the Congressional Record, referring to Ukrainian militia as “repulsive Neo Nazis” in denying Ukrainian forces ManPad weapons. Conyers floor speech was surely a notable success of some Kremlin lobbyist.

Lobbying for Russia is a bi-partisan activity. Gazprombank GPB, a subsidiary of Russia’s third largest bank, Gazprombank, is represented by former Sen. John Breaux, (D., La.), and former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R., Miss.), as main lobbyists on “banking laws and regulations, including applicable sanctions.” The Breaux-Lott client is currently in the Treasury Department list of Russian firms prohibited from debt financing with U.S. banks.
