Central American Invaders Number 10,000 – Purpose Behind the Motto on the Great Seal of the United States

Posted by Tina

“E Plurubus Unum”…does it mean we must allow anyone to enter our nation at any time?

A great caravan of peoplefrom Central America are, once again, intent on invading our country. The waves show no signs of slowing or ending. This human assault on American sovereignty is an organized event. The group, Pueblo Sin Fronteras, is behind this movement. See demands and committees here and here

The men leading the marchers carry the flags of their homeland(s) and have been heard singing their national anthem(s). These are not people who love America. These are not people seeking asylum. Even if they were, international law requires them to seek asylum in the nation where they first cross…for many that would be Mexico.

President Trump has asked them to turn back. He has informed the nations in question that American support will be denied if they fail to arrest this invasion. He’s also sent 800 soldiers to our border to assist border security.

Like it or not many of these invaders will be allowed to disappear into our country…they will be released and will not show up at court as instructed. Many of them are headed for San DIEgo. Neither Trump nor the military can fix this. Congress must act.

Our votes are vital in the coming election. If we lose the House nothing will be done to close the border, build the wall, or update immigration laws. Invaders will be encouraged by the election of open border and sanctuary city leadership. It’s unimaginable that left leadership encourages mayhem over civility and the rule of law. They do not care about the stresses these invasions place on local services and resources. They do not care about the impact in classrooms, Emergency Rooms, or local law enforcement.

Ned Ryan at The Hill makes an important observation:

The United States is under zero moral obligations to take citizens from misgoverned countries around the globe. We are not an escape valve for the breakdown of civil society in Central America, nor are American taxpayers some sort of backstop for the Mexican government that refuses to fulfill its own obligations towards asylum seekers.

I welcome your thoughts.

Additional food for thought. Many on the left have taken the motto “E Pluribus Unum,” affixed to our official seal, to symbolize that we are a nation of immigrants. This often used arguments for open borders is false. Although we are a melting pot nation the history behind our official seal suggest a quite different motive in using the motto:

On August 20, 1776, this first committee submitted their Great Seal design to Congress (including Benjamin Franklin’s idea for the reverse side).

Although their design was not approved (and two more committees would be appointed), their motto E Pluribus Unum was selected by Charles Thomson in 1782 when he created the final Great Seal whose centerpiece is the American bald Eagle:

“in his beak a scroll, inscribed with this Motto. “E pluribus unum”.”

Thomson explained that the motto E pluribus unum alludes to the union between the states and federal government, as symbolized by the shield on the eagle’s breast. The thirteen stripes “represent the several states all joined in one solid compact entire, supporting a Chief, which unites the whole & represents Congress.

Interesting, no?

There is a old saying about people who don’t remember history, and in most all of Lippy’s posts she doesn’t seem to remember it.

        But I repeat myself……………

Libby: your remarks are always so well-thought out, and valuable for explaining the basis for your opinions on important matters. “Blather? Yes!”
For instance, I now understand why you think it’s a good idea to allow thousands more potentially diseased, possibly felonious, unskilled and unemployable strangers into our neighborhoods without processing them like we do legal immigrants.
And now I get your feelings about why you hate the idea of E pluribus unum representing this nation as a republic. After all, the fact that we’re not a democracy is why Hillary is not our commander-in-chief.
So please, Libby, continue sharing your scholarly thoughts on national issues.

      The Idiot attacks!

  1. J. Soden says:

Spokespeople for the “migrants” in the caravan claim they are heading for the US because of “jobs.”
Mexico has offered jobs, housing and food to those in the caravan and have been refused.
    Guess it’s not about jobs at all – is it . . . . . . .

  2. Peggy says:

I’m done with being the solution to other countries’ problems. Every year we send them millions in aid for their people that instead ends up in the pockets of the rich leaders. I agree with Trump’s plan to cut off all aid to countries who do not help resolve this caravan. It’s the old saying, “Things won’t change until it becomes important to them.”

Reported on the news this morning the people who live in the cities of Mexico are furious at the trashing done by the caravan travelers that other cities north are refusing to allow them entry. Also reported was they had traveled 60 miles yesterday. There’s no way women, children and men can walk that distance in one day. They are being transported by vehicles forced to stop by local police and take on as many people as possible.

I don’t want to see anyone hurt, but I want them all to be turned back. The next caravan is already forming and would be discouraged to leave if they knew this first group was denied to enter the US.

