The IRS Under Lois Lerner Engaged in Corrupt Practices – Nothing Has Changed

by Jack

Anyone who cares about the rule of law  should be appalled that someone at the IRS leaked parts of Donald Trump’s tax records to the media.

Tax returns are  considered to be protected property and unlawful p0ssession is a crime.  They must stay private until the IRS or the documents owner says otherwise.

In the case of Donald Trump the IRS hasn’t claimed Trump did anything wrong, so how dare anyone in the IRS release his confidential information to a news media.   This is clearly a federal crime and it needs to be  investigated.

It’s time for the FBI to step and do their job and the leaker/s need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and then I hope they will be sued by Trump for every penny they have.

The democrats can argue that if he had nothing to hide what’s the problem?  The problem is it’s illegal to steal someone’s tax returns.  However, remember Obama’s college thesis and transcripts being released to the public?  Me either.. . those hypocrites.  This all about overturning an election by any means and it stinks.

“Trump’s tax returns will be pilloried by armies of experts, perhaps even placing him on the grassy knoll with Ted Cruz’s father. Even if his storied audit is over, Congressional or public viewing could change that. His tax returns could become the new Mueller investigation.”  New York Times

Until a candidate’s tax records must be released by law for the office of president,  the democrats should shut up and return the stolen IRS property.  Seeking to overturn an election using theft, it was wrong in Watergate and it’s wrong now.   Those involved should never again hold public office.

Everyone should be concerned a private citizen’s tax information was made public. If it could happen to the president, it could happen to anyone. Will we now see Pelosi’s and Shumar’s? I’d really like to see how public servants became millionaires as career politicians. Trump was a billionaire businessman who lost a bunch of money during a difficult economic time. Any adult during those years remembers them.

What successful business person hasn’t lost money at times while growing and expanding their business? I know my own small business fell on hard times during the late 80s too. Not noted and should be is Trump fought back and turned a huge loss into a even bigger gain. He even wrote a bestseller book called, “The Art of the Comeback,” and was praised for his brilliance.

The Dems are not going to stop trying to destroy this man and his family. That’s what’s really newsworthy. Not a businessman’s finances 30 years ago when the whole nation was dealing with a slow economy. Trump deserves credit for trying to do for the country what he succeeded in doing for his business. Period.

    Banking Crisis Of The 1980s:

    BY JOHN SUMMA
The 2008-2009 banking and credit crisis has been dubbed the worst since the Great Depression’s wave of bank failures. But another banking crisis, which took place during the 1980s and early 1990s, ranks as one of the worst global credit disasters in history.

Often overlooked amid the clamor of the 2008 credit bubble collapse, what became known as the S&L crisis ultimately led to a massive taxpayer-funded rescue of an industry that had essentially collapsed.

While smaller in magnitude than the bank crisis of the 1920s and 1930s, the S&L crisis pushed the state and federal regulatory and deposit banking insurance systems to their limits, ultimately leading to widespread changes to the regulatory environment. These events may come as a surprise to anybody too young to remember.”

No, he falsely claimed to be a billionaire.

What successful business person hasn’t lost money at times while growing and expanding their business?

Did you miss the part where the NYT found that he lost more than almost any other taxpayer? Because if you read that, and then tried to pretend that he just lost money in a typical way like most other business people, that’s active dishonesty. And if you didn’t know that, you’re woefully uninformed.

Either Trump lied about how much he lost to avoid paying taxes or he just isn’t a very good businessman. But you can’t accept either possibility, so you ignore the facts.

He even wrote a bestseller book called, “The Art of the Comeback,” and was praised for his brilliance.

He did not write that himself. There is no way you don’t know this.

Who needs Hollywood when we have an unending supply of humor from the folks we hired to run things? As we see the IRS clowning around with their fiduciary responsibilities, it’s like watching a Marx brother’s movie. A bunch of bumbling con artists escaping justice time after time.
Congress? How can you not giggle at the spectacle of multiple Wiley Coyotes chasing Donald the Roadrunner. No matter how many times they blow themselves up or fall off cliffs with giant boulders following, they keep coming back for another shot at him.

The new crop of liberal wannabe presidential candidates? If humor was still allowed, they could provide 24/7 laughs with their ideas of how they intend to provide free stuff for everyone.
And don’t forget our system of justice. Inspector Clouseau as a high ranking FBI agent out to make the world better.
It’s a shame that we’ve become a country without a sense of humor. We have so much out there to laugh at. But don’t try it in public. Somebody will be offended.

“The Democrats” don’t have it. It was leaked to the New York Times. And this is not a standard you have held your own party to. When e-mails from the DNC were leaked by Russian hackers, you didn’t object to the Trump campaign happily using them to their benefit, nor did you abstain from talking about the content of those e-mails, as you are abstaining from talking about the embarrassing revelations about Trump’s taxes here. In fact, when the Trump campaign was offered dirt they knew to be illegally obtained from a source who told them they were working on behalf of the Russian government to help Trump get elected, they jumped at the chance, with Don Jr. replying “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

Neither you nor any other conservative poster on this site has ever criticized that.

We also don’t know if they were leaked by someone in the IRS.

Seeking to overturn an election using theft,

No one is “seeking to overturn an election.” Even impeachment does not “overturn an election.” This is a meaningless phrase meant to make democratic processes–such as impeachment–look inherently sinister.

The democrats can argue that if he had nothing to hide what’s the problem? The problem is it’s illegal to steal someone’s tax returns. However, remember Obama’s college thesis and transcripts being released to the public? Me either.. . those hypocrites.

That does not show hypocrisy for two reasons. The first is that there’s no evidence that the person or people who leaked Trump’s tax returns were in a positon to also leak Obama’s college thesis and transcripts. The second is that the two are nothing alike. It has not been the norm since the sixties for the president to release college transcripts. It has absolutely been the norm since the sixties for the president to release their tax returns. Trump was the first in decades to defy this norm, refusing to be transparent, and now we know why: because he has been lying to the public for decades about his wealth and business acumen.

Hypocrisy would be if Obama had refused to release his tax returns and those were leaked, and then Democrats argued that we shouldn’t talk about what was in them and should instead focus on punishing the leakers, only to take the opposite stance with Trump. But that didn’t happen, because Obama released his returns.

It’s important to remember that Trump rose to political power by leading a witch hunt against President Obama to get him to release his long-form birth certificate, a document Obama did not have access to and had never been asked of any other president, after Obama had already made public a copy of his legal birth certificate online before he was even elected. You want to talk hypocrisy? Why not point that finger in the direction of the guy who argued Obama needed to do all of that, but who doesn’t think he should release his own tax returns?

SOMEBODY at the IRS leaked TheDonald’s tax returns. They just didn’t fall off the turnip truck. Each and every taxpayer should be appalled at this since you could be the next target.
Lois Lerner was rewarded with her pension and no charges from the Obumble admin’s selective law enforcement.