  3. Pie Guevara says:

The notion of sovereignty is clearly antithetical to progressive globalist ideology. Hence they are encouraged to come here by the Rat Party in the belief they will never be sent back home. Which is true. 99% are released pending hearings and disappear into the interior, never returning to court, never being deported and the Rats offer “sanctuary.”

Some laws must change and others must be enforced.

Here is a photo of activists demonstrating in support of the caravan.

    Questions —

Are these wonderful people or not?
Have you had enough of this despicable and idiotic nonsense or not?
Do you give a damn about the USA and the rule of law or not?
Do you give a damn about US sovereignty or not?

About 90% young males. MS13 in abundance according to one person traveling to the US.

CONGRESS MUST ACT! We must have laws that are enforceable and discourage illegal entry. BUILD THE WALL!!!

  5. Libby says:

Here’s some history, from Wiki …

“St Augustine used the non-truncated variant of the phrase, ex pluribus unum, in his Confessions (e is the form of the Latin preposition ex that regularly appears before words beginning with a consonant). But it seems more likely that the phrase refers to Cicero’s paraphrase of Pythagoras in his De Officiis, as part of his discussion of basic family and social bonds as the origin of societies and states: “When each person loves the other as much as himself, it makes one out of many (unus fiat ex pluribus), as Pythagoras wishes things to be in friendship.”[12]”

    But then …

“Never codified by law, E pluribus unum was considered a de facto motto of the United States[5] until 1956 when the United States Congress passed an act (H. J. Resolution 396), adopting “In God We Trust” as the official motto.[6]”

Very convenient … as it does seem to be your version of “God” that makes it possible to for you to behave so very badly toward people much worse off than yourselves.

    Sicko.

    • Tina says:

You have no idea how any of us behaves toward people much worse off than we.

You pretend to be superior in this regard but if a like hoard broke into your own home and demand food shelter and healthcare your resources would soon be depleted completely and all you would have done is weakened yourself. Not a good plan.

We’re talking about the ability to remain a nation of prosperity and laws, a nation that others might want to emulate. If you and your buds didn’t support the highly unrealistic idea that the US can save everyone from all the countries that prefer socialist and communist ideals, we could come up with laws that work…for us as well as those who wish to immigrate here…LEGALLY!

None of this changes the fact that the original meaning behind the use of the motto was in regard to the several states unifying. It had nothing to do with immigration or the melting pot aspect of our nation…or any moral obligation to have open borders and sanctuary cities!

The Great Seal still has E Pluribus Unum on it.

The motto “In God We Trust” was petitioned by a citizen and passed by Congress following the Civil War. “My” God was never the point. The Christians gave you a secular government, ya know. The athiests and agnostics of that day were a lot more tolerant than you.

Are you so full of yerself that you can’t stand the thought of your fellow citizens calling on a higher power to bless this nation?

  6. Chris says:

    “Invaders?”

Forgive them, father, for they know not what they do.

    • Pie Guevara says:

What do you call them, Chris? Welcome guests no doubt.

Nice virtue signalling! I am truly impressed! All bow to the more moral than thou twerp who welcomes the invasion of illegal aliens. Some things never change. Typical libtard posturing.

You and the rest of your mentally deranged ilk don’t give a crap about sovereignty or a secure border. You don’t give a crap about all the people who go through the legitimate and legal immigration process. You care more for criminal illegals than you do for honest citizens. 22 million illegals (a low estimate) isn’t enough for you? How many more millions until you say, well, that’s enough? 20 million more?

  7. Tina says:

Chris it’s an apt description. An invader could also be described as an intruder. Either way they are not entering lawfully and in this number it’s closer to an invasion than a friendly visit.

Democrats tell us they are looking for asylum from a dangerous situation. They’ve sent lawyers to teach them what to say when they cross the border to get asylum. But when asked by reporters they say they want jobs. A person here and there crossing the border illegally in search of a job is a guy who is willing to take a chance and knowingly breaks the law. Waves of organized groups of mostly young men, numbering in the thousands is an invasion.

International law states that if they are to be considered asylum seekers they should ask in the first country they enter. They have rejected offers of jobs, food and healthcare in Mexico. Their mission is to invade our country, taking advantage of our stupid outdated immigration laws, and stay as long as they can.

America welcomes legal immigrants from most countries of the world. We are not obligated to accept people who break our laws. We are certainly not obligated to take in criminals or political activists bent on disrupting and undermining our nation.

Republicans want law and order. It’s not a bad thing.
